After reading a lot of good reviews on the Internet, my husband and I decided to visit this paradise called Goa, settling in one of the most beautiful hotels in the south of the state, in "Leela Goa".
It is located in the town of Cavelossim, in the Mobor district. The 5 * hotel fully corresponds to each of its stars.

We arrived at the hotel at dawn, before the appointed time. Despite the early hours, we were still greeted with flower beads and strawberry coconuts. We were very tired and worried that they would not be able to check us in before noon. But our worries were dispelled when the kind-eyed guy from the reception said that he had found a ready-made room for us in the second lagoon, which we so wanted, and we could be accommodated in our room within half an hour.
In the room we were waiting for a bottle of champagne, a delicious chocolate dessert and a greeting card on the occasion of our honeymoon. After examining the room, I was pleasantly surprised to see that not only bathrobes and slippers were available, but also shaving kits, teeth cleaning kits, bath salts, moisturizing lotions, a hairdryer, an iron with an ironing board, a kettle with cups and even an umbrella. Our room (262) had a wonderful view of the lagoon.
We were very lucky, we arrived at the very beginning of the beach season. The climate is hot and humid. Room service worked around the clock, so if you don't want to be disturbed every time you return to your room to rest, don't forget to turn on the "do not disturb" button, otherwise you will be tormented every time you run to the door. We were very disappointed that it got dark early. Being not larks at all, we barely woke up for dinner, and without having time to lie down under the sun for a while, the sun began to go down very quickly, starting at 15:00. In the reviews, we read a lot about the variety of dishes at breakfast. Honestly, in my opinion, if there weren’t those pancakes and omelettes, there was nothing else to eat there. For lunch and dinner, we enjoyed going to a local restaurant ? la carte or went outside the hotel to the most touted restaurants in Cavelossim. Among them are Fisherman's Wharf, Mike's Place, Betty's Place, Jazz inn and Pearl's. The biggest pleasure we got from the place Mike's Place. Nice warm atmosphere, live music, friendly staff, delicious food. A similar aura reigns in Fischermans. Very good selection of food and prices.
With great pleasure every day we ran to the beach. Unlike Turkish resorts, there are always free sunbeds and umbrellas! What about the pool, what about the sea. My husband never skimped on tips, and the hotel staff was always especially polite with us. A sign posted on the beach informed us that before entering the sea, it is necessary to check the color of the flag posted on the beach in the morning. Depending on its color (green, orange or red), you will know whether or not you can swim in the sea today. For the entire holiday (and this is 2 weeks + the season has already begun), we did not see either a green or an orange flag on the beach. A red flag was always hung, forbidding navigation in the sea. Under such circumstances, everyone referred to the first paragraph in the tablet, which said that swimming in the sea and pool is entirely under your responsibility (is at your own risk), and calmly climbed into the water.
After reading reviews of robberies and theft of large sums of money and jewelry directly from the rooms, we took all the necessary precautions. Namely, we did not take any of the expensive jewelry with us, took the minimum amount of cash, distributed the principal amount equally among bank cards and DID IT RIGHT! At the end of a two-week holiday, having examined all our belongings, we were very glad that nothing was missing. Here I would like to make a few remarks. Somehow looking through the trash in our room, among all the hotel books and cards, I came across the following inscription that the hotel does not bear any responsibility for things missing from the ROOM. This made me very angry. This exemption doesn't really fit a five-star hotel, so be careful.
We were happy to go on excursions offered by the hotel in Goa. A tour of northern Goa (such a short acquaintance with the north was completely enough for us), as well as a trip to the waterfalls and an elephant ride. The trip to the falls was very tiring but worth it. Please note that you need to leave early in the morning in order to have time to queue for jeeps, since the road is quite extreme and you can’t get to the waterfalls in a regular car. And the number of jeeps, as you understand, is limited.
Before the flight, we did not have any vaccinations. We collected a standard first-aid kit with us, took out insurance and drove off. I regret not taking mosquito repellant with me. By the way, in every hotel room there was a mosquito repellent powered by a power outlet. But this remedy was more needed at dinners on stuffy evenings in the open air. Regarding Leela Goa, I would like to add that a huge number of crows flying around the hotel created a little discomfort.
We arrived during the local religious holiday of Diwali. And whether for this reason, or for another, on Saturdays of our two-week stay there, we visited the beach barbecue at the hotel. We enjoyed both evenings a lot - live music, an African acrobat show, an endless amount of lobsters, shrimp and squid, super desserts and many other different goodies. In general, the impressions are very positive. We were advised next time to come here for Christmas or Easter. Especially Christmas. They say that the celebration is very fun and bright. We accepted the offer and would happily return again.

