Review:

I rested with my son (9 years old) from 17.07. 2013 to 27.07. 2013.

DEPARTURE:

Aeroflot company. Departure from Sheremetyevo, terminal D.
Departure there - strictly a minute to a minute, back - was delayed by 20 minutes. Very pleasant staff on board, good food to choose from, wine was offered to those who wished on the way there. Presents were handed to children on the way there and back.

TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL:

Transfer by Pegasus bus. Approximately 1.5 hours to the hotel, our hotel was the second "on the list". We were at the hotel around 12 noon. The transfer to the hotel and the reception did not come with us. They settled on their own. I was also surprised that the bus driver did not help unload the suitcase, he sat in place.

HOTEL:

I chose a hotel with a European contingent, with good food, exactly in Salou, but not too close to the promenade (to be quieter). Also, when choosing a hotel, I was bribed by the fact that there is an office "Bus Plana" nearby and their own bus stop, which made it possible not to use the inflated excursion services of the tour operator, but to buy excursions at a normal price.

SETTLEMENT:
Check in was quick and they gave us the keys to the room. Receptionist speaks English/German, they don't understand Russian. I immediately paid for the safe. The cost is 1.25 euros per day, plus a deposit of 10 euros, which is returned on the day of departure. I also asked for a refrigerator, but they put me in a queue, because there were no free refrigerators.
What amused me is that, as the receptionist said, they only have 5 refrigerators for the entire hotel. The cost of the refrigerator is 3 euros per day, I paid immediately.

ROOM:

Number 236.
We got a room overlooking the street.
We did not hear much noise, only in the morning the garbage truck, which rumbled with garbage cans, interfered with sleep.
The room has one double bed, two bedside tables, a wardrobe (there were 10 hangers), a beam TV (which we never turned on). There is clearly not enough space for three, but we were alone with a child, so it's fine. The bathroom is decent, instead of a bath - a shower. Everything is clean, the feeling of disgust is not felt.
The bathroom vanity originally contained bath accessories. We did not use any of these, because we prefer to use all our own, so I will not say whether they are replenished or not.
The balcony is of normal size, it has plastic furniture, quite dusty.

INFRASTRUCTURE:
The hotel does not have a territory as such, and it is not needed. Nobody sits in hotels, everyone walks along the streets, by the fountains, or along the promenade.
There is a good playground not far from the hotel.
In the evening, many children gather there, including local ones.
There is also a singing fountain nearby. The fountain show is held daily, starting at 22-00.
Near the hotel there is a pharmacy, many different cafes, shops, "Bus plana" office.

BEACH:

You need to walk 10 minutes to the beach. But it doesn't bother you at all. Leaving the hotel to the right, you need to go to the railway. Then you need to cross the railway, and follow straight to the fountain. The railway is civil - if a train is running, the barrier will not let you through, but otherwise the trains rarely run and the barrier is basically always open.
We walked to the beach on the left side of the port. That is, if you stand facing the sea, then the monument and the port will be on your right hand. I was reluctant to carry an umbrella with me, and I also don’t like to wallow in the sand, so we rented sun loungers under awnings. Cost - 17 euros for 2 sunbeds + awning (or umbrella) per day. Also, the beachboy brings a cabinet.
You can leave for lunch and come back, the main thing is to keep the yellow ticket that the whipboy will write out for you.

The sea is clean in the morning, but from about 10 o'clock in the morning it becomes cloudy, it is not clear WHAT swims and the sea becomes VERY dirty. It is said that this is mud, but something does not look like it. I have a suspicion of "plums" from boats moored in the port, but I can't say for sure. As the guide told us on one of the excursions, there are no blue flag beaches in Salou, and even more so in La Pineda, where Terragona is nearby.
During our stay, there were waves almost every day. For children, the entry into the sea is wonderful - a sandy spit and quite shallow (an adult will be about waist-deep if you move 50-80 meters from the coast).

There are always a lot of people on the beach.
But be careful, they steal on the beach. Before our departure, a bag was stolen from a Russian woman. I do not recommend leaving things unattended, because
Afro-Spaniards constantly walk along the beach, offering their spillikins; different "masseurs"; the so-called "dumb" who put all sorts of rubbish and paper on the sunbed with a request to buy these spillikins and thereby help the dumb, etc. It doesn't cost them anything to take a bag from the sunbed that "lies badly. "

SWIMMING POOL:
There was a swimming pool at the hotel, but we only saw how in the morning people ran to take sunbeds on the sunny side of the pool. We have never swum there, so I can not say anything.

