We arrived in the evening, filled out the documents at the reception, paid the tourist tax, then immediately went to dinner. First we were given a room with one bed, immediately went to the reception, explained the situation, and we were immediately changed to another. Room with a balcony overlooking other buildings. There was a TV, air conditioning, beds, bedside tables, wardrobe, table. The bathroom had a hair dryer, soap, shower gels. Perhaps the furniture is not quite new, but everything looked decent, was in working order. But the refrigerator was missing.
We had breakfasts and dinners. For a 3 * food was excellent: there was always meat or fish, seafood, vegetables, potatoes, pizza, soups, fruits, sweets, ice cream and much more. For breakfast there were muesli, various sausages and cheeses, several types of milk, jam, pancakes.
Juices, coffee and tea were free for breakfast. At lunch and dinner, all drinks are paid. Offers a menu that offers drinks from regular juices to hard alcohol.
Wi-fi in the hotel is paid, but it catches in the room. You can also pay for the safe.
Every day in the bar entertainment program: live music, dances, shows.
The upper floors have sun loungers, a swimming pool and a coffee bar.
There are many cafes, bars and restaurants near the hotel. Nearby is the main street, which is full of shops, pharmacies and cafes. There is a church next to the hotel, the bells ring many times a day, but this did not interfere with rest.
There is a Spar store in 10-15 minutes, and a Carrefour market in 5 minutes. In them you can buy drinks, fruits, vegetables - any products at reasonable prices.
To the sea about 10 minutes on foot, the beach is clean, sandy, the entrance to the sea is good. There are toilets and a cafe on the beach. Near the railway station, but there was no noise from it, it did not interfere with rest.
The staff at the reception are friendly and accommodating. They mostly speak Spanish and English, but there is a young man who knows Russian.
You can come to the hotel with pets (there were definitely tourists with dogs).

We stayed at the Merc hotel? (in Pineda de Mar, Spain) for one week in July 2017. We stayed at the Merc hotel? (in Pineda de Mar, Spain) for one week in July 2017. The first night we were placed in a room on the 2nd floor with no windows, no balcony (so we didn't have a chance to dry our swimsuits and beach towels). The room had very, very old furniture, everything was worn out and there was terrible mold on the bathroom walls. I asked to change the room because prior to this trip when searching for information about the hotel on the internet, the hotel looked acceptable in the photos, so my wife and I were shocked! It should be noted that other people in our group were also shocked by the rooms they were placed in. We all paid a lot of money and paid for a quiet and pleasant holiday in Spain, but returned from Spain really very disappointed! The next day in the afternoon we were able to get into another room, which was also located on the 2nd floor, but in a completely opposite wing of the hotel. In this wing, the rooms were in slightly better condition, we also had a balcony, but please note that these rooms do not match the photos published by the hotel on their websites. In this room we also had mold on the walls, furniture and TV from the last century. We have traveled to so many countries and never expected luxury anywhere (especially in 2 or 3 star hotels), but living in a dark room with no windows or a room with terrible mold is in no way associated with a pleasant stay. The Russian speaking receptionist was very, very impolite, the English speaking girls were much more helpful. The food was homogeneous, repeated every day. Often sour watermelons and melons left over from the previous day's dinner were served at dinner. The food was very, very salty! Bed linen was not changed more than once a week, but towels were changed every day. It should be noted that after cleaning the room, some personal items disappeared - a razor and one toothbrush. It's a little thing, but still annoying. At least we were glad that we never left our passports and money in the room (we always carried them in a small bag with us). The sea is not far from the hotel (10 minutes walk). There are very big waves in the sea, but we liked it! The many nudists on the public beach didn't bother us, but if you're traveling with kids I recommend you take that into account. On the top floor of the hotel there is a swimming pool, but very small. It was very difficult to fall asleep even with the window closed at night because the refrigeration compressor was very loud and every night until 1:00 a DJ played very, very loud music in the hotel bar. In general, we liked the sea, but the hotel should only be rated with 1 star! We do not recommend anyone to choose this hotel! The hotel staff is not at all interested in helping their customers. We certainly will not return to Spain, the impression of the Spaniards was, unfortunately, the worst!