Real vip hotel. Excellent thoughtful green huge territory. Sunbeds from the hotel on the beach, which is rare for Goa. Palm trees on the beach like in the Dominican Republic (also a rarity in Goa). A river flows through the territory, it does not interfere, there are no mosquitoes. Good golf courses. The rooms are great, no complaints.

I recommend the hotel to those who want a relaxing holiday with excellent service and food. The Lagoon Suite category is simply above all praise: 84 m2 with excellent repair, 2 very comfortable bathrooms, 2 balconies overlooking the lake. . . 2 rooms with a massive (soundproof) door are ideal for parents and children to relax.

Meals need to take only breakfast. There are 2 cafes on the beach ("At Sam's" and "Pearl Beach") where you can eat for ridiculous money. Comparison Prices:
1) hotel - beer 0.33 l 160 rubles, dinner for four in an Italian restaurant (there were hungry and angry) 12.000 rubles.
2) beach bars - beer 0.65 l 50 rubles, dinner for four (each has healthy grilled fish, salads, soup, bottles of wine / person) - 3000-4000 rubles.
Therefore, it is better (and most importantly much tastier) to eat and drink on the beach. Food quality is excellent. Every day they ate seafood (shark, seabass, sea bass, stingray, crabs, lobsters....), all the freshest, the staff speaks Russian - in general, there are no problems. You can bargain for seafood - with a good order, they will reduce 20-30%.
Beware:
1. in the tourist village they sell all sorts of shit - from diamonds to souvenirs. Do not buy anything but souvenirs! I bought a sundress for my wife - it completely shed during the first wash... They offered a sapphire with a chicken egg for 6.000 rubles. - I think comments are unnecessary...
2. I have been to all sorts of hot countries, but here the sun is VERY insidious. Because of the cool wind from the ocean during the day, you don’t notice how you can burn very cool...
3. For children - on the surf line, some transparent insects, such as fleas, crawl out of the sand and bite. In general, they bite everywhere - a lot of flies, mosquitoes and small midges.

Leela is a chain of first-class hotels in India, some of which are Kempinski hotels. In Goa, this is the best hotel, we were convinced of this from our own experience. We flew from Kyiv in transit through Abu Dhabi. Arrived at 1.20 am local time. Of the entire plane, we were the only tourists who went to Lila.

For us, the hotel sent a personal transfer - a comfortable car. And we arrived at the hotel in complete comfort. We drove for 45-50 minutes. We were waited at the hotel from 14.00. They constantly called the guide of the meeting party, Ekaterina (a very good girl who knows her job, with whom it is insanely interesting to talk !!! ! I liked it very much! ), They were worried that they had lost their tourists. Which was very nice! Since we arrived at night, and the room was prepared during the day, we safely settled in and went to bed.
In the morning, since we overslept breakfast, we went to explore the area, which is very big!!!!! ! Here you can write for a long time, and a lot! The territory is very colorful, interesting, with small herons and goldfish in the river. All rooms overlook the water, have either a veranda-terrace or a sliding window system. We lived in new buildings, the Premier Conservatory, which were built in 2008. A lotus blossomed in front of our window, beautiful birds walked, snakes and frogs swam. In the morning they got up with the child and ran to see if the snake, which we called "ours", was visible. Everywhere there are bridges where you can admire the fish and even feed it. Only now, during the feeding of fish, a huge number of crows immediately flock !!! ! Yes, yes, there are also a large number of them, and it looks strange at first. And then you get used to them and do not pay attention to them. Although they are very arrogant creatures and during breakfast a couple of times flew up and pulled something off the table, not paying any attention to you! ! It is also interesting to watch the black ducks that also live there. There are golf courses on site. Lots of flowers and greenery, waterfalls, and naturally beautiful palm trees. Golf cars drive around the territory. Since the territory is large, you can call "bugs" from the room and they will take you where to tell if you don't want to go. Oh, it's convenient. Have used it a couple of times and love it.
Separately, you can write about the beach. Beautiful, clean, sun loungers under palm trees - beauty in one word. But the caretakers of the beach, for a separate income for themselves, take sunbeds, especially for the British, and when they come, they take them to them, pick up the magazine (there is a system of flags on the beach - red - do not disturb, blue - something is needed. Also sun loungers you can borrow by leaving some thing there - a cap, a book, a magazine, a cream, and put a red flag - it means busy), and they, in turn, give them money. They work like that. Seen this many times.
There are a lot of Russians in the hotel. Everywhere I read on the Internet that there are practically no Russians in this hotel. It is not true. There are a lot of them. But to great happiness - this is not the contingent of the Russian population, which is famous for debauchery around the world. Everyone is very cultured and calm.
We ate at the beach cafe "Pearl" - a two-level building with a white roof, which is located next to the hotel. They cook superbly there, you can order any size of crabs, lobsters and bargain for their cost. Russian menu, everything is clear, and almost 3 or even 4 times cheaper than in a hotel. Everything is always fresh! ! Were very satisfied! I recommend trying the shark fin soup there - it's something!!! ! We have tried almost everything there - NO complaints !!! ! SUPER!!!
Next to Lila is Cavelosim. This is a settlement where you can take a walk, buy souvenirs. You can get there by taxi, for 150 rupees directly from Lila. We went mainly to the SAGA shopping center. There is a Watson pharmacy near the SAGA shopping center, we often went there, or rather, we always went there. There you can buy everything from groceries to medicines, change money at a favorable rate! Worth to visit.
What else can I write... The rest was gorgeous. I recommend the hotel to everyone - this is a VIP vacation. The staff is very polite and smiling, there is a Russian girl Anna at the reception who will help in case of emergency. I was very pleased with the hotel, the rest, which is what I wish you all when visiting GOA and Leela!

