I liked the rest very much. Calm, beautiful, the beach is a miracle, just relax. A wonderful hotel, special thanks to the Guru, meets all Russian-speaking tourists, solves all your problems and only with a smile. I will definitely go again.

Traveled with my wife in March 2012. everything we expected was what we saw. the notorious Indian slowness (and where are they in a hurry? ), At the same time, open benevolence and politeness. the hotel is very good, the rooms are large, clean (by the way, for eleven days of rest, we didn’t see any living creatures in the room), there is an LCD TV, a conder, a safe, all toiletries (up to shaving foam), the hotel is designed for a quiet, leisurely vacation.

I recommend buying a tour only with breakfast, why you yourself will understand that you can have lunch and dinner excellently in cafes which are next to the hotel, if I'm not mistaken, there are four. I recommend visiting everything, and when you are in a cafe called "Sasha's" say hello to Francis, world guy. you can travel around the area by bicycles and scooters (rented next to the hotel) and taxis, be sure to bargain for the price. the beach is clean, sunbeds are almost always empty, there are two cafes on the shore where you can buy soft drinks. If you have any questions, write and I will answer. Gennady

We rested at the Club Maxindra 4 * hotel (South GOA) in mid-March 2011 on an all-inclusive basis. We rested at the Club Maxindra 4 * hotel (South GOA) in mid-March 2011 on an all-inclusive basis. The hotel is located next to the sea, access to the beach just behind the territory, the territory is well-groomed, a lot of greenery, two swimming pools and even a fountain. The rooms are mostly large, there are a small number of small rooms, but they are cozy and clean. This is where all the positives end.
Goans are strange people, for example, they could not understand us at all, that in the very heat from 2-4 pm we just want to relax in the room and maybe even fall asleep. We hung out a red sign on the door for the first three days, but they called by phone every 10-15 minutes with the words “room cleaning”, we asked to do this cleaning after 17:00. (in English) but they called again. In the end, we gave up and did not hang out the sign, it was easier to let them in for cleaning and then go back into the room.
Goans consume little raw vegetables and fruits. There were a few vegetables, and fruits were only for breakfast and very rarely for dinner. There is no service in the restaurant, something always ends: cups, spoons, coffee, sweets, hot vegetables, meat, fish; I had to wait to be taken out, they even waited for water for 30-40 minutes. With us, one woman found a cockroach in her salad plate, the waiters apologized and even brought her a meat dish, which was not in the hall. There is another restaurant with Indian cuisine, where three of our group got food poisoning after dinner, but the wine is much better there.
There is nowhere to walk outside the hotel, well, we walked through the dirty village once or twice. Shops are 10-11 km away, these are Colva or Cavelosim, you can get there by taxi (round trip) for 600-700 rupees per car, this price includes waiting for tourists up to 2 hours.
On the territory they saw snakes of different colors, and acquaintances on the 1st floor had a huge fluffy black spider, which they nailed and threw out into the street. And when they came up to their room after dinner, they saw several guards, since the room was open for sanitization, it was not a simple spider. They immediately offered to move to another room.

Just arrived from vacation, and decided to immediately write a review, we were so impressed by it! We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Very clean, big area, helpful staff. The rooms are new, beautiful design, new plumbing. The beach is clean, even the cows could not spoil the impression! Sunbeds are really "half-alive", but this is such a trifle compared to all the pluses.

Sunbeds are really "half-alive", but this is such a trifle compared to all the pluses. Restaurant "Cosmos" (if you can call it a restaurant at all) which is located on the beach, does not belong to the hotel. It looks terrible, but very tasty they cook lobsters in a creamy cheese filling, and they serve quickly! On the territory of the hotel, there is a small children's town, two swimming pools with very clean water, yoga with meditations is held in the morning at 5.00, although I found out about this late, so I personally was not there. Yes, by the way, it is especially necessary to mention about breakfasts - a large selection of scrambled eggs, tortillas, cereals, beans, national dishes with various sauces, milkshakes, freshly squeezed juices, but diluted, and the most delicious is tortillas with masala mmmm....yummy! Great hotel, strong 4 *! We will definitely come back here! And we advise you!

We were going to Goa very hastily, we took the hotel almost the first one that came across, so I think that we were lucky - it could have been much worse! ))) In "Mahindra" there are pluses and minuses. Of the benefits - excellent plumbing, clean water, excellent cleaning. No unsanitary conditions! Nothing that scares tourists going to India.

