The room in beige and cream colors is spacious and comfortable, everything is thought out and elegant. In the bathroom, bath accessories, bathrobe and slippers.
Large pools with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.
Lots of space for kids, playgrounds. recreation areas, there is a beautiful children's ship.
The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Fanabe beach (on the right side of the hotel) or 15 minutes walk along the promenade to Playa del Duc beach (on the left side). Food buffet, very tasty and exquisite, a lot of vegetables and salads, gazpacho, fish and grilled meat, 5-6 types of side dishes, delicious desserts and very tasty and most importantly natural ice cream. I recommend a very good hotel.
Territory: Large green (although the main area is occupied by buildings).
Location: Good location, close to all necessary leisure activities.
Food: for breakfast and dinner is beyond praise!! ! (although in recent days already "ate").
Service: The staff is polite, no complaints!
Rooms: furniture and plumbing, to put it mildly, a bit old. The room is the most ordinary, although the terrace is super. (As a minus, one can single out a bed on wheels, which every now and then began to ride around the room. )
Cleaning: Daily, although bathrobes were not changed without your request.
Swimming pool: not big, max. depth 1.35 m. The water is salty, but very chlorinated. Sunbeds, of course, do not correspond to 5 * (the simplest plastic one). Towels - as much as you want.
Although if you want to come to lie by the pool by 10.00, you will face a shortage of sunbeds, as 70% of them are empty, but are occupied with towels.
In general, it was a good holiday.
Adviсe:
1. Do not pay for dinner at the tour operator, because the food at the hotel is of high quality, but almost the same. And on the embankment there are a lot of restaurants with a Russian menu, huge portions of the finest food and affordable prices. (We figured - it is more profitable and more varied to have dinner every day in different restaurants).
2. You need to go to the beach, which after leaving the hotel on the right (300 - 400 meters) Playa del Duque, where the sand is whiter and calmer.
Everything is very well thought out and harmonious. In general, for the first time I find myself in a situation where in reality the hotel turned out to be better than in the photo. At the reception, almost all the staff is Russian-speaking. Own access to the beach is an advantage, given that in Tenerife all beaches are municipal. Moreover, the beach was a little away (100-150 m) from the "water entertainment", many restaurants, shops and "movement". Therefore, it was possible to calmly and not hesitate to sunbathe topless. There are several supermarkets within 5 minutes from the hotel, and in restaurants along the beach you can have a very tasty and inexpensive dinner (compared to hotel prices). I was pleasantly surprised by the presence in all restaurants of the Russian menu .
As for excursions, I’ll say right away that I have traveled the whole island: the Teide volcano, Maska Gorge, the old town of Orotava, the Dragon Tree, which is 1000 years old, wine tasting, etc. But the most vivid impressions were from visiting Loro Park (a performance with fur seals, whales, killer whales, parrots - will not leave anyone indifferent) and Siam Park (water park - 100 times better than water parks in Ukraine in all respects and at least 2 times cheaper).
1. Riding on a catamaran - who is not indifferent to whales and dolphins, wants to swim with sea turtles, walk along the ocean along the coast of Tenerife - you are there! The tour includes lunch and drinks. Unlimited drinks, including champagne. When whales (2-3 times larger than dolphins) swim a meter away from you - an unforgettable feeling, swimming with turtles is like in a movie, they do not swim, but fly in the water.
2. Loro park. Many travel agencies include a visit to the park in a sightseeing tour and allocate about 3 hours for it. I don’t know what you can see in Tenerife in one day, and even with a visit to Loro. We spent 6.5 hours in Loro Park and it didn't seem like much. First we watched all the shows (on the advice of Olavi, we immediately went to the first parrot show, and then just quickly switched to others). I advise everyone to follow the same principle, because the breaks between shows are decent and it’s better to watch everything at once, so that later park, and if you want to watch some show a second time. All programs are great! Kittens and killer whales are unique! An aquarium with a glass tunnel, where sharks and manta rays, penguinarium, orchids, flamingos, turtles and alligators, a sea of parrots swim above and around you. Everyone liked it very much!
3. The 1st day of the sightseeing tour included: El Teide and Las Cañ adas, we drove along the old crater, bought tickets and climbed the cable car to the peak (3550m), the views are amazing, the clouds are so far below that it is not clear where the ocean is and where sky. After Olavi showed us Mars - the most beautiful place, where lava and sand of various shades. Then through Santiago del Teide - to Masca (all this with stops at the observation decks). The mask is a pirate village and a beautiful gorge, looking at it you involuntarily imagine how sea robbers were hiding here. Further End of the World and Los Gigantes. Thanks to Olavi, we also bought! In front of our eyes, the fishermen caught a huge moray eel! In general, a 4 GB memory card was barely enough.
