Firstly, there are fewer tourists, secondly, the water is clean and does not smell of bleach at all, and thirdly, it is calm and quiet) So, if you get tired of lying on the beach, you can relax around the pool. We immediately chose a hotel only with a pool) It's good that the hotel has restaurants and a bar, you can eat for every taste) We also went to Barcelona on a tour, it was also cool)

We had a great rest at the Esplendid Hotel in Blanes! We flew to the international fireworks festival, which takes place there every year from July 22 to 27 for more than 100 years. The hotel is well located - 2-3 minutes from the bus station, 10-15 minutes walk from the railway station, 10 minutes from the old city center, 4 minutes from the beach. There are no noisy discos around, which pleased. The rooms are clean, albeit not zero, quite spacious, I liked the food in the restaurant, quite 3 stars, about 5 types of fruit (delicious nectarines, plums, melons, watermelons, peaches) for lunch and dinner, breakfasts are typical for Europe. No one went hungry, but enjoyed. Maybe I wanted more variety in the choice of dishes, but this was enough. We were also pleased with cold dinners after 10 pm if you are late for the main dinner (it is available in all hotels). Children of 9 years old loved to make interesting crafts in the hotel's children's club. In total, we rested for 12 days, visited 12 cities in Spain and France, and were satisfied with the rest! I personally did not have enough towels: they gave 2 large and 2 small ones per room. And oddly enough, they were clean and smelled, sort of, nice. All rooms have balconies (table, 2 chairs), but you need to take a clothesline with you.
And they fed very well. The absence of pork was fully compensated by fish, seafood, chicken/turkey and beef/lamb. Pickled cucumbers and Olivier were given for lunch and dinner, every day there were fruits and delicious ice cream. The hotel itself is indeed non-alcoholic, but I have seen used substitutes for ALL alcoholic liquors and drinks. Haven't tried it, but the hotel's sangria is delicious, and my husband liked the beer. I also really enjoyed the delicious coffee at breakfast. A Russian-speaking girl Tala works in the dining room, who was always happy to help us with something.

We brought, as well as took out, fruit from dinner and buns from breakfast neatly folded into a small bag, no one ever made a remark to us (maybe looking at the children).

But in our room the music was not heard, because. the room did not look out onto the hotel courtyard, but onto a street perpendicular to the hotel facade, we were lucky, on this street right under our balcony we parked a rental car, saving on a paid hotel parking, from the balcony we admired a very cozy courtyard of a neighboring hotel, in which, as it seemed to us, no one lived at all.
The only disappointment is the room itself. Not quite big, but not miserable either, the eldest child was given a completely normal 3rd bed, the youngest slept with us, while we were not crowded. With 3 beds, two bedside tables, two chairs, a table, our stroller, it was possible to walk freely in the room. The decor of the room and plumbing reminded me of our local holiday home "Volzhskiye Zori", where I was 20 years ago. There are no hooks-shelves in the bathroom, terribly uncomfortable. There was nothing but liquid soap in the bathroom. Towels were changed every day, those that hung on the balcony, then my husband read that in order to change, we had to put them on the edge of the bath. Bed linen was changed at my reminder. But, since we came to the room only after dinner (and even then not always) and left immediately after breakfast, these conditions suited us perfectly.
