She read the reviews herself, guided by them. So I consider it necessary to leave information for other potential vacationers.
I read the previous negative review - the overall picture - everything is very bad. Complete negative. Yes, almost all of the above is true. I just treat everything with great optimism, so the surroundings were not perceived so tragically. I read the information on this hotel in advance, looked at the photo. So what I saw in advance, I saw firsthand. By the way, the rules for check-in and check-out time are the same in Crimea, and it is written on the hotel website . . But our transfer was at a more convenient time. Waited for 10 minutes, no more.
Stayed 7 nights, 8 days. Lovers of trips, so there were practically no 4 days in the hotel at all. I can only compare with the Crimea. What prices - such and service. No one was rude to us, the air conditioner worked, the water was always hot and cold (we slept at night, I don’t know what happened there, they didn’t open the water at three in the morning : ) ). We took a special room in the left wing, it is quieter there. The window was closed - the air conditioner was turned on - we slept perfectly. White linen (really not changed). The mattress is comfortable, the pillow is not big (I don’t like big ones), so my husband and I were comfortable. Towels were changed, garbage was thrown out every day. Towels are white, normal. The water doesn't flow out very well. . . but it flows out safely! I used the bath as a shower. . . no need for a cork. There are no foreign smells. The palace is dirty. . . but not to the point of disgrace. In general, the interior is very simple without any pretensions, but it's not a problem, it didn't bother us at all. To say that it was very hot... after our plus 50 at home, the local plus 30 was tolerated normally, then we did not expire.
Yes, the energy saving system - they came - they turned on the electricity with the key fob and . . voila! And if you are not, there is no light. But in the minibar we kept sausage (where could we go without it - tasty and smoked brought from home), fruit (we took it at the KIPA supermarket, cheaper than in Ukraine, as well as at the local market - choose what you want, there is plenty of everything), vodka, water (bought large cans and drank as much as they like). We took a kettle with us, plus tea and coffee. They drank when they wanted and as much as they wanted (we are people who grew up in the Soviet Union, we survive comfortably in any conditions) : )
The food is really not ours, not familiar, insipid (by the way, the same was given on a two-day excursion to Ephesus - Pamukkale at two different catering points), so this is not a feature of this hotel. By the way, if you are with small children - THIS IS NOT FOR A CHILD FOOD. !! ! Although there were people with babies from eight months old - I don’t know what they fed him....
There is no lunch at the hotel - no problem, we were almost always absent. Dinner WITHOUT DRINKS! - this is not convenient, not familiar, they can be bought right there in the bar (expensive). We didn't buy anything. The same story was repeated on an excursion to Ephesus - Pamukkale. So it's the price of the tour, not the customs of the hotel! You pay more - drinks are included. The food is really not great. The first is puree soup. We do not have this. And the rest - described in more detail in the previous review. As a whole - the truth. I will only say that hunger does not threaten you. Instead of drinks, I ate watermelon (delicious, sweet, eat until you burst) after dinner. Then they drank tea and coffee in the room (optional).
Not very far from Ataturk Square - we walked just like that, for fun. Without straining. When compared with Nikolaev - where we live - the streets are clean. Not sterile, of course.
Excursions were taken at a local point. Were on the islands of the Aegean Sea, diving, Ephesus-Pamukale (two-day excursion).
What we expected and wanted from the trip - that's what we got. They were very satisfied.
A few words about Tour-tess. Regarding the transfer - no complaints, everything is fine. But, as for the tour service - NO. It's true. Student girls work (this is their practice). Speech is slurred and unprofessional. They offer a free sightseeing tour of Marmaris - these are tears, not an excursion. They literally said a couple of phrases (I read this on the Internet without them), and then shopping: gold; leather; delight. All this is expensive. Think of it as entertainment, not a place to shop. Free ride around the city, and okay. By the way, they didn’t choose the places for the photo against the backdrop of Marmaris, we then drove from the Aegean Sea, the driver stopped, without any requests - we took pictures!
We didn't like Irina, "attached" to Ojaktan. She tried to offer us excursions (the avenue is still given on the bus on the way from the airport)... but the prices are MUCH ABOVE THE AVERAGE IN THE CITY !! ! Do not try to order something from this Ira ! ! By the way, when we told her that we would refrain from orders for the time being, she simply made a displeased, sour face... Well, God bless her ! ! We didn't see her again!! ! More importantly, your insurance applies regardless of where you bought the tour, but if you drank, there will be problems with paying for medical services. Please note!
In conclusion, I want to say - everything is in your hands! Information is your main asset. Read about the hotel, reviews, what you can see - everything is on the Internet. We rode with open eyes - we knew what and how it was, what we could count on. It helped save us some nerves. Remember that your rest is primarily in your hands!! ! Create it yourself, don't expect a miracle!
We arrived in a great mood, rested, tanned with a desire to visit other places, of which there are a lot! Positive is an excellent weapon and protection against small nuances that you should not pay attention to at all! Have a wonderful holiday!

About dirty uncleaned rooms, non-working air conditioners, a stuffy hotel, about a supposedly free dirty beach with broken sunbeds and torn umbrellas, poor food, a dirty pool, impolite staff and unwritten rules.
DON'T BE LAZY, READ TILL THE END!
FIRST IMPRESSIONS. CHECK IN
The departure was at 4.05, we arrived in Dalaman at 7:50, from where we reached Marmaris by bus in an hour and a half, and already at 9:30 or even a little earlier we were at the hotel reception.
