During my last introductory visit to Spain, I noted the Best hotel chain for myself as hotels with a good level of service, excellent food and decent condition of the room stock. And now the next representative of "Best" did not let me down.
The location of the hotel is very good: in the city center, 5 minutes from the city beach and the pedestrian shopping street, 15 minutes from the Mercadona supermarket and 15-20 minutes from the Port Aventura amusement park.
We took two meals a day (HB): breakfast and dinner, but if desired, dinner could be changed for lunch. With all the same desire, you could buy additional meals at the hotel for 16 euros per person. I will not list the set of products, but everything is very tasty. There were blue cheeses and jamon, bacon and fuet, mussels and shrimp… Well, champagne for breakfast)). At the same time, I note that for dinner all drinks (including water) for an additional fee. A bottle of wine, for example, starts at 9.5 euros.
The rooms are in good condition: the furniture is quite new, the plumbing is working, the mini-bar was filled once upon arrival with soft drinks, there is a kettle and a microwave, as well as a free safe.
The hotel area is compact, which is typical for many urban hotels in Spain. It consists of two separate 6-storey buildings, interconnected by a passage. Between the buildings there is an outdoor swimming pool with a children's section. At the end of the second building there is a playground for the smallest tourists.
We did not see animators at the end of the season, but in the evenings there is live music in the lobby and you can even dance to those who like "ZaZO")).
Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, including in the rooms. Somewhere better, somewhere worse, but quite sufficient for calls and social networks. Didn't watch the movies - didn't have time).
In general, I recommend the hotel. Rest satisfied!

Decent hotel for a 4. We went on the advice of friends who were in it in April. The food is decent, the service is friendly. Recently renovated. Hotel site or category Best. The main visitors are the elderly, some young people. There are practically no children, and if there are few. According to the age of the residents, leisure is also organized: they saw loto, some kind of chants.

The main visitors are the elderly, some young people. There are practically no children, and if there are few. According to the age of the residents, leisure is also organized: they saw loto, some kind of chants. We didn't participate because we didn't have time for it. The room was given an apartment, i. e. with a kitchen, but they did not cook. A kettle was brought upon request. Iron with a deposit of 20 euros (we didn’t take it, we bring our own). At the reception there is a girl Zhanna in one shift - she speaks tolerably Russian. The rest was helped out by Google translator. To the sea 5 minutes, to the promenade the same. In 10-15 minutes the famous Port Aventura where we spent an unforgettable two days. To Barcelona 130 km, the same day dedicated. The hotel guide from Anex Tour Maria surprised me with her courtesy and normal attitude, which is rare. Prices for tours, oddly enough, were sometimes lower than those of the local BusPlana. A ticket to Port Aventura is the same price - 60 euros for two days. The hotel is in a convenient location, near the bus stop, Europe Square, the sea. Recommended especially for the elderly or who love silence and the absence of screaming children.

I really liked the hotel. I was with my wife in June 2013. I liked EVERYTHING: location, cuisine, attitude. The main thing is to be positive. If you inflate your nostrils... Learn a couple of words in Spanish and that's all, you are welcome.

Question: why go to a hotel in September if you were already there in January and, judging by the review, you barely survived? And it would not hurt the girl to refresh her knowledge of the Russian language - mistake after mistake. About the hotel: good hotel, there are no bed bugs, cleaning is done daily. The food is varied, everything is delicious, especially pastries. The location is very convenient, the bus station is nearby, to Europe Square, from where all the sightseeing buses depart, three minutes at a leisurely pace. On the way to the beach there is a Russian-speaking travel agency "Putevochka" that can arrange football tickets for you in Barcelona. We rested at the hotel twice - in 2010 and 2012, and the last time we purposefully went to Da Vinci.

Good afternoon! The hotel "Da Vinci Royal 3", in my opinion, does not even pull on 3 stars. Staying at this hotel overshadowed the entire trip, from the service to the terrible food. The tables are bursting with variety, but from this variety I ate only melon and scrambled eggs in the morning, everything else is simply disgusting in taste and execution. But from the very beginning it was not the worst. I begin my story. . . We arrived in the first half of the day and after the flight it was necessary to sleep, after a daytime sleep, some rashes appeared on the body, as small ones swelled up with a terrible itch. At that time, I did not betray much importance to this, a foreign country can be anything. But the next day, again after a daytime sleep, I woke up all bitten, these itchy swellings already covered almost all parts of my body, while it looked like paths consisting of 5-6 bites in one area. After that, my husband and I assumed that these were bed bugs, on the Internet our suspicions were confirmed. After reading a lot of horror stories about this, my husband turned over all the beds and found a bug, it turns out that this is a fairly large scree, the size of a ladybug. After that, we turned to the hotel staff, where we heard almost in a boorish form that they had not had such cases and these were mosquitoes. But we had substantial proof - a bedbug corpse in our bed. The doctor's call finally confirmed all the guesses and fears. We also learned that the case with bedbugs is not an isolated one, but one might even say massive. Hearing how we quarreled with the reception staff, it turned out that the resident of this hotel had also been bitten by bedbugs. At the same time, with all of us, they didn’t even say - sorry. Due to the occupancy of hotels in the area, it was not possible to move and had to agree to another room, which stank of sewage, like the whole hotel. To be honest, the rest in Salou was disappointing, around the bazaar, there are terribly many people everywhere, and the local food is disgusting !! ! It is impossible to get from local establishments not pleasure from food, not aesthetic pleasure!

