Review:
A room at the BLUE REEF hotel feels like a prison cell.
Twilight (one 40W light bulb in a closed metal lamp - I bought a second one myself to keep my sanity).
The walls and ceiling are dirty and in some kind of terrible spots - as if some unfortunate bloodied animals were caught and beaten against the walls here.
Beds are single beds only. Wardrobes and bedside tables - designs "I put together 3 boards" All furniture is painted with streaks with a brush in a gloomy dark dirty green color.
Curtains hanging from oilcloth all stained and holes.
They demanded a bribe at the reception - in view of this, the air conditioner worked for the first days - for the only residents, but then it was turned off anyway (it was turned off - I checked - they took away the only joy - that was the last straw).
The TV is small - 35 cm - one channel works with interference.
(!!! ) There is a constant (day-night) loud noise from the street - similar to the sound of a circular saw - outside the territory of the BLUE REEF hotel there are some rooms in which some kind of satanic equipment is working around the clock.
Room cleaning - forget about this concept.
Refrigerator, safe, hair dryer - forget it too.
*
The bathroom is like a toilet. Everything is covered in dirt, debris, rust and drips. The tile is chipped and crooked with a touch of some kind of slime. Plumbing is old, uncleaned semi-working. Sparkling wires hanging next to the sink. Wooden window into a concrete well. Toilet paper and soap are not in sight, towels are issued once and do not change. At the same time, the towels look like they have not been washed for 4 months. There is no hot water 80% of the time. Cold - rusty with a smell
*
Bed linen at the Blue Reef Hotel (BLUE REEF) does not change, it turns out that even standing next to it is scary - dirty, full of holes, smelly (we immediately bought a new one in the store). Towels, as already mentioned, are more like a doormat and also do not change (also had to be bought).
*
The Street Part of the Room - there is something that apparently should be called a balcony - although this area inexplicably opens into the passage of the building (stairs and corridor), and not to the facade. Glass doors lead to the balcony, which prudently cannot be locked - in fact, the room is constantly open (I had to buy screws and screw the doors to the wall). There is a broken dirty chair and a bucket on the balcony. The approach to the room is constantly blocked by a wooden staircase. From the roof to the floor in front of the door - periodically, threatening to kill, pieces of bricks and plaster fall off and fall with noise.
*
Dining at the Blue Reef Hotel (BLUE REEF) is the only thing that at least somehow corresponded to the level of at least 2 *. There is no buffet - what they give is what you eat. More or less well prepared. Variety - dishes are changed every 2 days. Fruit - half a guava (a type of pear). The dining room, although it does not shine, but at least does not inspire disgust - repairs and cleanliness are maintained at a minimum acceptable level. The weakest point is the table setting.
*
The territory of the hotel Blue Reef (BLUE REEF) is a nightmare worthy of a separate site.
Apparently the hotel once went bankrupt, they completely stopped investing money in it, no repairs, etc. work is not carried out, the hotel is being destroyed - the owner mercilessly exploits what remains. Probably this was the reason that the hotel recently changed the status of 2 * to 3 * (!!! )
Of course, there is no greenery (grass), in the center of the territory, in some places, the surface is covered with some kind of green synthetic material - of such a state and type - that it would be better if it were just earth.
Buildings are destroyed - pieces of concrete fall on the paths, which is unsafe. On the pavement there is a non-disappearing coating of crumbling finishing debris and fragments of structures - like next to a building being demolished.
