First of all, the minimum price with half board. Dinner is great (like home). The staff is normal. The sea is almost, near the rooftop pool with bar. From the balcony a beautiful view of the sea and the city. The reception is excellent. Hot water constantly. In the bar the prices are not higher than in the city, there are cool shops nearby, including several supermarkets.

THE HOTEL IS VALID FOR PRICE AND QUALITY. Traveled with newlywed children. This was our first holiday in Europe. The hotel is modest, for economical tourists, corresponds to the "Price-quality" indicator. We arrived early in the morning around 8.30 am. Traveled with newlywed children. This was our first holiday in Europe. The hotel is modest, for economical tourists, corresponds to the "Price-quality" indicator.
We arrived early in the morning around 8.30 am. We left our suitcases at the Reception and went for a walk around the city, since check-in at the hotel starts around 2.00 pm. While walking, we had breakfast and found a Markedonu supermarket. This supermarket used to be close to the hotel, but we were unlucky, it moved 4 days before our arrival. Walk to it for about 30 minutes.
Hotel Continental is located next to Plaza Catalunya. It hosts events almost every evening. There is also a sports bar nearby. We dined at different cafes in the city, but we liked the Sports Bar the most. It has the cheapest prices for food. There is also good Wi-Fi.
When we arrived at the check-in, I said hello and met Angela in Spanish, she liked us, and therefore we got 2 double rooms side by side (although I had paid for a single room). The rooms were in a quiet part of the hotel, although the balconies overlooked the wall of the neighboring hotel. but since we only spent the night there, we were not embarrassed. The soundproofing in the rooms is really bad, so bring ear plugs. The rooms are clean, bed linen and towels are clean. towels changed every day.
Meals: breakfasts and dinners at the hotel are of the same type. Breakfast starts to get boring already for 3-4 days. for breakfast they give croissants, bread, 2-3 types of sausage, 2-3 types of cheese. coffee from the machine, jam, milk, breakfast cereals. my children did not appreciate the sausage and cheese, I ate. Dinners were richer. For dinner, 2 types of broth or soup, 2 types of side dishes, mostly rice or pasta, sometimes stewed potatoes.
, stew or fish and fish or meat nuggets, chopped tomatoes and cucumbers, 2 types of ice cream, 2 types of fruits, mainly peaches, apples and pears, two times gave watermelon. Dinner at the hotel is unusual for us. There you need to go to the dining room within 15 minutes from 19.15 to 19.30. Once we were really late for 15 minutes, they let us in without any problems. True, it was September, and the tourists were no longer like summer. Behind each room there is a table, at which we dined throughout the holiday.
The beach, they say, was close to 5 minutes walk, but we chose the central beach near the railway station, it took about 15 minutes to walk to it. a beach with coarse sand, the sea is clean, but the sunset is sharp 2-3 meters and the water is up to the chest for an adult.
In general, we were satisfied with the hotel. For the money he is very good.

We really did not like this hotel and generally spoiled the whole impression of Spain. I do not know who can write positive reviews about him. Personally, I have the impression that the hotel has its rating thanks to the reviews written by the staff of Natalie Tours. Which are simple, excuse me for such a word, but you can’t pick up another - they put their clients in it.

Personally, I have the impression that the hotel has its rating thanks to the reviews written by the staff of Natalie Tours. Which are simple, excuse me for such a word, but you can’t pick up another - they put their clients in it. Special greetings to them! We were not the only tourists who ended up in this hotel not of their own free will, but thanks to the tour operator. The cleaning in the room is bad. I'm not talking about furniture, for 2 stars it will do, but the beds!! ! Of course there is no air conditioning, we didn’t need it in September, but I don’t envy those who will be there in the heat. You can really take a fan for 3 euros per day. Internet at the same cost. Taking advantage of the fact that there are no refrigerators either, they even sell ice in the bar for 1 euro! The food is tasteless! If you are ready to eat the whole vacation for breakfast sandwiches - go ahead. Breakfast consists of cheese, sausage, rolls and cereals. And that's it! Drinks traditionally - tea, coffee (tasteless), very sweet cocoa and juices. Dinners in different ways. Sometimes it's quite decent, sometimes it seems that some kind of semi-finished products. The hotel is urban, without its own territory. There is a pool on the roof, but you can’t bring your own drinks there, because there is a bar. And in the evening it is generally closed. For comparison, in Nha Trang, access to the rooftop pool was 24 hours and no one controlled what they drink and eat there. Close to the sea and railway. . .