They arrived in India on February 24.2010. They flew from Simferopol to Moscow, and from there to Delhi. Walked all over the country for a week!! ! Loved it! ! Land of contrasts! ! Everything was so interesting: starting with how the Indians drive)) their homeless people (they have them as a tourist attraction). And there are so many of them....and all because the people are lazy. They do not want to work, this way of life suits them more, their head hurts less, because they even have schools for children from the 1st grade - for a fee.
As for the sights - just without words, because such beauty. In any city, wherever we are, there is always some kind of palace! ! And each is so individual! There were: Delhi, Jhansi, Khajuraho, Gwalior, Agra, Jaipur, and then for a week in Goa (well, more on that later). So, of course, I note that the Taj Mahal impressed me the most !! ! It's just like walking into a fairy tale! White marble and all in semi-precious stones!! ! So much jewelry work that looking at the ostentatious version of the processing of marble and stones, my head is spinning! The tour was individual, they took the two of us, and I want to say that it is better to go to India like this ! ! This is not much different from the cost of general tours. Another such moment, we wanted to take another excursion to the Ganges River, and then decided that there was no need and so much. And in India they began to ask their guide, he told us that he was 26 years old (he is a Hindu) and he had not yet been and did not want to go there, because it is very dirty! And that a normal thinking Indian will not go there. Like this.
By the way, they give a guide for all the time of excursions, he traveled with us to all cities. Russian speaking guide. There were also movements on cars, trains and domestic flights, that is. on all transport what there is))))! ! We also visited such a wilderness, where they don’t know what a TV is, there is no light, but they cook on dung. We passed such terrain when we went to the Kamasutra Temple in Khajuraho. Very beautiful temples, there are several of them! ! In general, you can talk for a long time (probably because there is something to talk about). Now for Goa! The hotel is very nice, clean and tidy! As for the cleaning of the room - 5+! Well done! In the morning they bring apples to the room! In addition to cleaning and changing towels daily, they come at 5 or 6 o'clock to prepare the room for bed! Well done generally! The girl at the reception is Russian! I don’t remember, it seems Anya, dear! All polls to her! The beach is great! As for food, there are plenty of restaurants in the hotel. But even if you go to the beach, there are a bunch of restaurants along the beach, they look so-so, but they cook the same thing! And you are sitting right on the shore of the Arabian Sea - romance...... !! ! Plus, it's cheaper than a hotel. And not an unimportant moment - do not dress too much for dinner! I came in a T-shirt in shorts and everything is fine, I don’t know how anyone, but it depresses me if I need to dress up for dinner, otherwise they won’t let me in . . )))
In general, we highly recommend India!
If anyone has questions, ask! We will gladly answer!
Good luck!