Approximately 30% of the rooms came to a state of complete ruin - doors and windows and all furniture were broken out of such rooms (apparently to complete the remaining rooms) - rooms without doors gape with emptiness and rubbish, instilling horror in those passing by.
Half of the remaining rooms are occupied by those who apparently live there permanently - incomprehensible Arabs. Bunk beds, drying linen, the smell of cooking food and half-dressed squealing Arabs unforgettably complete the picture of the Blue Reef hotel (BLUE REEF).
THERE IS A POOL(!!! ) but the water in it is in such a state that only the aforementioned Arabs have the courage to enter it.
Bar, gym, sports grounds - I don't even mention such luxury.
*
BEACH .
Hotel Blue Reef (BLUE REEF) is located on the 3rd line - a 15-minute walk from the sea. However, if you think that while staying at the BLUE REEF hotel it will be enough for you to walk 15 minutes to the sea - this is not so.
You will not be allowed to the nearby beaches (or they will ask for 50 dollars) - ALL beaches belong to other hotels, there are no mythical “wild” beaches (verified).
The beach, which residents of the BLUE REEF hotel can get to, is located at the other end of the city - 20 minutes by shuttle bus and after 20 minutes on foot. At the same time, the beach is also used by other hotels, small, cramped, there are no free sunbeds.
The beach is located in such a place - where the water is muddy, there are no fish and corals, there is a port nearby. This is the farthest and last beach in the city. Even sunbeds there like (I don’t remember exactly) are paid.
The hotel does not provide transport - you will have to get on your own, far and for a fee.
The easiest way out is to use the paid municipal (common) beach for $ 5 / day (20min walk from the hotel). Although the beach is peculiar - narrow (7-10m) and sometimes homeless Arabs lie on shabby sunbeds (apparently by acquaintance with the security guard)
It is also worth mentioning the previously unknown feeling of humiliation at the resort - the Arabs on any beach (paid / non-paid without a difference) instantly understand that since you came here, you live in the garbage, they very willingly demonstrate this understanding. They generally do not like "infidels" and never for that they will not miss a rare chance to show you that you are second-rate, to laugh at you and show their contempt - even the slightest reason.
So - if you, God forbid, having arrived at the sea, want to swim - it will suddenly be a REALLY REAL PROBLEM.
*
STAFF
There is nothing special to write here. The staff of the Blue Reef Hotel (BLUE REEF) are Arabs who, apparently, could not find a job in a decent hotel or work for living. They are absolutely deaf to any requests - they will say “tomorrow” and definitely will never do it.
Moderately arrogant and boorish - although it is necessary to make a footnote that the author is a master of sports in weightlifting, the appearance of which discourages the desire to be rude. How the staff communicates with other visitors - I do not know.
We didn't see the cleaners of the rooms.
For the slightest reason, they extort money. Giving money is especially disgusting and morally difficult, because. the reason for the bribe is always free in other places (however, there is nothing to do).
*The drivers of the incoming / outgoing transport / transfer at the words "BLUE REEF hotel" openly laugh. The guide at the meeting - tries not to show his appearance - but it is clear that he is very ashamed of what the visitors have encountered (turns away, hides his eyes, etc. ).
*
LOCATION
Convenient - the Blue Reef Hotel (BLUE REEF) is located on the northeastern outskirts of Sharm El Sheikh - 5 minutes by bus from the main street (Naama Bay). To the coastline - about 1.5 km.
Because the hotel is far from the center - noisy crowds of people and sellers are not observed nearby.
However, as I wrote here - the location does not allow you to use the sea.

