When we were offered this hotel, there was nothing to choose from, and the last tourist review was from 2007. I will try to simply describe the current state of the hotel.
1. There was no repair for about 10 years. However, the rooms are clean. Air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, kettle and hair dryer in the room and work properly. Towels are changed every day or twice a day. Linen - on request. In my opinion, the maids do not quite understand why it should be changed daily. They somehow evaluate the cleanliness of the linen and make a decision. But if you tell them that it's time, they will gladly change it.
2. The territory of the hotel - it simply does not exist. The hotel is on the beach. On the way to the beach you pass through the pool and sunbeds. The road to the beach takes one minute.
3. Hotel guests: 80% are wealthy Indians, the remaining 20% are British, Russians and aircraft crews from different countries.
4. Location: 4 km from the airport. Planes take off and land regularly, but due to the noise of the surf, they are almost inaudible. They do not fly directly over the beach. The cost to get to the airport is 100 rubles. 10 km from the hotel - one of the largest cities - Vasco, with shops, markets, pharmacies. Absolutely not a tourist city. To get to it - 200 rubles. Although, you can take a regular bus for 10 rubles and 25 minutes.
5. Infrastructure at the hotel: poor. There is one store, or rather a kiosk, where you can buy essentials. Shampoo, chips, mineral water, etc. About 10 shops selling souvenirs and jewelry. Five stalls selling clothes. Perhaps everything. There are several cafes on the beach. The best one is the one closest to the hotel. In my opinion. Prices are about the same, quality too. In a word, there is no party, no shopping and no one offers marijuana, unlike North Goa.
6. Beach - there are cows and dogs. But they clean up after them every day. In the south of GOA, the beaches are more deserted and clean. In the North, more party and with a wide offer of everything. But there is a local flavor here: a lot of fishermen, a lot of Indians, but in general the beach is not crowded. Very good sea. Long enough - fine. Clean, fine sand. Not high waves.
7. Ayurveda - the hotel is expensive, but 100 meters from the hotel - a small private office, where a very good specialist George works. The cost of Ayurvedic massage (with oil) for 1.2 hours is 560 rubles.
8. Food at the hotel, breakfasts: surprisingly meager and monotonous for this stardom. It seemed to me that they were designed for the requests of the Indians - scrambled eggs / scrambled eggs / boiled egg, chicken sausage, two types of fruit. Rice, beans, potatoes. Something vegetable in curry sauce and something else, 2 types of pastries, and always stale, Perhaps everything. Coffee - instant, tea from packages. Restaurants at the hotel are always empty. Lunches and dinners - in a cafe on the beach.