I would immediately like to say about the first impression - the entrance to the hotel is somewhere on the side, you can’t even see it, you can’t even see the name of the hotel, it feels like you are entering some kind of underground room.
And when you enter, this feeling grows, because not a single lamp works in the hall, and the windows are curtained, it turns out very dark.
To this add gloomy shabby furniture, dark floors, dark walls. In addition to the darkness, the floor mats are striking - they are very very dirty, they look about ten years old, no less, they are not only shabby, but they have even lost their color and acquired the color of dust and dirt, and the laminate on the floor is clearly shabby and also ugly looking. At the reception desk itself, one light is on, the reception is very unsightly and unrespectable, you can’t even say that it is a reception.
By the way, when you enter the hotel, you see not the reception (as, in fact, it would be correct), but the toilets, which, as it turned out, are just as gloomy, not cleaned and gouged. And only then, turning to the right, after the room with safes (old shabby lockers), is the so-called reception.
But that's not all the first impressions: when you enter the hotel, it's like entering a sauna - the room is very stuffy (much stuffier than even outside in the sun) and hot.
The air conditioners don't work. As it turned out, throughout the hotel. But more on that later.
So. We stopped at this hotel after 24 hours without sleep and rest, from the road, all wet and very tired. We thought we would freshen up at the hotel, because air conditioners should work there, well, we thought we would be settled right away. Well, yes, where they should and where they should not. We went in, and it got even hotter, everyone was just sweating. About 15 more people came with us. Guide TourTessa on the bus told us to go to the reception, gave our vouchers for registration at the hotel. We all did. Only now they didn’t take vouchers from us, but they told us to look at the clock (it was 9:30 on the clock) and pointed to a piece of paper hanging to the right of the reception, on which it was written that the check-in time, attention - 14:00. Everyone began whispering with horror, and turning to the receptionist, how is it possible to speed up the check-in somehow, and in general what to do all these 4.5 hours?
To which the answer was received that he would try, of course, but in general the check-in time is at 14:00 and we need to wait all this time.
We approached the guide who was taking us on the bus and said that they would quickly settle us, asked what was the matter, she rolled her eyes, as if she was out of touch, ran to the reception, then back to us and said that yes, indeed, international the check-in and check-out rules are as follows, but for now we can already enjoy our vacation, go to have breakfast (which we did, we will write about it in the “food” section below), swim in the sea and swim in the pool, and take a walk around the city.
She probably has a very rich inner world and a kind soul, since she sincerely believes that people who are 24 hours without sleep, hungry, sweaty, dirty and very tired from the road, being in the stuffy hot Marmaris, will easily walk around the city at +42 , or unpack their suitcases in a tiny stuffy hall, go to the dirty toilet for changing clothes and, with a cheerful mood and smiles, will splash in the sea or the pool, which, by the way, is dirty and unwashed. More on that later too.
In complete disappointment, more than 15 people tried to somehow mark themselves in the lobby. Sweat just really flowed. After an hour and a half of waiting, some boy from the reception (and as it turned out, he was everywhere in the wings, from a lack of staff in the hotel) decided to open the window anyway. It didn’t get any easier, but at least there was a breath of air.
We asked for water. Two more elderly women were waiting next to us, for whom it was clearly harder than for us.
At the request for water, the receptionist pointed to their cafe, and offered us to buy water there. When I asked if there really was no water in the hotel, and couldn’t they at least offer water to those exhausted people waiting in such stuffiness, he again pointed to the cafe and said that water is paid (as they call it “extra”). By the way, this receptionist, later on, always did not answer the question directly, but referred to a single piece of paper hanging on a column next to the reception, on which the check-in time and the fact that you could not bring your own food and drinks into the hotel were written. But for some reason, on any issue, he referred to this piece of paper.
In general, water had to be bought nearby in a store for 1.5 lira. My husband and I walked like somnambulists, because it was simply impossible to sit in the hall because of the stuffiness. But walking around the city because of the sun and fatigue - too.
We decided to explore the territory of the hotel, which is: a small pool at the back of the hotel and a cafe-bar in front.
SWIMMING POOL.
The territory of the pool, steps to it, tiles, a grate for draining water, sun loungers, umbrellas - everything is gouged, dirty and in old smudges. The sunbeds are not arranged, the mats are lying around. All this is inconvenient and broken. Umbrellas are lying around in a small pile - when you approach, you can see that they are torn, disheveled and just as dirty in some kind of stains, and umbrella sticks are simply cemented into old buckets, as if this is not a hotel, but a rural courtyard. There are cigarette butts and other rubbish lying on the tile. It can be seen that the pool is not cleaned. The water in the pool is cloudy, looking closer, we noticed some kind of muddy flakes floating in it. The husband said that it could be a cleanser that has not yet dissolved. But as it turned out later, it was always turbidity in the water to a greater or lesser extent. The water in the pool is very cold.
That is VERY. The pool itself is shaded most of the day. Water not only does not warm up in the sun, but it is not heated either. That is just a dumbass. We deliberately touched the water in other hotels during the rest - everywhere it was heated.
There were no people at the pool on the day of arrival. And later there were 2-3 people with varying success.
The water in the shower near the pool is cold. And very.