But for everything to be so bad? Yes it's true.
There are even dilapidated rooms where no one lives.
The mattress stinks in the room, took it out to dry on the first day.
Food - portioned, brought on a tray and no additives.
Wi-fi - not available, you need to go to a cafe for $6 an hour, or buy a £.5 access card at Starbucks.
The room is dirty, never cleaned or changed the gray linen.
Towels and soap had to be beaten out - they were not there.
I never swam in the pool - the impression of dirt.
The beach is marhaba beach, you can get it on your own, by taxi or minibus, the beach is very personal.
Near the hotel there is some kind of pumping station, around the clock noise.
The staff is friendly but does nothing.
I won't go here again, even if it's free.

You will spend much more than everything else there, and if you go to another hotel, then you won’t have to spend money !!!!! ! The view is JUST HORRIBLE!!!!!!
Even the local Arabs laugh from this hotel, we saw how scared the Arabs were and sympathized with our brother when someone said that he lives in the Blue reef. Once again we warn you not to go there, there are many good hotels in Sharm and you can get them at a good price 3 days before departure.

I gave them 10 minutes to return things brought an empty suitcase and socks.

We went for 12 days / 11 nights, rested 100%.
Corner room with the Arabs, but the beds are separate. We went with a friend to the Pyramids, to eat fruit and take a walk with the girls : ) We succeeded with the first two points, but with the third point it was more difficult at first, all the virgins in the hotel are from the club "For those who are over 70 at". But communication, already over the edge. Only on the 4th day, applicants began to arrive : ). Russian-speaking hotel from Arabs to Rizhanki. And there were even from Kazan. The pool is clean (I liked it) the water was constantly changing and at 6:00 to be stingy, like being born : )
Breakfast - from the kitchen of dietary dishes and always scrambled eggs, supper soup (even sometimes nothing) for the second rice-foreva and meat. plus fruit or dates or something else like gossamer cake or fruit casserole.
Water in the supermarket is not very expensive on the right side of the hotel, Strawberries are there for 7 rubles / half a kilo for our rubles!
You need to ride blue minibuses no more than 3 pounds / person-trip to the old market, and then buy fruits in the back of the fruit shops and put them on air conditioning.
mosquitoes and flies frankly zadolbali. A chair was whistled from the veranda 2 times, but we returned everything from inside the hotel cafe in good faith. There is no refrigerator in the room, but everything can be put on the air conditioner and not turn it off, if you are not going in January, of course.
The staff is scary with their Arabic conversations. In general, the language is scary. Three Arabs begin to swear at me, after asking them to repeat in English, it turned out that they need a lighter to light it up) The room costs $ 15 / extra day, so you can stay until the plane and bus transfer.
And now about... what you need to close your eyes to:
The hotel looks like a boarding house in the ruins of the 80s, where everything is half crumbled and half broken. Columns with arches are best avoided. Classicism with dark green-Irish inclusions is surprising, although in general, if this place is provided only for an overnight stay, this is it. Swimming in the pool around the clock - allowed. Drinking - parties - are allowed, although the Arabians attract the attention of Goykay and Gekay.
Prayers on Mondays at 4 am can be stopped by barking once loudly - they will go outside the hotel : ) and they will sing there : ) (If not Ramadan).
I have a T-shirt along with a change of underwear - they stole it : )
The cockroaches were wiped out in a day by Ryde, brought with him.
Electric kettle brought with them, the same tape recorder.
Shower and toilet combined - you had to go for toilet paper yourself.
Next to the hotel, some kind of pumping station is buzzing around the clock - you can’t sit on the balcony without a tape recorder.
We went to the beach of other hotels and 3 times went to our hotel (Marhaba).
Best of all, Nova Hotel, they have 2 coastlines occupied by the hotel, and there are always places on the beach.
(you can dye a towel blue-green with blue from the shop of Antonio Banderos's double (an Egyptian similar to him))
The passage between the beaches is free. Flora and fauna - not in a fairy tale to say.
I advise you to take Ride from mosquitoes into a socket, an electric kettle and a tape recorder. And then you will rest 100%
There is a working TV, but we did not have time to watch it : ) in 11 days : )
Celebrations on Broadway Naama Beach, where everyone sees each other : ) and eventually know. Dating there. It is better to take vodka with you, add it to cheap juices.
Compared to Crimea for 10 days, I had a better rest in this old sky reef, located not so far from the airport!
There were also incidents with the police : )) In one place, a friend was thrown from the beach with pushes in the back - he decided to massage the breasts of a nudist. The second time we refused to pay $3 for an incorrectly recorded disc, unreadable by the music center. . .
The police always stand on the side of the tourists, and withdraw money from the Arab merchants, fine them for any challenge from the tourist.
- IN GENERAL - HAVE A WELL RESTED : )
I recommend for a specific budget, reckless youth and dietary rest.
On the territory of the hotel you can ride on rollers (it was). Look for videos about the hotel in search engines. where to put the thread! Have a nice holiday!

The hotel is really teeming with provincial teenagers who do not care about the generally accepted rules of relaxation. It is almost impossible to relax in the hotel day or night - Russian pop music rumbles throughout the hotel, depending on the time of day. If you settle on the right side of the hotel, then the construction noise will drown out the pop music, and the attendants live on the right side, and the alternative will be Arabic music and television at night. So choose for yourself. . . On the very first night, a man from the servants broke into me, and he knocked on the door for a long time, then on the window, and then simply unceremoniously broke the balcony door and burst into the room, but after my piercing screams he hastily retreated. In the morning I complained to the reception and the guide, who answered me like this: "What do you want for that kind of money? It's normal... why didn't you open the door for him at one in the morning? You have to open it! " I paid $250. for 6 nights single. Therefore, I was guaranteed not only a disgusting service, which I read about in advance and prepared properly (I took a sheet, a fatarik, a towel, dishes, a kettle), but also a COMPLETE LACK OF OWN SECURITY !! ! This incident can only be regarded as a robbery! Further, in retaliation, apparently one of the servants first turned off the light in my room in retaliation, but I didn’t go to figure it out, because I had planned many excursions and was out of the hotel. Then one day I returned home, and there they turned off the very rusty dirty water, without which it was still difficult to live (I took a flashlight, but I didn’t stock up on water tanks), I had to go to the reception again - wasting time. The same "window thief" came to fix everything. Luckily, we managed to get him out quickly. I will not write about unsanitary conditions and other horrors - the reviews below are fully confirmed. A neighbor did not bring sheets - she washed herself in the hotel, there was a refrigerator and a TV, but they did not work.
