As for the hotel, it's generally great. I didn't even expect. Cleanliness, room decor - all flawless. By the way, we had a huge French bed - nice. The bathroom is spacious, hair dryer, shampoos, shower gels, everything was there. The only thing is the sockets. But then again, I got ready and took tees with me, because we were carrying two phones, tablets, a player, plus sometimes I wanted to turn on the TV - all this required electricity. Another small problem is the lack of drying on the balcony. I took clothespins with me, and fastened bathing towels right on the balcony railing. True, my clothespins were, to put it mildly, frail, and half fell apart at the first light wind blower, but no things flew overboard, and that's good.
The buffet is generally a separate conversation... We took breakfast and dinner. I got to dessert on the third day... Simply because it was so delicious that I could no longer cram a crumb into myself! : ) But then again, I'm sooo picky about food. I was especially pleased with national dishes and a huge amount of fish and seafood. Fruit was in abundance. In general, both I and my boyfriend were very satisfied. As for paid drinks at dinner, well, yes, there is. We ordered sangria, for two glasses it was 7.80, and given that we hardly spent any money on snacks, except for fruit and water, this is not such a big expense. Moreover, it is very tasty.
We took a safe-20 euros, and left 10 as a deposit. We didn’t need a refrigerator, if we bought something, we ate and drank it right away.
The hotel had two pools, but we never swam there, but we came to the sea : )
There is nothing much to see in the city itself, except for a stroll through the souvenir shops and some shops.
As for excursions, the tour, of course, offers the widest choice of them, for every taste and budget. We did not dare to go to Barcelona on our own (which I regret very much !!!! ), and bought 2 excursions - sports and shopping and monumental Barcelona. Personally, before leaving, I thoroughly studied the entire history of the city and all the main attractions, so that later I could visually consolidate my knowledge. And in the end, everything was clear, simple and understandable, although some complained about the abundance of information . . There is probably no point in writing about the beauty and incredible attractiveness of the city, and everything is so clear. We did not issue tax free, although up to 18 percent (VAT) could be returned at the airport for purchases, and many did so. To be honest, we just felt sorry for the time for all these checks. And by the way, el court ingles is very expensive, the leading brands are collected there, and the prices are appropriate. I liked the lilla diagonal shopping center, a lot of democratic brands.
Only one thing overshadowed the rest... on the second day in a wok cafe, which is near the carefour, my purse with a phone, camera and expensive earrings was stolen from me. It just so happened that everything was there : ( They steal terribly there, they even told how gold chains were torn off their necks. Or a beautiful girl gives you a flower, for the minimum price, and while you are rummaging through coins, strong guys run up to you and tear out your wallet So you have to be extremely careful and careful.
But those impressions and emotions that I brought home are more expensive than all things, and if there is an opportunity, I will definitely return to these wonderful lands, which I wish you with all my heart!
And so, the hotel is located in the town of Santa Susanna, right in the center of the main promenade alley. Unlike habitually "stumbled" close hotels, our "neighbors" did not bother us. On the one hand, there is a huge swimming pool built in 2011, if I am not mistaken. On the other (where our windows went out) there is a neighboring hotel. Don Angel is higher than it, so we lived well on the 5th floor and no one interfered.
The room is quite spacious, clean and comfortable. Large bed, plasma TV, wardrobe, bedside tables, etc. Unlike most "treshek", in Angela there is wifi in the rooms. From the window, in addition to the neighboring hotel, there was also a view of the sea and the whole area. The room was cleaned every day, the towels were changed often. But you need to leave them on the floor, although sometimes they were changed without it.
There was a rather friendly Russian-speaking woman at the reception almost every day. In principle, I have no comments about the hotel. But you need to understand that this is not Egypt with all inclusive. It makes no sense to go to Spain just to lie in a hotel when there is so much beauty around!
Now about the restaurant. We had half board, did not want to be attached to the hotel, but rather try something local.
I must say right away that I am a strict vegetarian and do not eat anything of animal origin, but even I did not go hungry. Especially in the evening. Everything is delicious and there is a lot of everything. A lot of fruits, vegetables, meat, side dishes, all kinds of blue cheeses, etc. It seems to me that there is nothing to complain about. At breakfast, also, if you are omnivorous : ) Otherwise, a salad is in your hands, and a bun and tea in addition. Pleased with orange juice in the morning. At dinner, drinks were paid, but they were sold only in bottles (water or wine, mostly). All in all, I give it a 5 for the food.
In the immediate vicinity there are other hotels, endless cafes, shops, disco, etc. But I advise you to shop at the Carrefour shopping center, where there is a hypermarket, and clothes / shoes / jewelry stores... You can buy a lot of things at very affordable prices. There is also a Nu Wok establishment, where on weekdays the buffet costs 9.50 euros for everything Whatever you want. And there are sooo many things! Especially suitable for seafood lovers. You won't get anywhere else for that price, plus a drink. In ordinary cafes, for example, paella will cost the same 10 euros. In general, I highly recommend it.
Another literally 5 minutes walk from the hotel is the train station (although it is better to call it a small house with a ticket office). There you can buy tickets to Barcelona or wherever you want. Tickets to Barca and back are around 8 euros per person, but it’s better to take a Bas tourist (about 25 euros), then train tickets will already be included in the price. main attractions. Ride at least all day, at your service are three lines with different routes, on which you will be provided with maps and headphones to listen to an audio tour (available in Russian). But a day was not enough for us to visit Barç a. She is great and beautiful. Santa Susanna is just a little village compared to it, but still so cozy, especially in the evening when the whole Promenade street is dotted with stalls, and people from all over the world go out for a walk, and you hear so many different languages around.
That's suffered, so suffered : ) In general, I will answer any questions, but for now that's all. I advise everyone to go to Santa Susanna, to the hotel Don Angel, just be careful with the treacherous Spanish sun, you can get very burned!
Every evening there were performances at the hotel, aerobics by the pool during the day, etc. The food was excellent, for breakfast there was always freshly squeezed juice (not diluted powder), cappuccino, champagne. In addition, an excellent grill menu, a lot of side salads. They cook delicious and a very large assortment of fruits - melons, grapes, watermelons, kiwi, pineapples, etc. I have never seen queues in a restaurant, the staff was very polite. The hotel has excellent pools, jacuzzi, massage area. There are not many people, the hotel itself is quiet, the music does not rattle until the morning, drunk tourists do not yell under the windows. There are a lot of elderly people, so whoever goes for parties in the hotel itself you will not find this, you will have to walk along the promenade to the nearest disco. However, as a family vacationing with a 6 year old daughter, this was exactly what we needed. Before departure, for those 10 people who flew to Kyiv at 4 in the morning, they opened a canteen and fed breakfast. Another big plus in the room was wifi with excellent speed.
Near the hotel there is a small train station where you can take the train to Barcelona. If you buy a combined ticket "renfe + bus turistik Barcelona" you get a free ride. Beneficial in general. The holiday was a success, thanks to everyone who took part in this.
