Great hotel with a beautiful large area! Bars, shops, tennis court, car rental, etc. For children children's pools.
And of course, a huge plus of the hotel is its location and proximity to the sea. We didn’t find any cons, probably the reason for this is our wonderful mood! ))
The food is good. Especially barbecue). The staff is friendly and helpful.
We recommend this hotel. But we didn’t like that these days of “summer” flew by so quickly))))

We chose the city of Playa de Las Americas, on the southern edge of the island, like to keep warm. This is not the first time in Spain, but for the first time on the islands, they used to rest on the Costa Brava and Costa Dorada. This time we decided to try out what ocean water is like. Went with my husband for two weeks. We successfully found a last-minute ticket to the H10 Conquistador hotel on the Natalie Tour website, they have such a Last minute section - and rushed to redeem, since we have a long-term Schengen. The hotel can be said to be urban, but stands in a quiet place. We drove from the airport less than half an hour, I didn’t even have time to doze off. A huge snow-white horseshoe on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The inner territory is protected from the winds. Ten minutes walk to the beach. Municipal beach. Somewhere in the reviews I read about the disadvantage - the lack of a private beach! Weird people! There are no hotel beaches in Spain, they are all public property. )) From the hotel to shops and other entertainment is also within easy reach. At first, we kind of wanted to take a car, but then we changed our minds, walked and rode on the common. transport, yet the island is not the mainland. We took the Junior room, large, freshly renovated, we liked it. Very friendly staff, all around smiles and "Ola, ola, ola! " The first two days after Moscow, it even somehow strained, but then, as always, they relaxed, got involved and also lapped in response. The cleaning is thorough, you could ask the maid to come later if you are busy with something in the room. At the reception they give you the information you want, they gave you a free card. In the same place, sitting on the couch, you can climb through the Wi-Fi in the internet. About food. Breakfast every day with almost the same menu, except that the set of meat and cheese cuts changed, and there was jamon several times. But all two weeks we ate with pleasure, because this menu is very large. Factory and freshly squeezed juices, canteen coffee and from a coffee machine, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacons, natural fruits and fruits in syrup, cereals, pancakes, toast, etc. We usually dined lightly, wonderful beer and a couple of montaditos with shrimps and tuna. And they were having dinner late in the evening, in a city full of bars and other establishments, where you could already taste a wonderful steak, fresh perch from the grill and a glass of red. The most favorite was the Vilaflor restaurant, on the coast, along Andrade Fumer street. They have the tastiest fish they've ever eaten and work to the first star, a chic place. In general, although without much preparation this time we went to rest, but everything went by five points. Spain is wonderful, the Spaniards are beautiful!

And not active consumers of AI and sun loungers, but active travelers who have the most adequate requirements for hotels. At least returning to it in the evening after ten hours of traveling, swimming and climbing rocks, is much more pleasant than in a "drunk" hotel. The audience is respectable, 70% - pensioners, the national composition of pensioners: 30% Germans, 30% British, 30% Spaniards and 10% - all the rest mixed up. A little nuance: for the first time in my life I saw an 80-year-old grandmother in a short dress from Dior))) "Pensioner's" animation turned out to be very useful - it's nice to sit on the sea-view balcony with tired broken legs to opera arias or calm retro music and rioja with Manchego, of course. The interior of the hotel and rooms, let's be honest, is outdated, but clean, tidy, no leaks anywhere, nothing was broken. Settled in three minutes, four elevators, 5th floor, sea-view, "conditionally double" bed on wheels, TV, refrigerator, bedside tables, safe, wardrobe, bathroom at the level, a nice balcony with a table and chairs. Housekeeping - top three: despite the tip, garbage bags and bottles were forgotten, the cleaning schedule was not spotted, because. after breakfast they dumped by car. Car rental - at the reception (a good offer and Russian-speaking employees of the rental company), bicycles - in the same place, tickets to the aqua-loro-jungle parks - in the same place. The food was not impressive, but it is rather from the expectations of more, in general, there is everything and for all tastes. We, as supporters of fitness, also found everything for ourselves. I really liked the location of the hotel: the first line, to the "conditionally sandy" beaches to the right and left a kilometer, running or cycling - 500 meters. Always free parking spaces in front of the hotel, very convenient. To the left of the hotel is a pretentious "five" - you can take pictures against the backdrop of Mercedes (just kidding). There are supermarkets a hundred meters to the right and left, which is a plus. Outlets are also in the access area. By the way, I advise shopping lovers in Santa Cruz (El Corte Inglez) just to ask the price, and look for analogues in Las Americas. We, having left two ticket prices in the shopping center, then a couple of times came across more affordable offers in LA and it was a little annoying)))
The reception staff understands and speaks English, a Russian-speaking employee a day before lunch. They didn’t even look at the piano bar, the pool bar was so, for a C grade. There are always free sunbeds by the pool, although the Germans, out of habit, hang them with towels at 6 in the morning. I saw a children's town out of the corner of my eye, I can't say anything about the presence of children's animation and babysitting services, we went without children.
In general - not a single disappointment, only good memories, I recommend the hotel to sensible people "without kookies" who "rest themselves" and not "rest themselves. "
Happy travels and happy memories!

