We rested in this hotel from July 28 to August 4.2012. The travel agency offered 3 hotels to choose from Samba, Selvamar and Rosemar. Looking at their appearance, we stopped at Selvamar and were not mistaken! Although the reviews on the hotel were bad... that the food there is not very good, and the towels are not changed, the furniture is old and stuff like that....but, first things first.
We had a flight in the morning, so at 12 o'clock Spanish time we were already there. At the exit from the airport, in addition to the guide, we were also met by palm trees. Already at the sight of this beauty, there was no trace of fatigue left (and after all, we still had to get to Moscow and we didn’t sleep for a whole day, in total) we approached the guide (in fact, there were several of them from our company and for about 15 minutes we found out which one of them will take us to the hotel. He told us the bus number and where it is, we got on it and after some time we went. The road to the hotel took an hour, during which the guide told everything about the history of the country, the rules of conduct and everything And, of course, everyone was staring around as we were driving around Barcelona). At first, some tourists were brought in, and then immediately there was our hotel, so we did not circle for a long time. As soon as he appeared, we immediately liked him, so white and majestic. And much prettier than the box hotels we passed by.
The bus stop is right next to the hotel, so you don't have to go anywhere. The guide said goodbye to us and we ourselves went inside, overcoming a large dazzling white marble staircase. We went to the reception and gave vouchers and we were given a key with the number 217. The employee spoke English and was not very friendly. We walked past the lobby to the elevators and got to our room. First of all, we were interested in the view from the room and the girlfriend rushed to open the curtains and wanted to get out onto the balcony, but she didn’t notice the glass door and hit her forehead well))) but everything was wonderful... the view was of the pool and you could even see the sea in the distance!! ! In a pleasant delight, we quickly changed clothes and went to the sea. The road to the sea takes about 10 minutes, but keep in mind that there are many shops with small things (mattresses 5-10 euros, umbrellas 10-20 euros, towels 5 euros, water 0.60-1.20 euros, 3 peaches we bought for 0.70 euros ). And here we are at the sea! There are not very many people, since it was about 3 hours, the most scorching sun. The beach is small pebbles (or coarse sand). Pleasant tactile sensations. The sea is just amazingly warm. There are no clouds in the sky. We were on the beach until 6. We had to go to the first dinner at the hotel.

Dinner from 19-30 to 21-00. there are not many people if you come to the beginning. But the room itself is very large and there is enough space for everyone, you just won’t have to stand in line. The menu includes fresh vegetables, meat, fish, side dishes (potatoes, vegetable casseroles, french fries), salads, soup (all not tasty), desserts and fresh fruits. Dinner dishes were never repeated except for french fries and fresh vegetables. There was a lot of variety and there is always something new to try. Therefore, we did not understand a little those people who wrote that the food there is monotonous. The same can be said about breakfast. Maybe there were pancakes and scrambled eggs every morning, but the pancakes are so tasty that you can happily eat them every morning. And the softest croissants with cheese and ham). And delicious coffee. And yes, by the way, at dinner you need to buy drinks separately, and for breakfast all inclusive.
After dinner, we planned our first outing into the city. And we just went in a straight line, not having a goal. We quickly reached the center, where there are a lot of shops with clothes, shoes, souvenirs and jewelry. Eyes were all over the place. Hunting was to buy everything at once. But we thought that we would soon go to Barcelona and there is much more choice and prices will be cheaper. We just walked around and looked at everything. Separately, it must be said about the opening hours of stores. They open at 10, then from 13-00 to 17-00 most of them are closed, and from 18-00 to 22-00 they are open again. On the way back, there are many restaurants near the hotel, but we were attracted by a cafe where there was free wi-fi (since it turned out to be paid in the hotel (((). We ordered sangria. oh! this is a divine drink: champagne, juice, ice and pieces of fresh fruit 6.5 euros 1 liter.
There is also sangria on red wine, but it is not so tasty. This is how our first day in Lloret de Mar went.
The next day, we had a meeting with the guide, where you could find out all the information you were interested in and buy tickets for excursions. We bought Gala Dali for 49 euros (for one). On the trail. day at 9-00 we were already waiting for a tour bus with a guide. And we went first to Gala Castle, and then to the Dali Museum. On the way, the guide told the story of their life. Interesting. Then we were taken to shops selling wine, liquor and martinis, sausages and jamon. Everything can be tried. But I think that it was just a waste of time that we would have spent as we are interested. Nevertheless, we bought a bottle of rose wine for 2 euros and a box of truffles for 1.5 euros.

On the third day of our stay in Spain, we decided to go to Barcelona. We went to the bus station, bought tickets for 19 euros round-trip for one. There at 9:00, back at 20:00. There are a lot of people, so it's better to go early. Buses run every hour. The bus arrives at Nord station in Barcelona. We decided to take the subway. Near the station is the Arc de Triomphe metro station. We went down and went to the Lesseps station (tickets are sold by vending machines, somehow everything is divided into zones, we didn’t figure it out and just bought a ticket for one trip - it costs 2 euros), got out and followed the signs to the park (about 15 minutes). The park itself is very bright and beautiful, but we still had so much to do that we decided not to linger. And we went back to the metro and drove to Plaza Catalunya and reached the Sagrada Familia. They also took some pictures there and decided to relax in a cafe, drink beer (1.5-2 euros 0.33 liters). We left La Rambla for dessert))) we thought there were shops, shops, shops and in general a paradise for a shopaholic, but....It's just a street, wide enough, leads to the sea. A lot of things are for sale, and even flowers, but mostly souvenirs, there are no clothing stores (well, or there are, but they are with Turkish-Chinese clothes. The most remarkable thing on this street is living sculptures-statues. You can take pictures with them. But, the soul wanted shopping and we went in search of a shopping center, in the same place somewhere nearby. 4 floors, on each floor there are a lot of shops moving from one to another. The prices are also not cheap, but although we will have this even more expensive. And also discounts up to 60 Then we safely got to the station by metro and went home. We didn’t have time for dinner at the hotel and went to the wok restaurant, next to the bus station. For 14 euros, a buffet of Chinese food, you can choose fresh seafood and they will cook it in front of you, everything is very tasty and unusual.
The rest of the days we went to the sea (which caused a constant smile) and wandered around the shops. Bought a bunch of souvenirs, clothes. But somehow I was not lucky with shoes, a lot of not beautiful leather, but some kind of leather is not very good. A friend bought a leather bag for 45 euros, although the price tag was 80 euros, so they are also bargaining there. )
Oh, and one more thing about changing linens and towels. Towels were changed every day for us, the room was also cleaned every day, and linen after 3 days. We left 1 euro tip.
Maybe the hotel has old furniture, curtains, carpets, but these are all such trifles, because the impressions are made up of delicious sangria, cheap shops, a large portion of paella, refreshing gazpacho, a beautiful view from the window and a gorgeous clear sea……