For four years we have been going to Salou (the child is a fan of Port Aventura), we stop at Da Vinci. I like everything. We do not take meals at the hotel - there is a kitchen in the room, shops and cafes around for every taste. At the same time - relaxing in Catalonia, lounging on the beach and being tied to a scheduled meal in a hotel restaurant? Funny.

We do not take meals at the hotel - there is a kitchen in the room, shops and cafes around for every taste. At the same time - relaxing in Catalonia, lounging on the beach and being tied to a scheduled meal in a hotel restaurant? Funny. We only slept in the room, and sometimes slept during the day. In the morning, at 8 o'clock - at the sea, there are just not very many people there. After breakfast - PortAventura, Tarragona, Reus, Barcelona. . . The choice is a bus (at the station there is always someone who speaks Russian) or an electric train (everything is clear). With myself - a phrasebook, communicated within the limits of the necessary without problems. We noticed that it is very pleasant for the locals - I try to learn their language, give compliments and try to help in every possible way. Well, in the evening - the embankment, or gatherings in a restaurant, or a boat trip. With such a schedule - Da Vinci is what you need. Inexpensive, it is possible to cook by yourself if necessary (a small kitchenette with a full set of dishes, a stove and a small refrigerator). For those who are accustomed to wallow all day "all inclusive" - not here, welcome to Turkey or Egypt. For those who like outdoor activities (the sea is within easy reach, an amusement park, trips to beautiful towns) - here!

Rested with my family for the New Year holidays from 30.12 to 8.02. 2012. review about the hotel ONE NEGATIVE!!!! ! I DO NOT ADVISE!! ! Other than the normal location (for a summer holiday) no. The hotel can be said to be a separate building and to get into the room you need to go across the street, which is most interesting, no tour operator has such details in any description! The kitchen is disgusting, both in terms of food and in terms of dishes (not washed).

The kitchen is disgusting, both in terms of food and in terms of dishes (not washed). Service 2. Housekeeping 2, with the exception of two days, when the young girl was cleaned (removed in good conscience), and the old one.... just took all the money...... Non-Russian speaking staff, guides also have to be desired (Pegasus). The biggest negative was at the New Year's dinner, not only that we were not reprimanded for the tour without paying for it, although we explained that we were eating with the baby, we were assured that this very dinner would be organized for us in the room-FIG !!!!!!! ! Moreover, the New Year's dinner itself was moved to another hotel, and we were offered to take what we want from the evening daily dinner to the room, although this very New Year's dinner cost 300 euros!!!!!! ! The most interesting thing, when we checked in, we noticed that there were a lot of elderly people, in short the hotel was inhabited by pensioners, and the whole evening entertainment program was for them. IN SHORT, JUST NOT DA VINCI!!!!!!! !

Rested together with a young man from 14.08 to 24.08. 2011 and were very pleased!
We went from the travel agency CORAL TRAVEL, the hotel guide TUI - no complaints about the transfer, accommodation - no.
The hotel is located in the center of Salou, the beach is 150 meters maximum, sunbeds were taken on the beach for 4 euros, but in principle there was enough space for those who lay on a towel or special chairs, like folding beds. The sea is clean, warm, the weather pleased us all 10 days of stay)
A little about the hotel itself: we lived in the second building on the 6th floor, the room is good, and did not find anything to complain about))). The only drawback is the elevator, which travels as it pleases, responding priority to external calls, that is, if you need to go to the 6th floor, and someone to the 4th, then the elevator will stop on the 4th, and then it can go back to the ground floor , if someone has already called from below, well, it was rather funny, not annoying at all.
Nutrition. We took only breakfast, completely satisfied, quite varied and champagne for breakfast is still served). We had dinner at restaurants on the embankment, there were no problems with food and communication, they understand English, and many restaurants have a Russian menu.
Swimming pool. Sunbeds in sufficient quantity, the pool was not particularly popular, since there is a beautiful sea nearby, for example, I have never swum in the pool, not a fan.
Animation. As far as I saw, mostly for children: mini miss and mister, mickey mouse and so on, for adults karaoke, I can’t tell you more, because when we returned from walks, it was already over.
Excursions. We went to Terragona, Reus, Barcelona, Figueros (S. Dali Museum-Theater), climbed Mount Montserrat.
Once we were in PortAventura. Tip: in addition to the entrance ticket, take the express (one for the most popular attractions costs 23 euros) or for each attraction the express costs from 4 euros. We tried to defend the usual queue and realized that we were not able, it was simply unrealistically long. By the way, we went to PortAventura on foot, we spent 20 minutes on the road, although there is a bus from McDonald's on the waterfront (on the opposite side).
If you take a tour and the guide will assure you that you can safely leave things on the bus (the driver will close the bus and no one will enter), I do not advise you to blindly believe him, take valuables with you, and shove backpacks or bags away under the seat or up, so as from sad experience, anyone can still enter the bus and the travel agency will not be held responsible for this.
In general, the rest turned out to be unforgettably wonderful, to everyone who has not rested yet, I wish you a great holiday!