In the south of the island, where the hotel is located, in the place of Las Americas, exceptional weather always reigns. Here, endless gray sand beaches coexist with all kinds of entertainment (Siam Park, monkey zoo, eagle park, discos and many branded stores).
By the way, my advice: do not try to find out the weather on the island on the Internet before leaving on vacation - when it rains in Santa Cruz, in Las Americas, the sky is blue and the sun is shining. Here, it practically never happens above 30 and below 20 degrees (there are up to 70 microclimatic zones on the island).
The hotel is located almost in the heart of Las Americas in the Santgo Park area, it corresponds to the status of 4 stars, but one can note slightly outdated furniture and the absence of a store with drinks and products, although there are 3 supermarkets a few steps away, the choice is more in the one located in santiago park area 4.
Food at the hotel: as we were told in the Free Time travel agency (by the way, for more than three years, we have been buying tours only there, thanks girls! ): the food is better than in the restaurant. (Hot - pork steaks, several times were from trout, 3 types of fish, chicken, mussels, shrimp, and much more; wine from 8 euros per bottle, freshly squeezed orange juice 3.5, water 2.5, beer 2.5 , ice cream, various desserts, from fruits: grapes, oranges, apples, bananas, pineapples, kiwi). In the mornings (breakfast, like everywhere else, is classic), almost every day there are bottles of champagne in an ice bucket - for free!!!
I recommend trying sauces at the hotel, especially mojo, they are amazing: specially as a souvenir, sets of several types of sauce are sold in stores.
They clean the room every day, there is a hair dryer, a safe (10 euros deposit) and like 2 euros per day, a refrigerator for free, shampoo, soap, gel, toothbrushes, shaving kits, combs, just pick up immediately bring new ones.
The staff are Spaniards, no one speaks Russian, everyone is friendly.
You can rent a bike, right at the hotel 9 euros per person, we rode great all over Las Americas.
Tip: choose a hotel closer to the center, from my point of view, the Conquistador is located in an ideal location (there is no obsessive youth like in Sol Tenerife and Gran Tenerife, not far away, which is what almost all good 5 star hotels sin). Nightlife, shops 5 minutes walk.
For 2 weeks of vacation, we left the island with bewilderment: everything is already so fast?

So report.
My wife and I went to this hotel for our honeymoon.

Outside - a typical high-rise building in a residential area. No expression. Inside - a rather old building with a huge garden or pond. Moreover, it is located in such a way that it is somehow not at all on the way to go there. Therefore, no one goes there, no one looks.
They put us in a small room. Instead of a double bed - two single beds placed side by side. So all night long you fight for survival between the moving beds. An ideal bed for two unfamiliar business travelers, but not for newlyweds in love. View - to the street. The hotel called it "seaview".

On the very first night, around 5 am, we were pleased with the sounds of bottles in the amount of 1000 pieces, poured into the trash can. It was a nightclub across the street, clearing the rubble before closing.
Before that, the air conditioners of the hotel's restaurant had delighted the ear. By the way, all the work of the air conditioner was to produce noise, because they did not cool the air and it was impossible to eat in a restaurant without turning into a sticky stuffed animal. Therefore, we had to stand in line for 20 minutes at the terrace.

Upon learning that we were newlyweds, the reception said that they would inform the "PR department" and offered to wait a couple of days. A couple of days later, the PR aces pleased us with a fabulous gift - a one and a half liter bottle of local water. Thank you for not putting a crust of bread next to me. This is where the special offer ends.

A couple of days later we moved to another room. It was better - the bed was a normal double, there was a radio and a view of the pool (into the courtyard).

The interior of the hotel.
Old doors (those who have seen the Ukraine Hotel in Moscow will understand). Old shabby paths. Faceless gray walls.
The first floor is in marble and pink bar chairs (for some reason it was called Piano bar, although I never heard the piano there).

Rooms and cleaning.
We saw the promised cockroaches only once. Not scared. The shower, despite the threats of other vacationers, also worked well. But there was no shampoo (!!! ). At our request to give shampoo, we were offered to wait a couple of days (like it ran out), but they didn’t give it. But they began to put six bags of shower gel. With a nasty hint - wash what they give. Minibar and refrigerator were missing. When we bought fruit and asked to put it in the refrigerator, we were told that the place in the refrigerator is paid (yes, for God's sake! ), but there is a queue in which we need to stand and in 2-3 days (!!! ) we will put a letter under the door. After 2 days, there was still silence on this issue, and on the third day we were leaving. The bed was changed at random. They changed it once in the “daily” mode, then they got confused and began to change it after 2, then after 3 days.

Reception.
Everyone is smiling, but they do not speak not only Russian, but also decent English. Any phrase more complicated than "Two tea to two" caused the pangs of knowledge.

Restaurant. Feeding is good, the choice is normal. True, in the end the monotony began to tire. As well as the inability of cooks to do anything with shrimp other than fry them in their shells, and with squid other than serve them in the form of battered rings. It pissed me off that there was no drink for dinner—not even water. The waiters hardly speak English. At least one of them knew what a draft beer was (which they didn't have, by the way). The waiters are not trained. By the way, for some reason, a couple of times during dinner, they always broke something. Sometimes they allowed themselves an unpleasant familiarity - almost pushing their hands to a free place. The waiter himself with the speaking surname Pepper, apparently, believed that this was called “embracing”. That from the side of the man I am also not very pleased.

Animation.
Absent as a fact if you are under 70. If more, welcome. There is everything, even the "dance of little ducklings" (except for jokes).

Contingent.
Mostly pensioners and unfortunate youth (unhappy - because they "hit"). Many Russians.

Beach.
Is absent. The shore opposite the beach is littered with UAZ-sized boulders. Only a suicide bomber or an idiot can swim there. The nearest beach is near the Cleopatra Hotel. It takes about 10 minutes to go there, which, however, does not bother.
