We got to Egypt at the end of April to capture the beginning of the May holidays. We opted for Taba, because we really wanted to go to Israel for 2 days and, if possible, visit Petra.
Miramar was chosen because before that they rested in Sharm at the Hyatt, by analogy: Tabov's Miramar is the former Hyatt. The hotel is disappointing. The difference is like between heaven and earth. Although Miramar is not such an old hotel, the facades of the buildings surprise with faded paint, peeling off in places, the territory is very modest. There is a lot of greenery, but the bushes are not trimmed in places, giving the impression of a rustic hedge.
At the reception they extort money for rooms closer to the sea. As a result, for $ 40 they gave a room in building E. Okay. The furniture in the room is old and ugly. The view from the windows was partially on the sea, so they forgave $40 to the administrator. They cleaned the room well, changed towels, brought cosmetics, the cleaner smiled, was polite. Tip: if you are going to Miramar Taba, be sure to take a tablet or laptop with movies with you. The TV shows terribly, the picture is fuzzy, the cover on the remote control is lost, the batteries fall out.

Now about the good. A beautiful beach, an entrance to the sea through two pontoons, a very decent coral reef, we saw a lot of different fish, my husband saw a moray eel and a turtle. Clean, tidy, enough space for everyone. On the May holidays (the Arabs from also celebrate), many eastern large families with women came in large numbers, who everywhere began to bathe in clothes. It spoiled the holiday feeling a bit. Good thing we already left.
The food is normal, not great, but you can find something to eat. We chose more vegetables and meat dishes, we especially liked the evenings when there was a barbecue for dinner. There are enough pastries and other sweets, I would like more fruit. What I didn’t like the most was that you can’t find packaged juices in the hotel, powder poison is everywhere.
We tried to enjoy our vacation. Excursions were ordered via the Internet from the Intercontinental (there Wi-Fi was free at the reception). The price was cheaper than the guide and slightly lower than other online offers. We went to Israel for 2 days, and then to Petra. We are satisfied with the organization, the guides are wonderful. I was struck by the excellent Russian guide Ahmed in Petra, his love of history and many funny jokes.
To summarize, I note that you can go to the hotel, but do not count on its high level, but proceed from the price. Taba itself we liked, we would like to return again.