In general, the hotel, of course, is miserable: there are no refrigerators, air conditioners, and even TVs in the rooms (however, the latter does not bother at all). There is also no internet access. MINUSES: Beds are short. With my height of 177 cm, the feet hang down, which is annoying. I solved the problem by pushing two beds together and lying diagonally: it works great, but I lived alone.

Beds are short. With my height of 177 cm, the feet hang down, which is annoying. I solved the problem by pushing two beds together and lying diagonally: it works great, but I lived alone. But what about, for example, tall couples?
The walls, and especially the doors, are "cardboard". This means that if at night someone walks along the corridor and talks to his companion, you, being in the room, feel as if your door is wide open - I myself sat down on such a betrayal several times, and went to check. But in all cases the door was locked.
Speaking of castles. The door is locked with one turn of the key. Not a single surveillance camera is not only in the hotel, but also at the entrance to the hotel - I asked the concierge and personally checked. At the reception, the guests put the keys in a wicker box made of straw, which constantly stands on the counter. Theoretically, if desired, anyone can take someone else's key from there and not noticed by anyone, get up and open your number. You can also intentionally or accidentally make a mistake, and you will be given someone else's key. However, if you give the keys directly to the concierge, she will hang them on a carnation on the opposite wall in the appropriate box in front of you. If you live in a hotel for more than a week, the woman will remember you and give you the keys to your room without a word.
I would not say that the Russians in the hotel are biased, as some of my "roommates" on the "Continental" complained. If you cannot connect two words at least in English, while being in Europe, get drunk every evening in the trash, have an unfriendly facial expression typical of many Russian fellow citizens - what kind of attitude do you expect, especially in two "stars"?
I was initially placed in a room with a view of the wall painted under the sea and mountains, located just two meters opposite my balcony. I very politely but insistently asked to be relocated, motivating this request by the fact that living for two weeks with a view of the wall is still hard for the eyes and brain. I smiled, spoke tolerable English, was simply friendly - and they met me halfway: a day later, as soon as another room on the second floor was vacated, they moved it to room 214 overlooking the street. By the way, it’s more noisy there: motorcycles pass under the windows and cars. So if you live a week, it is quite possible to stay in a room overlooking a painted wall two meters from your eyes.
In September, the main contingent of the hotel are German high school students: they are brought in groups of 20-30 people. There is enough food in the dining room for everyone, but it is difficult to expect silence from teenage girls - they want to dance so much! Therefore, on the ground floor, once or twice a week, a disco is arranged for schoolgirls, it lasts exactly until 12 o'clock at night. Keep this in mind: you will definitely not be able to relax and fall asleep at this time.
PROS:
The hotel is fully consistent with its purpose: that is, to spend the night, have breakfast, go to the beach or leave for the whole day, return in the evening and have dinner quite tolerably for a 2 * category - meat, fish, cucumber-tomatoes, "soup of the day", olives. Every evening they gave fruits and ice cream (one name each): watermelon, melon, peaches, pears, nectarines. Drinks, including water, as well as throughout Europe, are paid for dinner.
Not far from the sea: seven to eight minutes of quiet walking. The beach is very wide, the sea is clean, although it can be unclear.
In general, the hotel worked out my money (I went for 14 nights / 15 days from September 14 to 28.2011 for 32 thousand rubles for single occupancy for breakfast / dinner). On the other hand, I had no choice - for these dates, when I needed it, only "Continental" was offered in the package.
I would not go to this hotel again.
