Boutique Taba or Taba Club
Family hotel. Keeps his mistress - Madame Nadia. The staff is unobtrusive, they do not require money (they do not know what is possible, they will feed - they will get used to it). The settlement was on the 1st floor directly with access to the unheated pool - there are two of them in terraced areas (three-story quiet ones all overlooking the pool and a lot of flowers and greenery). Of course, we put in 10 USD, then we found out that no one gave and this did not affect the results. They didn't even want to take our money. The rooms are all standard, quiet, cozy and modest, with paintings and an emphasis on national motifs (combined bathroom, hot water, general air conditioning in the building). Since we were before the May holidays, the hotel was quiet and deserted. No animation, they don’t understand Russian, some speak English (it wasn’t a problem for us, because Russian speakers communicate well with gestures and compromises were always found, and with knowledge of English, everything was decided by the receptionist). The lock on the window-showcase did not work in our room, we put up with it, because. At our request to repair it, they tried to repair it, but it did not work out. We scored it on our own so that we were no longer afraid that our things might be in danger (during our stay, only one girl’s swimsuit was pulled, and even then this was not reliably confirmed... she could have lost it). Thus, the half of the door did not open for anyone, we used the second one. it didn't bother us. because repaired in Russian - tightly.
The sea is nearby, through a tunnel about 10 meters. Sea view of Israel and Jordan. From the rooms to the pools and greenery with flowers (well maintained).

The beach is modest but with fish - they were fed with buns from breakfast and dinner - they were torn out of their hands when swimming over the reef. Attention - almost everywhere there is a reef, which can be crossed in one broken place - the corals are knocked down, or climb through them, we used the second - some of the people sat on the corals, some on the hedgehogs... but this did not frighten us. Behind the reef 5-7 meters from the shore - swim, sand, etc. We all swam around the reef, teasing the fish with food until lunch, after 13-14 pm we went to the pools until the evening (it's 6 pm, and it gets quite cold).
The hotel is good for a quiet holiday, it is possible with children - then the rooms have no beach (not big, but sufficient)
COMPLETELY not suitable for mass arrivals, if you live 10-20 people in a hotel - everything is ok - peace and grace. Companies have fun in a close circle or family, without intersecting and not seeing people at all as on a wild island. When we left home, horror began, the whole hotel drove in - there were not enough plates, food too, towels and rooms - they even began to settle in suites. People are fighting for a place in the sun and food. Banal zoo because of the high density.
The food is mediocre but not bad. You can choose, overeat - no. Water only in the morning, soup for dinner, and even then not always.
Water was overstocked at the bazaar near the Hilton and the post office on the border of Israel - where they went on foot in the evening out of boredom to take a walk, unwind.
At the bazaar, 2 bottles of water - 1 dollar. juice 1-2 dollars per 1 liter, to get to the hotel from 3 pounds to 2 dollars per bus, regardless of the number of people. We bought blocks of water and dragged them to the hotel (they didn’t interfere). Alcohol within 2 days after arrival at the tax-free Hilton (1 store) or at the Israeli border (a store in the Israel-Egypt free zone and 2 stalls at the Egyptian border), where it is slightly cheaper. Cross the border saying that in taxi-free and there is a shop - where there is alcoholic beer - a rarity.

