The hotel is located in the heart of Helsinki and therefore is at the center of everything that happens in Helsinki. Cultural and entertainment lovers can visit the Finnish National Theater and the Helsinki Grand Casino located right next to the hotel, the Ateneum State Art Museum and the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art are also nearby. Shoppers will enjoy Helsinki's biggest department stores and the most interesting little shops in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The Market Square and the Old Market Hall are about a kilometer away. Helsinki Railway Station is next to the hotel, so the Messukeskus Exhibition Center and the Hartwall Arena in Pasila can be reached by train in just a few minutes. Distance to the bus station is about 500 meters, tram stops and the metro station are a few steps away. Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is about half an hour away. The airport can be conveniently reached by taxi or by bus, which leaves from Eliel Square, located behind the train station. Marine passenger terminals are located about a kilometer from the hotel.More →

And in general imagined where and what hotels are.
This time we came to Helsinki not from Moscow, but from St. Petersburg. And not by train, but by bus (Finnord, from Italian, 37 at 15-40.1600 rubles)
(Of course, we already had a Schengen)

Therefore, they arrived quite late at 22-00.
The hotel was booked literally the day before through Booking. com. com and caught him there in a sale for 80 euros, which is quite good for Helsinki.

The hotel is a bit out of the way (by Helsinki standards)
from Kamppi - 7 minutes walk, from the street. Mannerheim - respectively, 10-15 minutes on foot.

He arranged for us in all respects:
- firstly, the price for it was the lowest on that day (only the Eurohostel was cheaper)
- secondly, this is Radison, and the pictures and reviews were generally not bad
- thirdly - we came to Kamppi and the next day we left for Tallinn by ferry, and this hotel was quite close for us. And from Kamppi, and to the Tallink ferry terminal (the so-called Western terminal, and the one next to the street.
Esplanadi and the market - they call it the South).
How to quickly and conveniently get to the Tallink terminal - I will write below.

It is convenient to go from Kampii to the hotel, because the road goes downhill))))
Along the way, there is another Radisson and also Blu. But this is not seaside.
By the way, you can’t expect special beautiful views from the fact that the hotel is a sea-side.
Yes, there is a mini-bay, but there are some port cranes sticking out there.
Although there is one pretty schooner laid up off the coast.
Whether for beauty, or a restaurant.

We wrote in booking in advance that we would have a Late check-in, we would arrive after 22-00 and ask to keep the room for us.
Just in case.

In fact, it would be better for us to eat on the way to the hotel - some establishments are open until 22/23 pm in the Kamppi area (McDonald's, a couple of bars and round-the-clock Arabs).

And so we popped into the hotel restaurant (cute and moderate prices), ondo 23-30, but the kitchen until 23-00.
I had to trudge back to KAMPII and dine with round-the-clock Arabs.
Although they have grilled-salmon for 13.5 euros - a huge plate, and the fish is quite good.
And so in the area of the hotel in the evening / night there is nowhere to eat.
Tram number 6 runs in front of the hotel. On it, by the way, you can get to the railway station.

In the lobby of the hotel there is something like a small playground for children (large cubes, etc. )
And there are also several monitors with free Internet for those who wish.
In the middle of the hall, a huge square pouffe with pillows hangs on ropes - it's nice to sit / lie on it if you are waiting for someone)))

The room turned out to be quite good. Nice design.
The room had a mini kettle, tea bags, normal slippers
Our bed was queen size, very comfortable.
Slept just fine!

The window is not really big.
Cons: No air conditioning. But on the street it was at night around +19+21, despite the beginning of August. So there was no inconvenience from the lack of air conditioning.
The window overlooked a side street.
Slept with the window closed - it was generally quite quiet.

There was a spare third pillow in the closet. Which made me very happy.
There are comfortable tables on wheels next to the bed.
TV-LCD. There is a minibar with drinks.

Wifi is frisky. You have to ask the reception for the password.

From bonuses. There was an ironing board and iron in the closet in the room!
This was very helpful for us.

Since we arrived late, we asked the reception if it was possible to check out late.
We were allowed Late Check-out at 14-00 without additional payment
So breakfast (until 10-00) we slept safely, I can’t say anything about it.
But the reviews say that it is quite good.

By the way, the same number could be extended the next day for 90 euros.

From the hotel you can still take tram 8 to such attractions as the "Church in the Rock" and from it you can walk to the center on foot. Or drive further to Sea life (but we didn’t get there, but according to the map 8, it seems to stop somewhere nearby)
Tram 6 runs in front of the hotel. You have to walk to tram stop 8. It goes in the same place as the bus stop 15.
About it below.
The hotel, of course, has a luggage room where you can leave your things after check-out, walk around the city, pick up your things and go to the ferry.