Of the benefits - excellent plumbing, clean water, excellent cleaning. No unsanitary conditions! Nothing that scares tourists going to India. Large beautiful area - fountains, flowers. flashlights, two large pools (albeit shallow). The staff is very nice, very friendly. But slow. Three of us arrive, move into the room - and there are two beds! We begin to be indignant, and we are surprised: “Why are you worried? Now we will bring you“ extra troubles ”! We are waiting. After a night flight, we want to sleep terribly. They don’t drag us. I return to the room - a phone call. Surprised voice: "Do you need extra trouble NOW? " "Yes, - yell. - Precisely NOW! That is, immediately! " We understand that we won’t be able to relax, we go for a walk, we return... And in the room there are TWO EXTRA BEDS !! ! That's what it means to run over properly. . . How we laughed! Of the minuses: a loud air conditioner - it cools as it should, but it also rumbles like a stone crusher. Inedible restaurant. At all. I don't know how they manage to ruin even oatmeal. Well, these are small things: there are many "catering establishments" around the hotel, and they are delicious. But a serious minus: the sea is unsuitable for swimming - a very strong surf. At the same time, the beach is excellent - large, empty, white sand, but swimming is a bummer. You can only jump in the waves near the shore. We went to swim in Palolem. It's great to swim there.

ACCOMMODATION AND SERVICE. Upon arrival, we waited 1.5 hours for accommodation. It was a terrible ordeal after a sleepless night on a plane with drunken tourists, given that it was hot and we just melted in the hotel lobby, there is no air conditioner there, because there are no doors, it probably means that the draft will be fresher. The child's head was sweaty, his hair was wet, as if he had bathed somewhere. They gave a small number (No. 1236), even extra. do not put a bed for a child. But a married couple without children was given a bigger room - for what reasons, it is not clear. After all, we paid and they "standard". But I didn’t want to get in touch, because we fell off our feet and would have to wait again for 2 hours, because the service is oh-oh-very slow and forgetful. You ask for 3 bath towels, they bring 2.
Well, in general, we are not offended by them, in principle, everyone is friendly and our room turned out to be quite cozy and pretty, despite some tightness. Every day they made figurines out of towels.
GENERAL MOMENTS. They don’t say a word in Russian at the reception, at least they learned the word “hello”, because they offer a hotel on the Russian market, but in the bar the waiters understand and explain themselves a little, and in the eateries on the beach they also mumble a little in Russian and even the menu on Russian is in the cafe "Gloria" (or something similar). Well, the beach and cafes there do not belong to the hotel. The hotel has a lot of local people resting, wealthy Indians from all over the country. This hotel specializes in compatriots, and we are Europeans, so, for the exotic, they look at us like white monkeys.
The Hindus asked us to take pictures with them more than once, especially our son - a little white-skinned boy in the company of dark-skinned Indians looks very, in their opinion, apparently, exotic.
There is nothing to do outside the hotel, a wasteland, dirt, several shacks, and walking pigs and cows.
Be vigilant, they tried to divorce us by inviting us on an excursion to the Holiday Inn hotel. There, instead of an excursion, they began to sell a time-share. I think they work with a tip from our guides from the meeting side, otherwise how could they know in which room the newly arrived people stayed, and call us on the very first evening and invite us to "see another hotel", and we, without waking up from the road, agreed to another day for a meeting, and we didn’t know about such a divorce.
By the way, India prohibits the use of tobacco.
BEACH. Municipal beach. Sunbeds only at those same cafes or sheks in their language.
If you order juice or beer or eat, then you use the sunbed for free. Merchants walk along the municipal beach, selling beads and all sorts of rubbish - they are also familiar with the Russian language. Gypsies walk around, give performances (almost like in Indian cinema). The villagers drive away their sacred bulls. But it somehow does not bother, the beach strip is wide, there is enough space for everyone, and in general it sometimes seems that the beaches are deserted. The sea is warm, but already at the beginning of March it is restless, big waves understand the sand and sorry for the details, then you have to shake the sand out of the swimming trunks. Before going to the beach, either a security guard, or a policeman, in general, a man in uniform, sits and asks and then writes down in a journal what number we are from, back - the same procedure.
NUTRITION. Food to the conscience is flavored with spices, although we are omnivores, but after a few days nothing climbed into the throat.