By the way, once, the water in the pool was sooo muddy and garbage floated on top. We asked at the reception to clean the water, to which we received the answer: “So there was a strong wind, so it attacked from the trees. ” I said that the water is cloudy, the bottom is not visible. He replied that he would deal with it. Although this should not be dealt with after requests or in the middle of the day, but as in other hotels after 19:00, when the pool is closed for cleaning. In general, in the end, no one figured it out, and the water remained muddy and dirty.
The pool area for all our 14 days of stay was not cleaned even once.
(By the way, from the cafe-bar downstairs and from others in the neighborhood, the music did not stop until 3 am. And all night until the morning, vacationers walk along the promenade, often drunk, even steps are heard, not to mention their yells).
Briefly speaking. Having looked around, we returned to the hall, where we waited with the rest of the tortured for 4.5 hours. Exactly at 14:00 the check-in began. We were given room 307 (by the way, we had to look at another room 101, it was just a nightmare, do not settle in it) with a sea view and a double bed.
ROOM. AIR CONDITIONING. CLEANING
Furniture, air conditioning, repairs - everything is very old. The first thing that caught my eye was the floor covering with dark spots and streaks everywhere, as after a big “bukhalovka”. The upholstery on the chair is badly torn to the insides coming out. There are scratches and scuffs on the walls. The doors to the bathroom and the room are peeling off. The plastic windows are old, the locks of the handles are not working.
Condor is old and dirty. All condors are controlled centrally from the reception. But they give remote controls that you can adjust the temperature and power for yourself (we set it to +16 and the highest power). At the same time, the air conditioner blew barely and did not cool the room at all. We turned to the reception with this problem, some dude came, looked and said that everything was working fine. We contacted reception again. My husband sells air conditioners and he knows how “normal” it should be. The receptionist said that if that dude said that everything works, then everything works. That's it. And by the way, the hotel is stuffy everywhere (hall, elevator, corridors, rooms, dining room). So you don't dry out all day long. VERY hot and stuffy.
WATER in the sink drains with a delay. The faucet is leaking. There is no plug in the bathroom, it will not work to dial it.
Bed linen was changed once in 14 days. It was also not the first freshness.
BED LINEN: yellow streaks and stains. On the day of arrival, they raised the bedspread and pillows (which were not covered, by the way) and there was a bunch of hair, dirt, sand and some dry insect larvae. Pillows are thin padding polyester, terribly uncomfortable. There are no chairs in the room. There is a tattered armchair and an uncomfortable ottoman. The mattress of the bed is dented and collapses, you sleep - and roll into the middle. In the room you can only lie, there is nowhere to sit and nothing. There are switches and a socket at the head of the bed. They are located right at the level of the pillows. That is, you rest your head on them. And there was a bare wire sticking out.
There is no balcony in the rooms. And this is a big minus, not because you can’t sit there, but because of the reasons for heating the room - all rooms with sea views have a sunny side, the sun sets directly into the room, heating it up a lot and heating the outdoor unit of the conder.
The already dead Conder simply does not cope with its functions.
At 16:00 on the day of arrival, we were supposed to meet with our guide from TourTessa, Irina. By this time, we only managed to take a shower, my husband - to wash the filters of the air conditioner, since there was a century-old layer of moss and dust, and I - to cry a lot.
We decided to ask the guide to take us to another hotel where we stayed last year and were very pleased, also 3 * - Vella Hotel Icmeler 3 *. She said that it would be decided on Monday afternoon (and it was Friday), we asked how we would know if it was decided, she said that she would somehow give us the information. We asked how, she answered “I will find you”, then gave her phone number and said that she could be called free of charge from the reception, if anything.
On Monday, no one contacted us. We waited until Tuesday. It was already the 4th day of being in this horror (we have not yet talked about food and the beach, see below).
On Tuesday, we went to the reception and asked the phone to call the guide, the receptionist replied that it was "extra", that is, for a fee, $ 1 per minute. We replied that the guide said that we can call her for free. The receptionist said that she could not say so, and that it was paid. We began to understand, but the receptionist stood his ground. Having spat on this matter, we decided to wait for feedback from the guide. But the guide never called. On Wednesday we saw her in the lobby. We approached, asked how our question was, she said, “I’ll call you right now, I’ll find out, ” that is, all this time she did not deal with us. She didn’t manage to find out, she called us only in the late afternoon and said that there were only places in the Verde 4 * hotel in Icmeler (Vella and Verde are one network), the surcharge for the remaining 8 days was $ 280. Since we have already spent five days in Ocaktan, counting our funds and estimating the extra.
travel expenses from Icmeler to Marmaris + paid beach, we decided to stay in Ocaktan, turning a blind eye to all first impressions and shortcomings and hoping that there would be no more problems. But as it turned out, this was only the beginning.
DINING ROOM. NUTRITION.
BREAKFAST monotonous:
- boiled unwashed eggs (dirt was noticed on the shell),
- omelette - some kind of red-yellow watery burda,
- sometimes instead of an omelette they gave pieces of bread fried in an egg and, apparently, a large amount of butter,
- puffs with cheese (and often without cheese) in the form of triangles or tubes (taste: triangles more or less, tubes are just awful),
- inedible sausage (in 3 * hotels it is generally the same everywhere, but last year at the Vella Hotel Icmeler 3 * it was different, edible),
- cheese of 2 types: salted cheese type, and hard type of the cheapest, tasteless
- 3 types of olives (we did not eat)
- jam in small packages of 3 types (sugary)
- honey in the same packaging, edible
- tomatoes cucumbers
- corn and oatmeal
- bread (the cutting knife has not been sharpened for probably several years)
- pieces like biscuit pie tasteless
- milk in a jug with a broken spout
- diluted in water chemicals like yuppie or zuko, vending machine with tea and coffee - burda burda
You will dream about this breakfast in a couple of days, repelling any desire to go to it.