MINI CLUB AND ANIMATION:

We did not go to the Mini Club. But once visited the Mini Disco. It should be noted that the music for the Mini-disco is chosen quite fashionable, that is, not generally accepted and has been for a hundred years already, like the tired Chuku-chuku trains and all sorts of "arm-deputy-deputies". For example, they put on Shakira "Loko loko" and even PSY. By the way, the children really like the latter, and they are very happy to "anneal" it to it : -)
Girls-animators dance on the stage, and children - near the stage, lined up in a semicircle.
Animation is in Spanish and English, they are not translated into Russian.
On the very day of our only visit to the evening animation, after the Mini Disco, the so-called Show with snakes began, which amused us very much. What the show was about: the trainer (if you can call him that at all) took out several snakes in turn, showed each of them, briefly told about each (naturally only in Spanish and English), let the children touch it, and then announced that who wants to take a picture with a snake, can approach him. I just missed the moment, for denyuzhka whether the photo. Most likely for a dime. On this, the whole "show" ended, and did not have time to start : -)
NUTRITION:
We took HB (half board). We had enough, but it should be noted that we are "still the same" eaters (that is, we eat little). Fruit and water were bought at the Mercadona store, which is located near the railway. The prices in the store are reasonable. For example, a kilogram of cherries cost 3.
98 euros, and we took 6 bottles of water for 1 euro. Also, before leaving, they took cheese, jamon, and all sorts of other goodies there : -)

As for the hotel, the food is very good. For breakfast, more modest and always monotonous. For dinner - a lot and tasty, the main dishes changed daily.

Breakfast:
Fried eggs, scrambled eggs with vegetables, fried bacon, "Heinz" type beans in tomato, sometimes sausages, pancakes, homemade and packaged yoghurts, various muesli, sometimes french fries, 2-3 types of cheese, several types of sausages, vegetables (cucumbers and tomatoes ), from greens - only "iceberg", pastries, canned fruits. I really liked the "ribbed" donuts (we called them that) - they always lie where the main dishes are.
Fruit table: watermelon, melon, apples.
For breakfast, drinks are free: yuppie juices from the machine, water, tea, coffee, etc. Champagne is also offered free of charge for breakfast.

Orange fresh - 2 euros.

Dinner:
French fries, country potatoes, several types of meat (very good quality): grilled steaks, meatballs, goulash, fish in an assortment (delicious and boneless), chicken in different interpretations, pickles, pickled mushrooms, somehow there were mussels, zucchini, pasta, fresh vegetables (cucumbers and tomatoes), iceberg lettuce, there were soups (we did not eat), pizza. Several times for dinner there were mussels and snails, but this is not every day.
Fruits: cherries, watermelon, melon, pineapple, peaches, flat peaches, grapes, bananas, apricots, apples, nectarines. All fruits are ripe and juicy.
Drinks at dinner for a fee. The waiter will write out the bill, and at the exit you must pay the bill.
Restaurant staff worked without gloves, sometimes there were unwashed dishes. I had to sort through 2-3 plates. But there were no poisonings, rotaviruses and intestinal infections (which we are scared to death) in the hotel.
MAINTENANCE, SERVICE:
In general, everything is fine.
"Eurosalou" is not "Pullman" or "Four seasons", so I didn't expect something supernatural from him. The waiters are quite polite, actively learning Russian. No preferences based on nationality, everyone is equally kind. Drinks will always be offered, however, dirty dishes are not taken away immediately, but after you finish eating.

Maid - basically changed linen and towels, well, the bathroom was always in order. Washed the floor (I saw it myself). Until 13 o'clock the room was mostly always cleaned. I left tips every day.
I did not like the towels in the room at all - some grayish, as if not washed.

HOTEL GUIDE:
Hotel guide Elena.
Elena held a meeting on the day of arrival - she provided the necessary information, and then talked about the excursions for almost an hour, in fact, she was frankly tired. Information about the time of departure from the hotel was provided in a timely manner.

A LITTLE ABOUT EXCURSIONS:

As I already said, I bought excursions at the "Bus plana" office, which is actually located across the street from the hotel. It employs Russian-speaking Lyudmila and Oleg. The office is open until 22:00.
I bought an excursion to Barcelona, to Montserrat, to the Dali Theatre-Museum, I took tickets for 2 days to Port Aventura.
The prices are democratic.
Many excursions are offered, including to Andorra - 24 euros, to Andorra with a performance of Cirque la Soleil, to Madrid, to Cannes-Nice-Monaco.
