But, due to the fact that the tour had already been bought, there was nowhere to go.
In short, I’ll say right away that this was my first question upon arrival. At the reception, my aunt explained to me that in 23 years of work in this hotel, this is the first situation! The thing is that when people are evicted and leave their suitcases, then it is impossible to identify them later. T. b. on this day, 10-15-20 people can leave, and then they come and take the key to the suitcase room. Those. a stranger can come, take the key and open the room and pick up any suitcase. In person, they do not remember everyone (which is understandable). This, of course, will give little consolation to those people whose suitcases have already been taken away, but still....How many times it has been, for example, in Turkey - the system is the same. And the fact that someone from the street didn’t come in and didn’t arrange a massive theft is just luck... Of course, it’s up to you to decide whether or not to go to this hotel, I just described the situation.
Now to the merits of the hotel itself. Its main disadvantage is its location along a busy road! Therefore, I join the previous reviews that it is better to pay extra 60 euros and take a room on the other side - i. e. overlooking the sea and above, floors from 6.
Another downside is the internet. even at the reception he is very weak. Especially in the evening when everyone wants to get into it.
In general, this is a normal, budget trio. Breakfast, however, is rather poor. In addition to cereals with milk and all sorts of rolls, there is nothing else to eat, but you can drink Cava in the morning : )). But dinners are better! Even seafood is often given. Sometimes every other day, sometimes each one is in salads, then paella, then fish. Meat is no problem at all. Pork in different types.
Children in the hotel itself are boring. because there is no territory and there is no animation for children at all.
Excursions are expensive, so it's better to go everywhere yourself. When we were there, discounts had already begun, so it was easy to get to Barcelona by train - both to see Gaudi's masterpieces and to go shopping.
Also, due to the fact that this is a budget hotel, there are a lot of German youth there. She is definitely noisy. and queues began at the restaurant upon their arrival. But if you want to have a budget vacation in Spain, you can take it.
Have a nice holiday everyone!

We must pay tribute to the organization of the transfer, information, excursions through this tour operator. I would especially like to note and thank the tour guide Arina, a Spaniard by her father. Excellent presentation of the material, a broad outlook, we were lucky that 2 out of 4 excursions to Carcassonne, Girona-Fageras and metro Dali were with her. But alas, on Sunday it is better not to take excursions, we went to the Aquarium and Singing Fountains. The guide was something unintelligible, I didn’t remember her name, it seems she fell asleep herself on the go, built phrases, as if she was at odds with the Russian language, but then she apparently got tired of pretending to be a foreigner, she spoke in a normal language. Yes, and in the Aquarium they just threw us, see for yourself, there was no excursion in it. The hotel is ordinary, the room is standard, we were lucky, although the hotel is on the second coastline, but the room turned out to be overlooking the sea, it was cleaned daily. Meals: breakfast is the same, for dinner 3 types of meat (pork, beef, turkey, chicken and even a rabbit), fish is either different daily or cooked differently. Side dishes of the same type, there was also enough fruit. For dessert, ice cream, pudding for an amateur. Drinks are paid. If you want to save money, take 3 meals a day, even if you are going on excursions. For 2 we dined for 40 euros (appetizer, main course, drink). In Barç a, fast food cost us 20 euros. We were intimidated all the time that they were stealing, so they were hyping us to rent a safe. Pleasure costs 40 euros with a deposit. When we changed our minds and tried to return the money, we were fed "breakfasts" daily, as a result, I managed to return it only in 4 days, the deposit was not returned to me. Refrigerator and remote control from the air conditioner are also paid - 20 euros. We were lucky that the neighbors were quiet, since there is absolute audibility. There are many "pensioners" in the hotel. The beaches are municipal, there is no obvious garbage, but there are cigarette butts everywhere, and there are no changing rooms. In general, the rest was satisfied

For the first time in Spain with Natalie Tours, we were worried about where we would end up. Settled in the hotel Catalonia 3 * in Calella. Almost everyone loved it! The location is convenient, sea view / picturesque mountain view, refrigerator, TV, air conditioning in the room, a large balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the mountain. We took breakfast and dinner, more than enough to not sit with a lunch tied to the hotel, the food is very varied: meat, seafood, chicken, fish, vegetables, paella, ice cream and fruits (nectarines, peaches, watermelon, melon, plums, cherry plum, tangerines, bananas, apples, pears), etc. Drinks at dinner are paid. Not far from the sea, it's a pleasure to walk, the sea is clean, the beach is beautiful, sunbeds and umbrellas for 3.5 euros. On the 10th floor there is an observation deck with a swimming pool and sun loungers from it a beautiful view of the sea! Cleaned every day, but the floors are not washed. For 10 days we danced 2 times in a flamenco bar and once there was a disco, the wine in the bar is inexpensive but good. Of the minuses: the hotel guide from Natalie Pole Thomas - a boor sits at the Cactus Hotel, at the reception they do not know Russian, but they understand English and always come to the rescue. German teenagers are also resting in the hotel, yelling all night and disturbing sleep, we complained, they were scolded, but it didn’t last long. We went to Barcelona by train, we moved there by metro, we looked at everything in a day. We took 3 excursions from Natalie Tours: Port Aventura (daughter is delighted! ), Girona and the Dali Museum on the way back, wine tasting, sausages, cheese, and Montserrat (there was nothing to do there). Not far away is a street with shops, there are ridiculous prices for both food and things, everything is much cheaper than we didn’t even plan to shop, but we couldn’t resist. The cafe prices are about the same as ours. The seafood is worth a try, very fresh and tasty. It is very convenient to pay with a visa card, they take it almost everywhere. The Internet in the hotel is expensive and stupid, not far from McDonald's there is free, if you have your laptop with you, we found an Internet cafe nearby there, in my opinion, 0.5 euros for 10 minutes. In general, they were very satisfied with the rest, besides paying for the ticket at a minimum.

For Calella, it’s a good hotel, the sea is nearby, away from the railway, you can’t hear it, the main facade overlooks the N2 highway, but there are few cars on this section, the opposite is either to the neighboring hotel (lower floors) or to the sea. We had the 8th floor (the last 9 - there are suites) with a sea view. The hotel was renovated in 2011, everything is clean, fresh. Linen is the same, towels are changed every day, bed every other day. The rooms are large with balconies. The cuisine is excellent, better than in Corfu in 5+, only the choice is small. We took full board, never regretted it, it was a pity to miss dinners. When we had lunch or dinner in other restaurants (from 25 to 60 euros for two with wine), it was always worse. For 21 days, lunches and dinners have never been repeated. Only breakfasts, as everywhere in Spain, are average scall. Cons: no hair dryer, Russian and English TV channels, air conditioning paid 4 euros per day (did not use), safe is paid, I don’t know how much it costs. Rest for 5 even taking into account that Calella is a vacation spot for German teenagers who yell all night long in unison.
