Now only old photographs lovingly hung in the lobby remind of the glorious industrial past of the stone walls of the hotel.
The rooms are bright and comfortable. The room has a safe (the key to the safe must be taken at the reception). Daily cleaning. The reception staff are very friendly, respond quickly to requests and speak a little Russian, but still English is a priority. Hearty breakfasts, I especially remember the brewed coffee and crispy buns : ). Slightly surprised in a four-star hotel empty refrigerator - mini-bar. A little later it turned out that the function of the mini-bar is performed by two refrigerators near the reception, where you can buy booze and drinks around the clock, while in the supermarket alcohol will not be sold to you after 10 pm. We liked this system - and there is a place where you can put your snack, and in which case there is an opportunity to "warm up" if you are cold, returning from a late walk; ). A slight discomfort was caused by the lack of Internet in the room (it was impossible to connect to Wi-Fi, the quality of the connection is very low), the Internet on the "public" computer near the reception also worked very slowly.
In general, they were satisfied with their stay at Ilmarine. I would like to express special gratitude to AirBaltic for the opportunity to book this hotel in a package with air travel, thanks to which we significantly saved on accommodation.

The rooms are simple but cozy, clean and comfortable. No frills. An excellent breakfast (this is not a Parisian roll + tea for you), there are cutlets, potatoes, various vegetables, porridge. Yes, I was also subdued by herring for breakfast!
The hotel also has a very tasty restaurant, with show-offs. At the same time, it is not deadly expensive, and really - wonderfully tasty.
This hotel is somehow very normal: it turned out something like 70 euros for a room with two people per day.
Yes, well, I can’t help but add - thanks to the manager Imago Travel (they are sitting on Begovaya) Zhenya - it really turned out to be a very successful trip. That is, I don’t know, maybe a successful tour is not her merit, but she was hyper-amiable and sweet)

Lunch: 2 appetizers, hot, soup, a glass of beer and a glass of "Jä germeister" cost us 750 crowns. Of course, two days is not enough, in order to see all the sights, we will definitely go again. And now I would like to take a closer look at the hotel. To be honest, I didn’t expect this, the Sputnik Hotel in Voronezh, where we stayed overnight in September on the way to Anapa, and even better, and in terms of the condition of the room and cleanliness, I may be wrong, but it seems to me that after leaving guests from the room, it is removed. Here, in my opinion, there was no wet cleaning, it’s good, at least the dust was brushed off, the sink in the bathroom is dirty, the plumbing is also not entirely clean, limescale has never been familiar with Cillit bang, it’s good at least the towels are clean. There was no bathrobe provided for a room of this category, for some reason the slippers were hidden in a closet on the second level, apparently to make it easier to find them, there is no wardrobe for outerwear on the first level, the so-called tea and coffee set is, in their opinion that this is a kettle, with a crack on top, which does not turn off, and which we also had to ask the maid for the same, it was good that we had a mug with us, there are no dishes in the kitchen on the first level, why then is it needed at all? We ordered a sauna for the evening, for an hour, we went in, the temperature was 40 degrees Celsius, it was hot for half an hour, they just turned it on late, so if you decide, ask to turn on the stove in advance so that you don’t have to freeze. The water in the jacuzzi somehow smelled stale, there was a question about its cleanliness. After all this, we fell asleep on separate beds, although we ordered a room with a double bed, slept well, falling asleep with horror thinking about breakfast.....Morning struck, breakfast buffet, struck by its abundance, porridge, muesli, fruit, scrambled eggs, juices, milk, yogurt.... For those who like heavier potatoes and meatballs, cheese and meat cuts, traditional herring, fresh vegetables, a large selection of bread and buns. All this somehow smoothed out the unpleasant impressions, and the permission for 2.5 hours of free parking after the official departure turned out to be important, while we were walking around the city. During the stay, parking is also free. In general, the trip brought more positive emotions, maybe we were just unlucky with the number and so on. . Interestingly, the owners of the Domina chain are aware of the state of the room stock in this hotel? Hope next time will be better!