-----------
Tallink ferry terminal in Tallinn
-----------
The easiest and most convenient way to get there.
We leave the hotel and go to the right. We cross the street after 70 meters to the other side, go forward along the flyover. It goes up, and we pass to the left UNDER the flyover and, coming out from under it, we go to the right.
There is a bus and tram stop there. Bus 15 and 15v.
Walk - 3 minutes from the hotel.
The 15th bus takes 5 minutes to the terminal.
It would seem that you can go there on foot, but I would not advise - everything is dug up there now, it is very problematic to figure out where to go. On the map, the path to the terminal looks like a street along the bay. Pictures of a picturesque embankment are drawn in my head, at the end of which a white ship is waiting for you. Yep, now...
There are some warehouses, absolutely not picturesque, everything is dug up, and this is generally some kind of industrial area.
So the bus is the best solution. Runs on schedule, about once every 15 minutes.

You have to look where the ferries depart from. We chose just the one that sailed from the West Terminal. Baltic Princess.
He sailed at 18-30. In 3.5 hours you are in Tallinn.
It cost 26 euros from the nose. Without a cabin, but it is not very clear why it is needed.
It was convenient for us at this time, because we wanted to take a little walk around the city. And besides, for some reason, the ferry at this time was the cheapest. And so 30-40+ euros. Ferries leave several times a day.

And you don't need to print anything. You need to write down the booking number and code.
You need to arrive at the terminal an hour before departure, they stop letting in 20 minutes before departure.

When you arrive, look at the board at the entrance to your ferry, time and what is your "gate". Everything is like at the airport. You go up to the 2nd floor, there are terminals for self-registration, there is a Russian language (flags in the corner of the screen).
Enter your booking number / code and the terminal spits out a boarding pass and a 10% discount coupon for a taxi in Tallinn (well, you never know).
The ferry is put on about the same pipe-gate as on the plane. I didn't like the pipe. The sun fries - and in it you feel like a cucumber in a greenhouse + you drag things.
The ferry itself is amazing! Although the organization of the landing is somehow strange. You entered and left to yourself. But there is a diagram of the ferry on the elevators. Everything is indicated there.
And there is a big info center. You can go there and find out everything.
In a nutshell, the ferry has everything. Duty-free, restaurants, cafeteria (with normal regular prices, salmon sandwich 5 euros, salad 5 euros, tea 2), buffet, various shops...
Things can be checked in for 1 euro in the luggage room.

You can sit on the promenade decks in the open air, you can sit in the cafeteria, you can sit in a bar where people sing karaoke, you can go shopping. In general, this is some kind of just a shopping center floating on the sea)))
There are special play rooms for children. The beauty! A huge, cheerful, plump white Moomin troll randomly roams around the ferry and flirts with everyone))))
And sailing is very comfortable and pleasant! No pitching.
There is free wifi in the cafeteria! It’s really tight with sockets, but I found one cleverly hidden behind a curtain)))
And what views! ! !
We were glad we chose the evening flight. Sunset is wonderful!
True, the Finns, as usual, are loaded with huge trunks of alcohol and, in general, the people there are very tipsy by the end of the trip - but everything is decent.
All this economy arrives in Tallinn at terminal D, from where it takes 5-7 minutes to walk to the center of Tallinn.
---------------------------------
Summary:
So I can recommend this hotel to everyone who plans to go to Tallinn. It is comfortable and convenient in and of itself. But given the proximity to the terminal - it is what you need.
It is a little far from the city center, so other things being equal, look at other hotels.
Before that we were in Scandic Marski
I left a review about it here.
Nice hotel, best location
But there are some drawbacks.
Radisson, if you do not take into account the location, I liked it more than Scandic

The hotel is very decent, with well-placed management, although the equipment and furnishings of the rooms and premises are no longer the first freshness.
Two receptionists speak excellent Russian.
Despite the fact that we arrived a few hours before check-in, we didn’t have to wait for a room - we were issued cards from the room in a few minutes.
.

ACCOMMODATION: The hotel is located in the historic part of the city, just a few hundred meters from the railway station. The Cathedral is approximately 600 meters away. We got a room on the 7th floor. The room had a 26-inch Philips LCD TV set, a safe, a kettle with accessories, an iron, an ironing board, a trouser press, disposable slippers, a minibar with a very decent selection.
Room furniture is made of environmentally friendly materials. Wi-Fi access cards were issued at the reception. The toilet room is small, but comfortable, with a bathtub. Plumbing company Oras, in a bath with a thermostat - very convenient. From the soap-rylno accessories were present: soap, gel, shampoo and lotion, shower cap.
BREAKFAST:
Breakfast seemed rather weak - no salmon, not even herring in wine sauce. Covered in several halls of the 1st floor. From hot: eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, fried mushrooms. Orange and grapefruit from the Zuko machine. Tomato juice like human - from the package. By default, coffee is served for breakfast - thermoses-jugs of coffee and milk jugs are already served on the tables. The coffee is sour for my taste. Tea bags and empty jugs are displayed next to the boiler.
From cold cuts: regular ham, cheese, fresh tomatoes, fresh and pickled cucumbers, olives, lettuce.
Excellent selection of fruits: oranges, apples, pears, melon, watermelon, canned pineapples and peaches, fruit salad.
There were muesli, delicious pastries and jams.
Loved the homemade yoghurts.
.

SERVICE: Very worthy. Cleaned clean, the staff is not seen or heard.
The sauna for hotel guests is located on the second floor, it works for men / women on time - it's convenient.

RESULT: A very decent hotel. Convenient for travelers to Helsinki by train or plane