DINNER
People who write that they give something new every day must have rested there for 7 days. Because after 7 days everything starts to repeat itself.
The main dish, side dish and soup are provided by the chef. Moreover, he imposes as much as he sees fit. Less for women, a little more for men. Sometimes it all comes down to insanity.
There is only one MAIN DISH at dinner, there is no choice - either fried fish (mackerel, the cook himself said, the fish stinks very much), or cutlets (my husband did not eat, once they were lamb, respectively, they smelled, who does not eat lamb, that is there was nothing that day), or stew (more or less, there were 2 times in 14 days), or chicken (always dry, hard to chew, many malnourished), or chicken burgers.
That is, those who do not eat one or the other according to their culinary preferences will be left without a main course.
There are only 2 garnishes to choose from - french fries (we met this for the first time - very overcooked and overdried and all in oil, without salt, it is impossible to eat), overcooked pasta, overcooked their manti are small, boiled potatoes without salt and spices, sour overstewed leguminous beans allegedly in tomato sauce, stewed peas with corn, some kind of sour bulgur too, 2 times in 14 days they gave normal rice, 1 time mashed potatoes.
All side dishes were somehow tasteless.
Soup is a different story: some kind of soup-puree, obviously made from yesterday's uneaten dishes.
SALADS - the same story. Yesterday they didn’t eat something - today salads are made from this. All salads are super cold. There are unpleasant. And all with a specific flavor.
They also gave us tomatoes, cucumbers, leaf lettuce, cucumber/tomato/onion salad.
DESSERTS - always: some snotty jelly and cakes soaked in sugar and butter.
2 times in 14 days, in addition, they gave delicious chocolate cakes with whipped cream, cream and biscuit.
FRUITS: watermelon was given several times, grapes were given several times, and there were always plums, dryish and not very ripe.
DINING ROOM
Therefore, in the morning no one sits there, everyone goes into the shade. And the shadow is formed in zone 1 only on a few tables - the rest remain there in the sun.
It turns out that in the morning in zone 1 there are only 6 tables where you can sit normally and not sweat. And everyone wants to take them. In zone 1, the tables are very uncomfortable, they are low, and the chairs are high, you sit hunched over, plus they stagger because of the uneven floor and beaten tiles on it.
So, about zone 2 - dinner is coming and everyone wants to go there - to look at Marmaris in the evening and dine in the cool. If you come to the beginning of dinner at 19:30 - be sure that all the tables there are already occupied. You will have to sit in a stuffy closed area 1.
We decided one day to come to dinner a little early at 19:15 - we saw this picture: the entire zone 2 was already occupied - people were already sitting there and waiting for dinner. And on some tables there were just keys and bags - like busy.
(Then, by the way, they forbade taking seats, you had to sit down yourself and wait for 19:30). The next day we came at 19:00 and were already sitting there too. But there were a couple of places, and we took them. The next time we just came to 21:00 - at this time there is almost no one.
All tablecloths on all tables in the dining room are wrinkled, dirty and stained. The staff doesn't seem to clean them. The whole cleaning takes place in this way: the crumbs are brushed off either on the floor or in the hand, then they take a narrow tablecloth and shake it off, turn it over to the other side and put it again. Beauty, in a word.
Canteen and hotel staff
The DINING ROOM employs 5 people: 2 cooks, 2 waiters (they are each other's cousins, as we found out) and an administrator. They hardly notice Russians, unless they are some young girls looking for adventure or ladies of Balzac age who are ready for anything.
But the attitude towards foreigners and Turks is special.
There was only 1 Englishman there, an elderly couple who somehow ended up in this hotel in some incomprehensible way. So in front of them, almost five of them all danced and bowed. There are a lot of Turks in the hotel and with children. They are allowed in the hotel. Well, as the guide told us - "these are not just Turks, these are the guests of the owner of the hotel", but we, probably, have never been hotel guests. Turkish children are very ill-mannered, running around at breakneck speed and behaving as they want, we were horrified.
There are no complaints about the waiters. But the manager there is a very unpleasant person. Short, chubby, with a sagging belly, short arms and legs, always dissatisfied, but very important face and look walks around the dining room throughout breakfast and dinner. What his job is is unknown. But sometimes he brushes the crumbs on the floor and clears away the plates.
One time, the husband did not eat cereal with milk for breakfast, leaving them untouched on the table.
At the exit from the dining room, he caught up with us and very impolitely began to resent in broken English that, they say, what you didn’t eat, you need to take less, otherwise “problems-problems”. We explained that we just ate and could not eat, to which he said that we should not do this anymore, otherwise there would be “problems”. We felt like we were in a pioneer camp.
Another time we came to dinner early and took a place like everyone else in zone 2. We came to dinner not at 19:30, but at 19:45, we were late, so he expressed such morality to us and was so impolite that we were just taken aback, said that you need to come exactly at dinner if you take places, although the tables for the Turks were reserved (put a sign) in advance and they came when they wanted.
It was not allowed to take anything from the dining room to the room, because, as they said, "insects can start. " Well, the fact that we found rubbish and those same insects in our bed on the day of arrival is, of course, not important to anyone.