4. A day later we went on the 2nd part of our sightseeing tour. It included Candelaria, Santa Cruz (passing through), Las Teresitas, relict forests, La Laguna, Orotava (butterfly park, dragon tree, house with balconies... ), another World's End. All this with a bunch of stops at the most beautiful viewing platforms along the stunning beauty of the mountain road. There is no point in talking in detail - you need to see it. Relic forests, something magical, greenery of an unreal color, bearded mosses on trees with drops of water, silence and you can only hear how drops of water break. An absolute sense of wonder. We decided that if we return to Tenerife, we will definitely go along one of the walking routes of this forest. In general, the memory card was again barely enough!
5. Lemuryatnik and Siam. Lemur coop - an opportunity to hand-feed lemurs, small monkeys. They sit on your shoulders, on your knees, very calm. Sea of positive emotions! Again, on the advice of Olavi and Eike, we went in the morning and for good reason, when we left the park, all the lemurs had already eaten and slept! Siam is a water park, one of the largest in the world - that says it all. Of course, there are a lot of people, but the entertainment is worth it to stand in line!
6. Lanzarotte. The island of 300 dormant volcanoes. I liked the tour very much. The program is as follows: first, a short camel ride around the reserve, then lunch (hearty, but simple) and time for souvenirs in the restaurant shop (this is the only negative point, because the prices there are 2-3 times higher than in other shops. So it's better to buy souvenirs during other stops, but there is not enough time for this. ) After lunch - a tour of the Timanfaya reserve, almost all on the bus, but make small stops for photos. Beauty!! ! Lava of all colors: black, gray, red, purple, thanks to lichens in some places - green. Next, a trip to one of the main attractions of Lanzarote - the cave Cueva de los Verdes (Cueva de Los Verdes). This is the largest lava cave in the world - it stretches for 6 kilometers, some of its halls reach 24 meters wide and 15 meters high. Albino crustaceans also live there (they say that this is the only place on Earth where they live). At 18-45 departure to Tenerife. The tour is really interesting, the volcanic landscape is significantly different from the Teide, the impressions are completely different. I recommend it!!!
Thanks to everyone who had the patience to read to the end. I hope you find something useful and interesting for yourself. If Olavi and Eike visit this forum and read my opus, then once again THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE UNFORGETTABLE REST!!! ! I dare to leave the coordinates of Eike and Olavi eike@tenerifeinfo. eu tel. 34-663-38-42-52, - individual car tours around the island, a lot of valuable tips, tips and interesting stories.
The hotel is quiet, the staff is very friendly.
The rooms are good, everything works, clean linen, very comfortable mattresses. We lived in the Kassandra building - overlooking the pool. The animation is not as active as in Turkey, but everything is very sincere, they play with the children, they have fun.
The hotel is recommended for families with or without children. In any case, they definitely do not interfere with anyone - the territory is large! There were also companies for young and not so young couples. Nearby is the chic Grand Bahia Del Duque 5 de luxe hotel, we went there as if on an excursion, went from the beach, sort of like going to boutiques, and walked there. Walked with open mouths - super level! ))
The beach at Antelia is common, the sand is dark, the water is clean, for example, we took towels from the hotel, quietly carried them in a bag and lay on them - not picky! ))
In general, I came from Tenerife filled with such energy! The climate there is unique, the sun does not burn, but directly envelops and caresses! Pay a little extra for this hotel - you won't regret it!
We lived in an excellent duplex in the Carmen building. The room had everything and even more: Mediterranean-style furniture, two LCD TVs, Internet access, two bathrooms the size of a "Khrushchev" with bathrobes, slippers, all kinds of towels, all kinds of bath accessories up to disposable razors and three types of toilet paper : -). . .
Loggia on the lower and large sun terrace on the upper floors. Change of linen every other day, twice a day (during the siesta and at bedtime, the maid brings sweets and marshmallows), the minibar is free. . .
And now about the cuisine: buffet breakfasts with sparkling, capers, caviar (there is a suspicion that it is not quite real, but protein), jamon, an insane amount of cheeses, bread, pastries, fresh juices, fruits.
Themed dinners - Italian, Spanish, Greek, Mexican, etc. evenings with live music. Every evening a jazz band plays in the bar.
The territory of the hotel is so large and original that it will take more than one day to walk and explore: all kinds of rotundas, patios, fountains, tropical gardens, restaurants and bars. The silence, the singing of priests and the smell of flowers are amazing.
Naturally, there are pools with ocean water, as well as a heated freshwater and children's "puddle" in the mini club. Animators work with children, though only Spaniards and Germans, but the language barrier did not interfere with our child at all, somehow he quickly joined this international kindergarten.
In general, the attitude towards children in the hotel is special among all the staff, very friendly.
The hotel is surrounded by the same five-star hotels and the Plaza del Duc shopping center, so the very good location and proximity to the beach make it even more attractive.
The main contingent is made up of British, Germans and Italians. There are few Russians, there are no Russian-speaking staff at the hotel, but it is quite possible to explain yourself in a mixture of different languages. In addition, our hotel guide is well known at the reception and in case of any misunderstanding they simply call him.
The hotel is completely focused on a relaxing family holiday and older people.