Even in scrambled eggs in the morning, the cook who fried them managed to throw in some spices if you didn’t have time to say “know spice”. Therefore, we went to cafes on the beach where we ordered soups with chicken or seafood, but we already agreed with the waiters that they would cook without spices. Probably, you can advise people who go to this hotel to take only BB (breakfasts), we took ALL, we thought that we would not risk feeding the child in eateries, and there would be no problems with food at the hotel, but we were bitterly mistaken. The child ate scrambled eggs in the morning, and for lunch and dinner from the offered buffet he ate nothing but ice cream, well, the Indians hadn’t thought of throwing their spices there yet. and in a cafe on the beach they ate and everything was in order with their bellies.
ENTERTAINMENT AND SHOPPING. There was no animation in the hotel. For us, the best entertainment was "Old Monk" rum (it seems) - not even expensive and not bad, and dubbing Indian films that were on TV.
Then there were taxi rides to the nearest village of Cavelossim to buy the same rum and souvenirs, as well as excursions. By the way, taxi drivers stand at every hotel, because civilization is far away and you can’t walk on foot. It seems that for 600 rubles of theirs they drove us back and forth and waited 1-1.5 while we went shopping and bought goods. Pharmacies surprised us a lot. In addition to medicines, cosmetics, food, water, you can still buy alcohol and exchange currency there. The rate here is much more profitable than at the hotel at the reception, but here, in different pharmacies, the rate is different - look for it and find it.
The hotel has 2 shops - one with gemstones and food, the other - with souvenirs and children's toys.
In the village where we went, you can also buy hats - a taxi driver brought us to a small shopping center, and saris and stoles, and jewelry, and tea and coffee - ask a taxi driver and he will take you to a specialized store (home to Russia - although I didn’t feel anything special in the inn tea that we brought) - and don’t forget to bargain.
TOURS. We went on 2 excursions to the neighboring state of Karnataka and to the spice plantation. Both liked, all very exotic. A riot of colors, colors, smells. At the spice plantation, girls were greeted with songs and dances, showered with flower petals, smeared each with a red dot on their foreheads. They showed how certain types of fruits and spices grow. There we were fed, given the opportunity to choose the freshest spices in the shop as a souvenir. During the second excursion, we left the state of Goa and entered the state of Karnataka. Each state, as a separate state, has customs on the border of the state
. We traveled to several temples and holy places for the Hindus - after all, they are very pious, every 10-15 meters they have either a temple or a holy place or a holy tree or something else sacred associated with their religion. In general, it was very interesting and informative, and we were lucky with the guide, we got a lot of useful information about the country. We swam in the Indian Ocean, by the way, the coast of Goa washes the Arabian Sea. On the way back there was a skirmish between our driver and the local population, here we suffered fear, they took our car into the ring while the disassembly was going on, they probably spent more than an hour surrounded. Everyone's faces are wild, they shout something and you don't know what to expect from them, because their mentality is different. Who are we to them? We are not sacred bulls, I think if there was a more serious conflict, we would be torn apart like Tuzik a heating pad, without a twinge of conscience.
But in the end, we still returned home safe and sound, except for the lost time and nerves.
GENERAL IMPRESSIONS:
ABOUT THE TRIP. Everything is not very clear. Interesting, bright on the one hand, and the dirt and ignorance of the local population on the other hand. But the country is interesting with a rich history and cultural heritage, and it seems that the inhabitants of India have remained mothballed in this, because as they prayed to their Gods for thousands of years, they still pray now and do not particularly strive for civilization.
ABOUT THE HOTEL. Still, even compared to the Egyptian ones, this hotel is inferior in many respects, in my opinion: spicy food (it is clear that in order to disinfect the body, but still you cook for Europeans, but we are unusually spicy and it seems that everything tastes the same ), lack of animation (we entertained ourselves with rum, but where are the children?
The children's room does not count - they don't speak Russian there, and our cub doesn't understand English), slowness of service, remoteness from civilization.
But on the other hand - a pleasant, well-groomed territory, the presence of a pool and even with a children's slide, the presence of hammocks in the shade of trees, 1 line of the beach, cozy rooms and flower arrangements in the lobby, the friendliness of the staff (for the most part) - still speaking different languages, they sometimes figured out what we want from them, and even (we never met this in Egypt) in the morning daily fresh newspapers in English about events in India - we guessed this from photographs, because we don’t read English.
CONCLUSIONS AND ADVICE. If you are not a gourmet, you do not need discos until the morning, you are not picky and capricious, you speak at least a little English - you will be fine here.
If you have extra money - choose something else - you will only like the well-groomed, green area in the hotel.
I would say CLUB MAHINDRA is a budget hotel. Although in the time that has passed, after our visit to this hotel, maybe something has already changed for the better.