That is, the hotel is located in the most terrible area of the promenade.
And proximity to the sea does not save this situation.
BEACH
You will not find beautiful sandy beaches in Marmaris. The beaches of Marmaris are usually mountainous small-cut pebbles of an unsightly gray color - neither sand, nor mud, nor stones. If you see beaches with sand, then this beach belongs to a 5 * hotel or is it a paid beach, there are only a couple of them.
The beach at the Ocaktan hotel, as it were, is free.
The beach is not cleaned, gobies, glass fragments, garbage - everywhere.
Sunbeds - very old, broken-down.
Mats are old, dirty, not washed.
Umbrellas - old, torn ALL. We specifically compared umbrellas with all the beaches of the promenade area - there are no such umbrellas anywhere! If you walk and see torn umbrellas, this is the beach of the Ocaktan hotel.
So about the free beach. On the 8th day of our stay, my husband and I are lying on sunbeds, my husband drank the water he took with him and put it in a bag.
A man comes up from the cafe Ocaktan, located at the bottom of the hotel and impolitely and rudely, points on his fingers (not even in English) for the husband to get a bottle. The husband takes out a bottle, and he begins to pull it sharply towards him, tearing it out of his hands. The husband was taken aback by such impudence and pulled her to him. He finally squeezed out a couple of English words with the same rude look, such as “forbidden”, “not allowed”, “problems”, that you need to buy water in their bar, but you can’t bring your own. We removed the water and went to the reception to sort it out. At the reception, we asked if the beach belongs to the hotel, the answer is yes, does the bar belong to the hotel - the answer is “we are together”, is it possible to drink water on the beach - “yes, if this water is bought at the bar”. We asked for a paper where it was written about this, since upon arrival the guide warned us about the ban on bringing drinks and food into the hotel, but not to the beach. To which the receptionist, as usual, pointed to a piece of paper hanging nearby on a column.
On this piece of paper, the time of check-in and check-out is written, and it is also written that food and drinks purchased outside its territory cannot be brought into the hotel, in Russian and English. I once again read this piece of paper, did not find anything about the beach there and asked again. To which I again received an indication of a finger on a piece of paper. So it was 3 times. With all this, a bunch of tired people were present, who, like us a few days ago, were waiting for their resettlement. After pointing to the piece of paper for the 3rd time, I could not stand it and loudly, in front of everyone, began to read this piece of paper aloud, in English. After reading it, I asked - where is there even a word about this fucking beach? To which the receptionist told me that I was behaving incorrectly and that he would now collect our coins and evict us from the hotel.
To which I continued to demand a paper describing the rules of the hotel and saying that it’s enough to make fools out of us, pointing to a piece of paper in which nothing of the kind is written. Two girls visiting this hotel that day came up and said that even before this situation they saw, they already understood that they had made a mistake with the hotel, asked a little about what and how.
The receptionist answered my demands in the same way that he would evict us from the hotel and had already called our guide, saying that a guide would come and that we would deal with him. Irina arrived in ten minutes, asked what was the matter, we told. It turned out that she herself did not know about the ban on bringing water to the beach. The receptionist stood in a pose and said that he would “forgive” us if we apologized to him, and if not, he would evict us. By the way, another question is why some receptionist has the right to resolve such issues?
But in the same hotel, all the brothers are brothers, powers are not divided and I won’t be surprised if even the cleaning lady has the right to decide something. Of course, we didn’t apologize, because it’s not clear why, a man from the bar was rude to us, snatching a bottle, he didn’t explain anything (if he politely explained to us, that’s another matter), the receptionist kept us for fools to the last, and we also joined before them should. The guide and the receptionist went to that guy from the bar, he lied to them, saying that he allegedly warned us 3 times that you can’t drink your own water, and we took such impudent ones and drank in plain sight.
We said that if so, we are ready to apologize only after this chela's apology. But he did not agree and continued to grind nonsense. And the receptionist demanded our apologies, to the question of the guide that where such a rule is really written, he replied that the hotel could not prescribe all the rules.
The guide said that he would really evict us now, and she, as a representative of the TURTESS company, could not help us in any way. We said that we would be happy to move out of this chaos to any other hotel at no extra charge, to which she replied that there were no places anywhere for such money, and that didn’t we know that this was the cheapest hotel in Marmaris? We didn't know, of course. But seeing what kind of hotels and apartments there are in Marmaris - very far from the sea and the view is not very good, then they are hardly more expensive. Just the guide clearly did not want to bother. We asked what should we do? We have nothing to apologize for, why are we now living on the promenade for 5 days? She laughed and said, of course not, but in general she does not know what to do. And this kind of situation is not in the area of responsibility of TURTESS. In general, TURTESS does not solve any issues related to the hotel.
To my question, what is the area of responsibility of the TURTESS company, she could not answer anything intelligible and kept saying something like “comfortable rest” and hushed up this topic altogether.
Then she stepped aside to talk to the receptionist for a couple of minutes, after which she went out and said “The hotel made concessions and compromise - no one apologizes to anyone, you stay at the hotel, but now you know the rules. ” We thanked her, although if we were simpletons, she would not have helped us in any way. As a result, the situation with the beach reached insanity - we went from the beach to the promenade taking one step - and drank water, then returned. A couple of times they saw how they take water from other Russian tourists, who were also indignant. Of course, not everyone was seen.
In general, the beach is not free, but for a drink.