In the same Hilton (which was blown up 2 times) diving center, where you can ride a boat, rent a suit, etc. , Pegasus services were used only for a trip to Cairo. We went to Israel from the hostess - 170 USD (a group of 13 people from our hotel). and were satisfied, because saw Israel and Palestine - and on the way back at the customs point between the Hilton and the boutique, demand blue tickets in your hands, because. if they are not presented, they will try to lower you by 10 c. u. every time it passes (when returning from the Hilton - the border area).
Who stopped in Taba - will not get out of it, and will rest there... but we could go to neighboring hotels right up to the border, and other hotels in Taba were isolated in the steppe-mountains (eg Morgana Azur). without meaning to leave them.
The idea of getting reduced prices for excursions disappeared. There is no way to find local tour operators - the wilderness and complete unity with unfamiliar nature.
On a trip to Moussa Mountain, the hostess threw us up, paying only for the bus, then they knocked money out of her for a ticket of 3 USD (explained - Miss Understanding gave 3 each). But they paid 16 USD for a guide for a group on the mountain - their divorce is local, they muddied money from us, including in the mafia with the tourist police (we were not required to pay). I didn’t want to waste time... and the guide worked the money and regretted that he went to work. Two of our compatriots were afraid that he would run away, grabbed him by the elbows from both sides and rode him up the mountain....and each of them's camel would have cost more... when climbing the guide, they saw only once - he caught up with us in the parking lot in the middle of the mountain and said - that the women are tired, they need help... he was told - he took the money - help and left him to the mercy of fate. in the monastery of Catherine, they were forced to listen to a tour with a Pegasus (the monastery is a purely commercial enterprise)... the Pegasus people also had a hard time - their guide shoved souvenirs in the shop in front of the mousse for an hour, not allowing them to go for a walk, and he said that it was impossible to bargain, and only ask him for prices. They took us successfully, went in a taxi and slept each in their own row - 6 people. bus at 12-14 . . , and we stopped at the bazaar in Nuweiba - fruits, rags, but modestly and little... So we won with the bazaar and the bus, lost a little with nerves . . but saved 3 dollars per snout... mdya....but they slept... and taxied our driver as they wanted and with stops, which you can’t do on a bus for 50 people and a guide chopping money from small things.

You can go to the Hilton for disco and animation, the beach, and even to any hotel, saying that we are looking for cheap excursions. The hotel is not a party hotel. quiet, modest, homely... we were approached at a price of up to 1000 USD. in 10-12 days. no more (last minute). The normal price is 1600, the May arrival is 2500 (I understand the dissatisfaction of people who received average service for this money, etc. ). Good in its category.
you can go to Petra....grandiose... but 220 USD pleasure is not worth it per person... the maximum consumer value is 100-150. to Israel - it is necessary, although VERY tiring. Cairo - why not? some who were satisfied with ATVs (did not have time). we were pleased with the trip for 25 USD by boat from the Hilton to Pharaoh's Island - you pay there like we have a regular boat, but you have to leave your passports as a deposit. although everyone left... and they went with them and the keys to the room, because the border area.
DO NOT BOOK excursions on the first day, hang out and decide everything later.
Don't go there for adventure and partying, women etc. . . you won't find it.
There will be no special frills in food (there was not a single poisoning), fruits (current melon and oranges). Ice cream, beer, etc. for a fee....it seems cheap, but in total it is expensive if you take it at the hotel all the time. hookah - 1.5 c. u. until 12 at night... although the hotel falls asleep at 10... at 12 you can sit on the territory or on the beach in pristine silence. there were no flies and mosquitoes - they poisoned... we saw them once running through the room. once through the tunnel to the beach. there were a couple of times the pilgrimage of ants to the room to the scavenger. . . the cleaners used dichlorvos. helped.
The hotel is good for sports young people - families or companies - so as not to die of boredom alone, or for self-sufficient singles who are ready to live on an island of palms and flowers in the mountains. families probably won’t leave the hotel, they won’t go to the beach either. because there you have to be careful . . (hedgehogs on the shore - you need slippers 4-5 USD in the Hilton). and corals. . . you need a mask and snorkel - corals are modest, but there. like the fish. .

beds were made every day. tried to leave a pound - did not take. made swans in a couple of days - they gave a dollar. they took it (someone didn’t give it at all. someone left it every other day). cleaned up well. there was a TV. everything worked. There was no hair dryer or iron. safe at reception. there was a refrigerator. double bed, comfortable. there were crazy funny cats and about 10 puppies - they are locked up and occasionally walked out so as not to interfere with vacationers. the staff is extremely polite and upholstered Nadia. she is extremely polite and tries to speak her teeth and quietly earn money. all misunderstandings were usually settled in a compromise. there are no special complaints. All bills must be paid in pounds (because what costs 7 pounds or 1.4 dollars will be rounded up to 2 dollars, and what if there are many positions? )
So - a 3.5-star hotel, but with specifics that suited us.
We drove from Pegasus from Odessa, in principle - normally. Didn't interact with the guide. The UIA plane is good, incl. food, not shaking. Although they sat back on the 4th attempt and half the plane rejoiced that they had been in Israel at the Holy Sepulcher... at least they parted with some of their sins. When they left, everything was forgotten, and the Ukrainian border accepted the drunken air passengers and distributed them to their relatives.
