We lived with my mother in this small, cozy hotel from July 11 to July 19.2009. In room 211. General impressions of the hotel and staff were positive. Personally, I was very pleased with the choice of this hotel. The hotel is very conveniently located, close to bus stops, metro, shops, a food supermarket, and many different cafes.
The room had: one table, two chairs, two bedside tables, two narrow beds, one spacious wardrobe with two trempels, two mirrors (one in the room, the other in the bathroom), one TV set under the ceiling (all 6 channels in French), one telephone on the bedside table and a night light, a couple of euro-sockets (one near the table, the second behind the bedside table with a night lamp). I also liked the Japanese-style painting on the wall. The floor of the room is not carpeted, but with a good laminate (and we don’t breathe old dust, and it’s easier to clean it). There are two small batteries in the room (one in the room by the window, the other in the bathroom), in summer it doesn’t matter, but in winter it can be cold, I don’t know for sure.
We did not notice any bedbugs, cockroaches, and other insects in the hotel.
The bed was changed a couple of times in seven days. The room was cleaned every day, everything was clean. Nothing was missing. True, once we returned, and the door to our room was not locked after cleaning. But we didn’t bring valuables to Paris, and there was nothing to disappear there, we always carried documents with us. So we did not blame the open door.
The bathroom had a bathtub, a washbasin, a toilet, a couple of shelves for accessories, a hair dryer bolted to the wall, a mirror, an ashtray and rinsing cups. Plumbing, though not new, but everything worked perfectly. Towels came across a couple of times old (washed), but they were always clean, not full of holes and changed every day. Every day in the bathroom they left us: a couple of new pieces of soap, shampoo and new glasses; and they added a roll of toilet paper 4 times a week (which seemed ridiculous, how can two people overpower 6 rolls of paper in a week))))
There were always fresh flowers and sparkling mirrors in the hotel lobby, cleanliness. The dining area has 4 tables and a TV with a Russian news channel. A simple but very hearty breakfast (chocolate buns, croissants, bread, butter, processed cheese, sausage, apricot or strawberry jam, cereal with milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, hot chocolate to choose from). At breakfast we took cereal with milk and croissants with jam, washed down with hot chocolate or juice; my mother sometimes made herself coffee with milk; and we took buns, bread, sausage and cheese with us and ate them while walking around the city.
Among the shortcomings, I note that the elevator in the hotel is very small, if you entered it with your back, then inside with the doors closed you can no longer turn around to press the buttons, you had to enter it with your nose and exit with your back. Entering the bodice together is quite possible only if one person hides in a corner, and the second one buries his nose into the buttons and the mirror. Mom and I managed to get into the elevator with a suitcase and a backpack. Squeezed like herrings in a jar))
And there is no iron in the hotel, and the travel agency did not warn us about this, unfortunately. We were told that an iron would be given for a couple of euros, but there might not be a hair dryer. In short, in vain we pulled a hair dryer in a suitcase, we had to take a traveling iron. And a small minus - that there are no pillows, instead of them there are small rollers without pillowcases, wrapped in a sheet and taped to the mattress. Whoever loves tossing and turning in his sleep and sleeping hugging a pillow will understand me that it was not very convenient.
But all these are trifles that you do not pay much attention to, because the friendly staff and the city itself enchant.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to Jean-Christophe, this young handsome porter ordered us excursions with delivery from the hotel and back to the castles of the Loire Valley cheaper than the Russian-speaking guides offered, explained where to find a good supermarket nearby, suggested where it is better to watch the fireworks on the Independence Day of France , helped copy my photos from my camera to a USB flash drive, and also woke us up early in the morning when we asked. At any time of the day, his responsiveness, smile and willingness to help were boundless and genuine. And he never took a tip from me. In Russian, he understands only room numbers and “thank you”, “goodbye”. But he speaks excellent English and his native language. My broken English was enough for me to understand him. Kind, sweet, good, charming and helpful fellow Jean-Christophe, thank you for the good time spent in your hotel.
A huge minus not of the hotel, but of its mostly Russian-speaking visitors is the lack of elementary politeness and the inability to appreciate the work of others. How can you put out cigarettes on fresh flowers that grow on your balcony, is it really difficult to take an ashtray from the bathroom? People try, take care of beauty, cleanliness and comfort, and some rich creature who loves only himself comes and fouls everything. Much in this life depends on us and on our attitude to things. Let's take care of such a fragile world around us and see more positive.
Of course, you can find some faults in everything, and compared to the Georg V or the Ritz, such a tiny hotel as Jeff may seem like a shoddy eatery, but trust me, for the money this is one of the best hotels in Paris. I think Jeff deserves three plus stars.

Tell me, who flew to Paris from Arteks? How was the tour program selected and were there any overlaps with the program? How was the meeting at the airport and the return departure from the hotel not late? I want to take an air tour to Paris at the end of June. Thank you in advance.