There are many such beaches, only there is a clean area, comfortable clean sunbeds with mats and normal umbrellas, some also have Wi-Fi, and some also have brought sand on the beach. And then dirt, junk, bulls, and even buy a drink. By the way, in this bar, the staff is the same as in the hotel itself - rude and uncouth.
TOTALLY: Do not visit this hotel under any circumstances. This hotel has an atmosphere of filth, disrespect for customers and discomfort. Everything - from the reception and the beach, ending with food and cleaning - everything is bad. The hotel does not pull on 3 *. It's not even 2*. We went to 2 *, it was even a little better there. Think a hundred times before you go! You save on your own nerves and comfort. There will be problems every day. And every day you will count the money spent.
Better go to 4 or 5 *, there are excellent hotels in Marmaris, we were there and saw with our own eyes what kind of staff works there and how everything works there (Vella Hotel Icmeler, Verde, Poseidon, Grand Azur, Grand Pasha, Blue Bay, Ideal Prime Beach, Golden Rock, Elegance, etc. ). If you take 3 * stars, go to Vella Hotel Icmeler - a 3 * hotel, but of a very high level, these are the best 3 * in all of Icmeler and Marmaris.
We were very happy to leave this hotel and finally sleep on a good bed, pillows and eat normal food and never see those terrible faces again. In other hotels, people are really different, you even look at the face - and you can immediately see that they are normal people, everywhere polite, intelligent. The people from the Ocaktan hotel are just defaming their nation! After all the ordeals, believe me, the view of the sea and proximity to it will no longer please you!
Separate questions to the TURTESS company, we are cooperating with it for the second time, but we will not do it again.
We went the next day, her brother worked as a guide on the bus, who bred all the tourists to buy (from which he received a percentage) in dubious tourist places at the most expensive prices, assuring that these were the cheapest. It was very unpleasant that tourists were taken for fools. In general, Natalia is very unfriendly and works without investing her soul. This time, the guide Irina confirms our unfavorable impression of the company, not solving our resettlement issue for several days, so that we ourselves had to catch her and insist, remind, etc. , in addition, she gave incomplete information about the rules hotel, in connection with which that conflict situation arose. Last time we did not write a review about the TURTESS company, but when faced with this time, we can no longer remain silent.
Also some questions regarding charter flights.
If everyone is well aware of the international rules about arrival times, why are the flights so early at 4 am? And people have to wait 5 hours at the hotel for check-in, thereby losing their rest time and the money paid for it too. Regular flights are understandable, but charters! ! ! To the questions of many tourists on the first day of arrival, why such a mess is happening, the guide Irina replied that this is not a question for TURTESS, but for airports and hotels. But we, as clients, book a ticket from a tour operator, and not from an airport or a hotel, we would simply like to know where to turn with questions about this. Because, from all the words of the guides, it is not clear what is within the competence of the TURTESS company.
Tour operator TURTESS, flew by Donbass Aero.
OBJECTIVE FEEDBACK from unpretentious customers.
About dirty uncleaned rooms, non-working air conditioners, a stuffy hotel, about a supposedly free dirty beach with broken sunbeds and torn umbrellas, poor food, a dirty pool, impolite staff and unwritten rules.

Just want to say "thank you" to everyone who left previous reviews. It helped a lot to properly tune in and organize the rest. We rested together with my husband, the first time at 3 and the first time on half board. Before that, we only went to 5 and all inclusive. As they wrote before me, they were not hungry.

We rested together with my husband, the first time at 3 and the first time on half board. Before that, we only went to 5 and all inclusive. As they wrote before me, they were not hungry. The food is simple, but everything is tasty, fresh, in sufficient quantity. The result of the rest is the absence of acquired excess weight and a lot of impressions from numerous excursions. The hotel itself seemed very nice, among the staff - order and discipline. noticed that compared to other hotels on the line, there was the most order here: the promenade was washed before sunrise, sun loungers were also placed on the beach, and not when it was already full of people. Everything is very compact, but very well thought out and conveniently located. Night music was a little annoying - but we were warned and, in general, we got used to it. Very pleased with the excursions. They took right around the corner of the hotel "for the USSR" from Arsen. Ephesus - Pamukkale (2 days) - 80 c. u. e. (our operator had 165, but in the end everyone rode in the same bus) and the sea Aegean Islands - 30 c. u. e. liked everything. We bought both excursions at once - and Arsen gave us as a gift for 30 USD. e. per person boat trip "Turkish Night". well, there are no shows and food, but the trip itself along the night sea, the views of night Marmaris, Icmeler, everything is lit up. . . It was great!!!! !

the hotel was very disappointing at first sight - old renovation, shabby corridors, faded pictures on the walls, somehow it's all dull. They gave us a tiny number, we 2 were barely accommodated there, although it was designed for 3, but we did not change it. They gave remotes from the TV and air conditioning to the reception, the remote from the TV did not work, the air conditioner worked according to a mysterious scheme, the batteries in its remote were bitten, the boy from the reception changed the remote and everything was ok.

