Located near the borders of the three states of Egypt, Israel and Jordan - Taba is a place where there is no local population, and tourists live in hotels far from each other.
We chose the taboo based on the considerations of visiting Israel. They say that basically everyone gets here in this way, and they did not regret it. Given that we are not in Egypt for the first time, we really liked Taba. No fuss, no noise, and we got the Sol Y Mar Sea Star 4 * hotel.
First impressions: a large room, high ceilings, somehow everything is homely... with their Egyptian bias. From the window of our room you can see the pool, a little higher the sea looks through. On the right are mountain formations, which, with such sparse desert vegetation, constantly, especially in the evening, decorate the picture.

We came to Egypt for the sake of the sea, and here it lived up to all our expectations, warm, fish, in general, everything. We were told to the sea, on foot 250 meters. October - the sun shines gently and a wonderful beach. Umbrellas, sun loungers, exchange of towels is possible. There are few people, the beach is large, there is a volleyball court, where sports time was spent with animators.
At 10.00, a bar began to work on the beach - a second wind opened (they poured everything necessary for relaxation), if desired, a light snack is possible.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were offered in the same restaurant. There was enough food - meat, fish, greens, fruits. If you wanted an aperitif, there was a bar at the entrance. Drinks of their production were enough, poured from the heart.
The contingent of tourists is mixed, many of ours. People every day go on excursions to Jerusalem or Petra, Cairo and Luxor are far away.
Gathered to Israel. Our people have warned - hard. Mentally prepared. Money handed over, you need to go. At 22.00 we left for the border. In 15 minutes they were already there. The Egyptians quickly let us out, some confusion and we realized that we were not yet allowed into Israel. It turned out our visas are valid from 00.00. We waited in the waiting room for about an hour. Order is order. Transition. At about 6:00 we were in Jerusalem, then the temple of the Lord, Palestine, the Dead Sea. In general, it was very interesting. We arrived late. Oh dear hotel! the locals skipped and the hopes for dinner melted like a snowball. We were as hungry as wolves and wanted to prove it to them. They didn’t let us into the restaurant... they brought (for those who were late) packed a couple of buns (I don’t eat bread) and bananas (I liked it) into the room. For those who are going to go there, I will say right away - it's worth it. The money is small, there is an idea of the country. We did not gather in Jordan, there will be a reason to visit Taba again.
As time passed, a warm memory of Sol Y Mar Sea Star remained. If you are going to Israel or Jordan, go here here is a good sea and a relaxing holiday.
