When we arrived at the hotel, we immediately realized that the hotel is the same as a secure facility. Two checkpoints, the territory is fenced, around the desert, and in the distance another hotel. The territory inside the hotel is not bad, I would even say ennobled well. However, there is no entertainment there. We didn't like the animation. every day the same thing, and at a low level. Many Arabs lived in the hotel. Eating next to them is disgusting. Anything that falls on the floor, they pick it up and eat it. their children run around the tables. forever dirty. In the dining room they feed on 3+ or 4-. The food is mostly fried, non-waste production. What was not eaten yesterday will be reworked and taught in a new form today. There was always enough food, which is a plus. I will give the hotel staff a 5. Everyone is ready to help and responsive. However, our guide from Pegasus is a terrible deceiver AHMED NADA. I'm not afraid to say "redneck" breeds tourists on excursions. Especially to Israel and Jordan, because these excursions are expensive on their own (in Pegasus from Sharm El Sheikh $ 420, from Taba via Ahmed (with a discount only for us $ 10) $ 375, and through local we planned to go for $ 290 ). So, I’ll tell you in more detail the technology of intimidating tourists who arrived on a Kyiv-Taba flight: upon arrival at the hotel, the guide requires you to fill out a sheet (see photos), which says that if you travel through another operator, Pegasus does not bear any responsibility for us. further, if a tourist refuses to sign this nonsense, pressure begins on him, they say they steal, kill and rape people here, and you will have problems with visas. Like Pegasus will not settle at the airport and they will not let you through at checkpoints. And in general, they will not let us through the checkpoint, and our guide Ahmed Nada promised to hinder our trip in every possible way. In the end, we gave up. The desire to get on excursions by any means, and to have a normal rest without too much smut took its toll. We took shape on a tour through Pegasus. As a result, upon departure to the airport, people went with us who went on exactly the same excursion, but from a street operator (Ibrahim). They went on a one-day trip to Israel for $100 (Pegasus's trip costs $190). Before the checkpoint, they were told that they might have to run to the border now for some garbage (or a stamp, or something else). However, the control passed normally, and everyone flew out of Taba normally. for those who are especially curious, I will show you a scanned Sinai stamp, which is used to intimidate tourists in Pegasus. I also wanted to note that the guide Larisa in Israel is a woman who is greedy for profit, lingers for a long time in the "cheapest and best souvenirs" store, and took us less on excursions than the guys who went on a one-day excursion to Israel through other operators and with other guides. I also want to note that the city of Taba does not exist. There is a Taba border checkpoint and hotels adjacent to it, but we were far away from there on the outskirts. One more nuance: I never saw what insurance for an excursion to Jordan + Israel is like. That's why I suspect it doesn't exist. . By the way, about the porters: upon arrival at the airport, porters near the bus fly at you, who extort $ 1 for putting the suitcase you brought on the bus. so don't hand anything over to anyone. The hotel has another huge minus: the currency exchange machine does not work. I advise you to go in this case to a nearby hotel (Radisson). There and in the shops, people are more friendly (there are impudent and rednecks here), and the exchanger is like ours (the cashier sits, changes any currency). In any case, I advise you to stock up as much as possible in one-dollar bills. Lastly, I will write about the good. An excellent entrance to the sea for those who cannot swim (50 meters can be walked). The coast is sandy, the entrance to the sea is fortified with stones, but further in the water there is sand immediately. there are no corals in the water, but during a storm I do not advise you to climb into the water. brings strange fish and sea urchins. The staff at the hotel is friendly. I advise you to smile wider to tip. Do not buy slippers - they are quickly torn. It is better to take any Chinese at home. There, the price of slippers is $ 10, and to be honest, I wore them only once in 8 days, and then to swim over the reefs (if you have fins, you don’t need them).