They gave remotes from the TV and air conditioning to the reception, the remote from the TV did not work, the air conditioner worked according to a mysterious scheme, the batteries in its remote were bitten, the boy from the reception changed the remote and everything was ok. The main disadvantages of the hotel are the old renovation, the lack of balconies and dryers for swimsuits and the lack of an awning in the restaurant on the roof - it is very hot to have breakfast there. But the hotel has a good reputation in Marmaris, this is one of the first hotels, its owner (he has already died) is still remembered and loved in the city. For little money, the hotel has significant advantages, which significantly soften the disadvantages: close location to the center (15 minutes on foot and you do not spend money on a taxi), its own beach under the hotel with free sunbeds and umbrellas (there were always places), a panoramic restaurant on the roof (the only a hotel in Marmaris with such a restaurant), good service - the cleaning of the rooms is good, the waiters are wonderful, the reception is also close, there is a Magna market and an exchanger with a good exchange rate, as well as McDonald's for lovers and a street with shops, where prices for souvenirs, etc. are 2 -4 times lower than in the center. I would not go there again, but overall the stay was good and not overshadowed by any adventures in the hotel.

Hello everyone who reads!
I want to share my emotions about the rest. I liked the hotel very much: clean, comfortable, conveniently located, the staff is good, the food is normal.
The rooms are the best with sea views in the central part of the hotel, if there are no places, ask in the right wing (there is not so noisy at night). The staff is friendly. But we all need to remember mutual respect, both for people - and they for you. We treated all employees with respect and there were no problems with requests. We saw cases when people extorted something, and everything was solved much longer. So decide for yourself))
The food is normal, if you are not obsessed with it)) Breakfasts are light and monotonous, but purely traditional: Turkish))) so you turn into Turkish people slowly))
Dinner is good, varied, hearty, there is plenty to choose from. The cooks are attentive, the waiters are kind, helpful, interesting guys.
The beach is nearby, its own, close to the center. In general - you can and should go.
In the city: it's just a paradise))
Wonderful air, wonderful climate, heat is easily tolerated, beauty around, clean, varied))
Many cafes, pleasure yachts, boats. Be sure to go to Bar Street. Many different discos, everyone will find something for themselves))
Residents mostly speak English, they met few Russian speakers. Friendly, help, suggest if something is needed. The main thing is respect)
On excursions: it makes no sense to take it at the hotel, it's expensive. We took it in the city, not far from the hotel in "Tima-tour". There is a Russian-speaking boy Dima. Everything is well organized, on time and makes discounts.
I advise a 2-day excursion "Efes-Pamukkale" - beauty, majesty, impressions and excellent emotions are provided. It is easily transferred. The buses are good, comfortable.
It's also fun to ride a Quad Safari, and visit a Turkish bath. Well, a boat trip - there's no way without it in the sea))))
I didn’t want to fly away terribly. After returning for several days, a shock from Kyiv... In general, I will return there again.
Good luck to everyone and have a great holiday! !

The restaurant-dining room is located on the roof overlooking the sea. Rooms Readable, cozy. Wi-Fi pulls in the room, if it is above the reception. on the beach there is also Wi-Fi only another hotel. the beach is good (soft sunbeds, umbrellas), cleaned 2 times a day, but for me this cleaning was funny because of the very slowness or slowness of the Turk : ). in a word - a little lazy. The sea is warm, because the bay is beautiful, but salty compared to the Black. the town has a magnificent castle, where Sultan Kanuni Suleiman and his wife Roxolana live! guides do not tell about this palace, because it is not profitable for them, because the entrance.
The ticket costs 3 lira, not 50 dollars: ) Russian-speaking people are given a booklet with a short description of the castle, although the description is not very translated, but you can walk around the palace of Godoinka for two and have a lot of fun. Ephesus is also not as far away as other resorts. You can also ride a bike to another island, which is * connected by an artificial bulkhead with the mainland. You can meet, for example, a turtle and breathe extraordinary and cold air from the local forests, even in the heat. Not advising the girls themselves to go, because the Turks are very attached to the Slavs. Lunch is really not expensive, if not in beach cafes.

If you eat a little bit of everything, then lunch can be completely replaced with fruits and a snack in local eateries (this is if kebab pide is cheaper around 7 lira (20r) per dish) there are a lot of excellent cafes a little more expensive nearby. In general, the hotel is super budget but calm sunbeds full of sea near the staff helpful. Marmaris itself liked more than Kemer 80% of vacationers foreigners are not obtrusive as in Kemer. Promenant along the sea 13 km there is where to walk. at a cheap price, it’s quite possible to eat if you don’t bother sitting in the room and eating. Good budget 3 * on the sea.

The hotel is excellent, and the rating is 4 - for some points that are not so important together - but you have to be objective. Much has already been written before me, I join everything good... I add nuances. The hotel does not have shampoos and soaps - only liquid for hands. The electricity system in the room is energy efficient.

I add nuances. The hotel does not have shampoos and soaps - only liquid for hands. The electricity system in the room is energy efficient. therefore, we must remember: while you are not in the room, the refrigerator does not work and the phone does not charge. There are air conditioners in every room, but some have to turn them on through a call to the reception : ))) I called at any time of the day - everything is OK, but at first I was surprised : ))
For a good room, a bribe of $10 is expected, and some are bred for $10 per person. In general, this is one - "Russian-speaking", balding such - also cunning. The rest seemed much more sincere and simpler. In the evening, they do not obsessively offer drinks - once they ask for a rest and calm down... we must pay tribute - only their compatriots do not order them... super sweets! food is good. Salads got sour a couple of times... but you just don’t eat them, you can express your “FE” - they will understand. you don’t need to rake a lot - it’s better to go and get it later. And then I saw how on the first day the girls scored 2 cups of coffee at breakfast (as a result, 4 on the table%) - you can go to get as much as you like. You can come a second time : ))) silently endure : )
The staff teaches "bon appetit" in different languages - touching.
