I can say right away: if you are looking for a quiet, not noisy, easy rest and "complete relaxation" - this hotel is just right. Been with my wife from 21.07. 2010 to 31.07. 2010, in Egypt for the first time. We liked everything very, very much, there were actually no shortcomings, and if there were, they were very small, actually tiny, and they did not affect the quality of the rest at all. I also post a few photos that confirm the review, but in fact, in real life everything looks more beautiful 2-3 times than in the pictures.

Some tour operators give it 4* and some 5*. It is difficult to say how many stars there are - but if there are 4, then 4+ is at least. We arrived at the airport in Sharm, unfortunately flights rarely fly to the airport in Taba, so it took 3.5 hours to get to the hotel (this is along with a smoke break and transportation of other tourists).

Very well received at the hotel.

- the main administrator greeted us and ordered the waiter to bring drinks in honor of our arrival (by the way, I was very pleased with the fact that he was constantly present at the hotel and controlled the employees, respectively, the service was always there - the staff had no reason to relax), the owner of the hotel is German, and this palpably;
- only one administrator at the reception speaks Russian (but there have never been any problems in communicating with the rest of the staff);
- quickly issued, the porter took things to the room, which was excellent, but after paying an extra $ 40 (everything is official, they never take it on the paw) we changed the Standard room to Sea View (there is a difference in the view from the room, but no more, plus, sometimes people in a standard room had minor problems with too “cold” temperature of the air conditioner);
- the room is just gorgeous - there was nothing to complain about, and clean (like the rest of the hotel), and everything works, and the furniture is new (the hotel was built in 2009), and no animals came across (all the residents of the hotel were happy with the rooms), every one was cleaned bed linen was changed daily and every two days, and towels were changed every day;
- "art" in the form of figurines from towels, the cleaner did every day;
- at my request, on the wedding anniversary, (for free by the way) they decorated the room with balloons, various flower arrangements, petals on the bed and hanging strips of toilet paper, hearts from towels and brought fruit + soda to the room (everything was very beautiful and festive );
- next to the main building (there is one) they built its continuation, but even when we were in the room, there was no noise from the construction site or the shouting of the working staff;
- the stink from fumigation against flies was never heard.
- Taba, used to belong to Israel, in connection with this there are more checkpoints and there are long distances between hotels (which is good, since there is no feeling of anthills when the hotel is at the hotel and there is more feeling of the sea), since the resort is not so “populated” hotels.
- periodically in the evenings on the terrace there was live music and belly dancing mixed with animation.

Bedouins trade on the beach - very cheap, but check things as they often fade in the sun. Try to change money right at the airport (there are electronic exchangers and there is a lot of time), and bargain / settle in local currency (Egyptian pounds). Bargain everywhere: on boats in a diving club (for two they gave $ 45 instead of 80), and massage (instead of $ 70 they gave $ 35 or $ 40, they took “cooling”, “relaxing” and “coconut peeling”), shops and souvenir shops (weakly traded). There is a playground and a children's section of the pool.
The most important plus - the contingent of the hotel is: 60% Europeans (Italians, Czechs, Germans), 20% Arabs, 20% Russians (and there are no brawlers).

Beach. Fully sandy, no cliffs or descents. There is no Pantone. At the entrance to the sea there are stones, small and not sharp (we didn’t use shoes or slippers at all), you can walk over the stones without any problems, but plus there are paths to quickly enter the sea. The depth starts from 20 meters from the shore. There are no corals or reefs on the shore (solid sand), but they are nearby, you need to swim a little to the right or left of the beach (but there are not very many fish there). As I understand it, this is the specificity of the beaches of Taba. But do not worry: a motor boat operates on the beach, which arranges excursions every day at will - there are a lot of them, but we managed to take only a “journey” to the reefs, to look at the fish. And it was just unforgettable and charming, we still regret that we didn’t go a couple more times.
The tour lasts 3 hours, and it takes about 25 minutes to get there and back. I recommend to everyone. The "boatman" speaks excellent Russian. There is also a massage parlour. Beautiful! You lie right on the seashore, listen to its sounds and they give you a massage, blunder ...Directly from the beach, you can see the mountains in the distance - these are three countries: Israel, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. There are always enough sunbeds.

Restaurant. The food is varied, tasty and high quality. Nothing was ever boring, there was always a choice and there were no cases with queues, or that the dish would end (if it ended, then a fresh portion was brought in a couple of minutes). I do not argue, it happened that the same dishes were repeated for a couple of days in a row - but there were a lot of dishes. Thursday is fish day. There was always meat (chicken or veal), pizza, lots of side dishes and salads, soups and gravies, and a chic selection of sweets and pastries. The restaurant itself and on the terrace are very cozy and comfortable, the hall has air conditioning.
The beach bar is located 20-30 meters from the beach itself, between the pool and the beach. There are drinks, ice cream (VERY tasty), sandwiches and buns. Some tourists they met claimed that their relative, who works as a chef in a decent restaurant, prepares dishes of the same quality (Tanya and Yura, hello to you

Now about what can be attributed to the minuses (I repeat: very tiny minuses). We drove from Pegasus and, of course, their guides (both on excursions and at the hotel) are not very pleasant people, difficult to communicate with and do not really care about tourists. We can safely say that "Pegasovsky" Akhmed is hamlo. But that's what everyone else says in their reviews. The hotel had an electronic currency exchanger (like an ATM) and it rarely worked. This is a minus, BUT informing the administrator about this, he ordered us (free of charge) to be taken by a company car to a nearby hotel (Radison), where a bank branch operates and no problems.
Plus, they also looked at the hotel and poked around in local shops; There is practically no animation there: jumping in the pool to the music in the mornings, and dancing on the terrace in the evenings (just what we wanted), but the day before departure, a new team of animators arrived, who seemed to be more active. There is no way to go out into the city, take a walk, look at the shops, the life of the Arabs, etc. , but again, for security reasons, the administration itself is afraid and warns tourists not to leave the hotel territory unaccompanied. But there has always been such an opportunity - within a 10-minute drive is Taba Heights, where carnivals often take place. Taxi there is about $10. There was no spa. Don't buy anything in the hotel's jewelry store, we screwed up - my wife's silver ring turned black over time. But the bracelet, which I took off the owner’s hand and bought, remained of good quality. They are deceiving.

Hookah is terrible, solid bitterness, costs $2. Do not throw away bottles from the mini-bar, then it will come in handy to draw water from the cooler, which is everywhere (the water is always cold there), and if you change the number, then take the bottles with you - they will always come in handy either for drinking water or teeth to clean / wash your face ( tap water can only wash the body!! ). The staff treats tourists well and there are no complaints - just smile back at them, as they always smile at you. And sometimes say “Salam alaikum” (“Good afternoon”), after that they are very respectful and respectful.

We will not go with Pegasus again, as their employees always make scandals due to the fact that tourists use the services of local guides for excursions. A lot of people went and no problems, but they cost 2 times cheaper than the Pegasus ones! ! !

We strongly do not recommend traveling to Cairo.
The Pegasus guide, the woman Mervat, did not warn anyone about all this.

Have a good rest at the Swiss Inn Drem hotel. Send me an email and I will answer everyone.