In November 2007, we went on vacation to India in Goa. The travel agency offered us a four-star hotel "Mahindra Club". Seeing it in advertising booklets, at first they were horrified: there were two creepy palm trees in the photographs and that's it. When they called the travel agencies, they heard a far from flattering assessment of this hotel: the hotel is old, it has not been reconstructed for a long time. Anyway, we flew at our own peril: there were very big problems with vouchers, but I really wanted to go to India. Imagine how surprised we were when we saw a great hotel. The huge hall is decorated with compositions of fresh flowers, which were new every day, comfortable upholstered furniture. On the second floor there is a cozy bar with a balcony. A huge green area with two magnificent pools, one of which has a bar with alcoholic drinks chosen by our fellow tribesmen. The hotel rooms are quite good. At first we were settled in a small room, which was renovated (this is about reconstruction), but it was quite noisy, and we were moved to another place - in a huge room with a bed, upholstered furniture, with a bar and a full set of kitchen appliances, between Other than that, absolutely free.
Thus began our vacation - two weeks of uninterrupted pleasure from life.
Gentle, absolutely non-scorching sun, ocean. Gorgeous clean beach with white sand, Every evening we waited on the ocean for sunset. An indescribable sight - the sun falls into the water in a few seconds. It just needs to be seen. I want to say right away that in India, hotels do not have their own beaches - all are municipal. There are no umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach, but they will give you one if you buy a bottle of water in a cafe located right there on the beach. In these cafes you can have lunch and dinner - the cuisine is excellent, the seafood is fresh, the prices are ridiculous. The hotel also cooks deliciously, but many dishes are very spicy, the Russian stomach is not adapted to them. Of course, there is no such variety as in Turkey or Egypt, but everything is freshly prepared. Separately, I would like to say about the Indian rum "Old Monk" - a sunny drink, you should not bring alcohol with you - you will take it back, but bring rum as a gift - your friends will be grateful.
The hotel staff is very hospitable, like all Indians. These people smile at you with their heart and soul, but at the same time they do not impose themselves and the service. So much positive energy comes from them that you yourself begin to enjoy life like a child. Indians are just big kids. There is only one “but” - they are very slow, you can wait for ordered drinks for a long time, these problems are solved by very small tips.
Six months have passed since we returned to Moscow, we often think about India. This is the place on Earth where you really want to return. We advise you to go.

To begin with, few places indicate that since March the sea has been quite agitated and swimming has become problematic, the beauty of the sea is not visible, there is a lot of sand, muddy, strong ebbs and flows. The season is actually over, the waves bring a lot of mud, and the beach is cleaned once a week.

Now about the hotel: beautiful well-groomed territory, clean, tidy!! ! BUT the rooms are very mediocre with musty smell, small bathroom. Safe and hair dryer still in the room, although everywhere it was written that on request. Pool 2 and very small, but the jacuzzi is excellent. There are many Indians, but it did not annoy us at all. The staff is very!!! ! friendly and responsive.
About food: the ALL Inclusive system wants the best, very poor food. And further!!! ! the dishes can be served DIRTY, they change immediately after the remark with apologies, but nonetheless UNPLEASANT. No fun!! ! Rest here is purely beach, complete relaxation. A good opportunity to get away from everything.
Shopping: very beautiful jewelry for ridiculous money, silk, good knitwear...Beautiful nature and...terrible dirt and poverty outside the hotels. Yes, I didn’t like the VIM AVIA airline, it’s better to fly TransAero. Many thanks to the guides Lanta Tour Sasha and Natasha, excellent organization and very attentive attitude towards tourists.
PS in Thailand we liked much more and everything is cheaper, but worth a look. Everything is relative. I will answer questions isq 225095487