Yes, about harassment - on the street they call out single women and pester them to get acquainted mercilessly - you strictly reject older foreigners, ignore arrogant Turks (you walk silently past) or smile at cute Turks and also walk past - without remorse... and everything is OK.
You need basic knowledge of English - the staff does not understand Russian. And the cleaners only understand gestures : )
You can get stuck in the elevator, especially at night and early in the morning - then call from the phone to the same reception : )
Rooms should be taken from the left side of the hotel, the lower - the quieter. And if you want a sea view, you get the nightlife.
The sea is good. you can carry a little bit of bread and feed the fish in the morning. As the beach caretaker told me - from 15.07 to 15.08 - the hottest days, and everyone sleeps during the day - it's impossible to walk... +50.
Go to the fortress of Marmaris - you will find the entrance in the back streets - 3 lira and fresh impressions : )) I am addicted to olive soap - handmade and branded - but you have to bargain. Lokum by weight in a supermarket is 5 times cheaper than lokum by weight in a store, the taste is the same, but in boxes - a miserable likeness. I also recommend figs in nuts in the supermarket - such balls, and sweet cucumbers - we call them. Beer is normal, nothing. And the cocktail in the restaurant in the center seemed rather weak - i. e. "diluted" : )))
From the statue of Ataturk on the left side of the road - Waikiki store (in front of the supermarket), across the road - Garage store - good Turkish clothes. Opposite the palm alley - not reaching Atatü rk - Nokk's shoe store.
Big supermarket Tansas - the cheapest. Try there sweets by weight. I brought water to the hotel, 5 liters each...
Restaurants on the embankment near the fortress are more expensive. but the view from the terraces at night is superb! I drank Turkish coffee in a bar in the wall of the fortress - I recommend it.
Shops and festivities - until 12.00. Night entertainment - discos - from 12.00 : )) Turtesse offers free night excursions on a boat - but the guide does not always mention this - we had a very cunning, to an unpleasant "working" girl, breeding tourists on excursions. Survey free - forced shopping. You can also visit it at the end of the tour. knowing the situation with prices and assortment.
On Thursdays and Sundays - a food market behind the big Tansas in the yards - you can heat up good vegetables and fruits.
You have to trade everywhere! it is desirable to know English in Marmaris.
I recommend this hotel and this city: )))
Yes, Internet in the lobby! free I think. . .

2. Food - average. As for 3 * it's pretty decent. Every day the main dishes - fish or meat are a must. Everything else is as usual. ALWAYS fruit! (watermelon, plums, cherries, melons)! They make a very tasty fresh, but for an additional fee. In general, it’s normal. Food is also suitable for children!
3. Beach - 7 steps (I thought) from the hotel !! ! Sun loungers, mattresses, umbrellas - for free! The beach is small, but comfortable! There is a Beach boy who brings drinks and food. Small pebbles. The sea is clean) Palm trees are small on the beach. In general, the beach is great!
CONS: noisy! Around the hotel cafes, bars! midnight music! Few people are lucky with a room where it was not noisy! And all sea view rooms are "NOISY"! : ( But this is normal for Marmaris, especially since the hotel is almost in the center. Who needs silence in Marmaris, then you need to go to the village of Ichmeler! (outskirts of Marmaris)!

She was in Turkey for the first time. Marmaris chose according to acquaintances. The hotel is close to the sea and affordable.
I immediately decided that the main thing for me was to swim by the sea and lie down in the sun. The place for this turned out to be what you need! !!
The hotel - as for 3 * - is suitable. Unlike most hotels on the first line - the restaurant was quiet at night. Although for the most part all the cabaret by the sea try to attract guests with a variety of loud music.
Take a tip if you like the service. And the Turks are doing everything to make you OK. Smile, for example.
you can go to the beach in Icmeler - Marmaris area, 10-15 minutes by orange route on the road behind the hotel. I liked the beach and the water there more.
About excursions, etc . : go to the hammam (Turkish bath), but do not buy this service at the hotel - save $ 20. Most tourist offices on the street have this service and they speak English or Russian.
So there will be no problems. Since my priority was swimming and felting, I only went on a field trip. Dalyan: 2 years. on a yacht - you can lie on the upper deck, swimming on the high seas, then - on boots = on the river to the Lycian tombs, then - swimming in the sea, see if you're lucky with big turtles, eat crabs, fall in the healing mud.
Don't worry if the tour doesn't have everything you were promised when you sold the trip. That was the case with me. Or worry. I did not have such a desire. By the way, I took a tour of the so-called Gosha and Pasha - turlarok behind the hotel Octant. The guys work fun and with humor. And the Turk who blah blah blah on the yacht at the end thanked everyone who was and said a big SORRI for what was not. Oh yeah))
Another conclusion is that it is worth bargaining. Not in the supermarket near the checkout, of course. But in other cases, even if you do not understand the language - the numbers will help))).
I don't think it's worth it to be impudent, but to have fun, improve your communication skills and save up to 70 (or more) percent of the starting price is real.
A few more words about the airport - they took away my folding knife, manicure set and sankrem when I came back. That's right - it's normal there, and the Turks said that it was impossible to hand in luggage and took it away. Sorry. Because it seems that I did not understand something from their conversation. It is better not to take such speeches with you, or be prepared for it.
Bring a minimum of speech and humor. Have a good rest)!
Oh yeah))