We rested at the Best Da Vinchi Royal Hotel from June 11 to June 26.2011. We were satisfied with the hotel.
The sympathetic attitude of the staff to our wishes (maps of neighboring cities, etc. ) made a good impression. About the middle of our stay at the hotel, Russian-speaking employees appeared at the reception and in the dining room.
And now specifically about the pros.
1. The location of the hotel is super. I think you won’t find another opinion on the Internet, because going to the beach is really close: ten steps away from the hotel doors and the sea is a hundred meters ahead. The hotel is located approximately at the level of the middle of Playa de Llevante beach, which is important - there is enough space for everyone, there is no crowding (! ). In terms of noise, the street on which the hotel is located is quite calm, there are no bars or discos nearby. On the way to the beach there is a bus station from which you can go anywhere: to Barcelona for a walk, to Reus for shopping, to Tarragona, Sitges, Cambrils and so on. By the way, it’s better to walk to Cambrils – the chic Jaume I boulevard simply turns into the embankment – and if a couple of kilometers of road doesn’t scare you, then you can walk to the neighboring city of Cambrils and understand how much it loses compared to Salou.
2. The food is good, without any special show-offs (mussels and shrimp were only a couple of times in two weeks), but there is always fried, baked or boiled fish, several options, several types of meat, and most importantly, a couple of types of meat and fish carcasses the chef fries right in front of you on a special stove! Delicious. All sorts of spices and so on and so forth - in large quantities. There is always paella in a huge pan, there are a lot of side dishes, especially lasagna, pasta and baked potatoes. There is also a separate table with national dishes: I recommend vegetable pies, lamb meatballs, etc. They always had pastries in the mornings, and in the evenings cakes, catalan creams, ice cream and a lot of fruits - both in the morning and in the evening. In general, if you like to eat - go to this hotel boldly - you can't go wrong! And if you want to try something specific national - then there are plenty of restaurants on the street where the hotel is located.
3. Room service is at a good level, everything is clean, tidy, if sand has spilled out from the beach towels on the balcony, they clean it, towels are changed often, though soap and shower gels are given out limitedly. The furniture is normal, not old, what is called the kitchen - a stove and a couple of cabinets above it, a sink. I want to note that there are no coffee makers, much less kettles in this “kitchen”. But there are knives, forks, cups, glasses, several types of plates and a corkscrew. The safe in the room is paid, you need to rent a key at the reception, for 2 weeks we got 45 euros. The only downside in my opinion is the lack of a full-length mirror. That is, after shopping in Reus, you won’t be able to see how a new skirt or shorts fit if you are short.
4. With entertainment in the sense of animation, the Spaniards are tight, during our stay there was most often children's animation, some games for Spanish pop music. In terms of listening to their songs - quite, but watching, of course, is not interesting. Several times they organized noisy parties with karaoke, large screens on which clips were shown, and so on. In general, it seemed that they tried very hard to entertain people, and indeed, everything was nice and pleasant, especially after a day at the beach. By the way, if your windows overlook the pool, you will have to at least listen to the animation in any case - even with the balcony tightly closed, it is loud enough. But all the music is turned off at about 11:45 pm, so if you are not a fan of falling asleep at 10 pm, you don’t have to worry about this issue at all.
5. The city of Salou is just great! To the left of the hotel entrance, through a couple of street intersections with souvenirs and things, in front of the hotel in front of the beach, Haume I Boulevard, all streets are perpendicular, it’s hard to get lost. There are a lot of illuminated fountains on the embankment, sometimes there is even a mini-show of fountains like in Barcelona, but using a laser.
I didn't see any major downsides to the hotel. It happened that they asked to pay for drinks at dinner immediately after they brought them - so do not forget your wallet for dinner. Sometimes the soap was not reported to us when it was over.
Well, I think these are all trifles compared to what you will: a) walk close to the beach; b) close to buses (to the train is also close); c) clean and pleasant in the room (plus a large balcony with thick partitions between the rooms); d) tasty and varied food.
So I recommend this hotel to those who want to have a nice and good holiday in Spain.
