We flew to Paris for the May weekend. We chose the hotel ourselves, based on the experience of traveling to Europe, we decided that we needed a fairly economical option.
In Paris, hotel rooms are almost always small in size, especially if you choose a district in the center. Our choice fell on the Ibis Tour Eiffel Cambronne.
From the pros:
+ Location. This was the decisive factor in choosing the hotel. The location is perfect, of course, the Eiffel Tower was not visible from our room, but from the hotel lobby - it was : ).
The metro is literally 50 meters from the hotel, there is also a bus stop right next to the hotel (we have never used it. The routes were not particularly suitable).
On the very first evening, we walked on foot to the Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower, a quiet walk to the tower took about 20-30 minutes, despite the fact that we did not know the exact path. On the last day, we also reached the Les Invalides in 15 minutes.
There are a couple of supermarkets nearby - a large Carrefour is about 1 km from the hotel, Carrefour Express is literally around the corner, there are several bakeries, restaurants and cafes nearby.
+ Nutrition. The breakfasts were very good. The choice of sausages, cheeses (including expensive cheeses such as Brie and Camembert) was great, always tea, coffee, water. The restaurant is very clean, tables are cleaned very quickly, it has never happened that some kind of food is over. Cereals are added, pancakes are delivered, cups are washed quickly and brought clean. We had only breakfast - we are very satisfied.
We had lunch at the hotel restaurant once, on the day of departure. Liked. Service is good, delicious food. FROM pleasant little things - a free basket of bread and various pastas, pates.
+ Bed. Large comfortable bed in the room. With a very good mattress. True, they have it in advertising, that our sleep is very dear to them : )
+ Service. The rooms were cleaned well. No complaints. Towels were changed if they were left on the floor.
Check-in went very smoothly, no questions asked, on the day of departure they called us a taxi without any problems.
There are no critical disadvantages, the hotel is quite budget and corresponds to the descriptions on the website. However, there are some small nuances that did not please.
- The room has a TV, air conditioning, hair dryer, but no minibar and safe. And you can't get them.
- The room is very small, there is no wardrobe as such, there are hangers behind the TV, the design of the wardrobe is of course amazing.
- The bathroom is also small, soap-shampoo-shower gel all in one bottle.
- Elevator. We lived on the 8th floor. No elevator whatsoever. Very slow, there are only 3 of them. But they worked slowly, there is a suspicion that the people themselves are to blame for this. Because when you need to go up, they don’t press the up arrow, but everything in a row : )
In general, the impression is quite good, the hotel is not bad for staying, especially if you do not plan to stay in the room all the time.
We almost never were in the room, we were constantly walking. The area allowed, and indeed, this is Paris : )
