I paid $1450 for a garden view room. For $ 10 and asking for a room closer to the sea (after covid, my legs hurt very much), they gave me a room with a view of the back wall of the house for the staff of the bar near the coast. There are installed ducts with one external unit on the roof for several rooms. I was so glad that we were on the last 3rd floor and people would not be trampling over us that I even thanked the reception for the room, but it turned out to be a big minus the noise from the conder. If you choose the first floor, then it’s also bad, at night they can write off beach towels, which, except on the balcony, have nowhere to dry (there were real cases). Also, the doors and huge gaps through which mosquitoes fly in were a minus, it is better to take a tape to seal or cover yourself with towels at night.
The beach is not cleaned from shells, it is dangerous to walk barefoot (I walked to the northern part along the coast for about 10 km and this was nowhere to be found, even on wild beaches where there are no hotels). The passage to the bridge to the sea opened from 8 o'clock in the morning, so we went to the pontoon of the neighboring hotel, there the passage was not guarded, and the rescuers appeared from 8 in the morning. From 6 in the morning, the sun is already shining normally and it is much more interesting to explore the underwater world on calm water without waves. But it is not customary there to visit the sea so early. Only when you are carried by the current and covered by a wave)) There was also a case on the beach when the baby fell asleep and the sun began to set, the staff next to us rumbled loudly, folding the sunbeds, preventing us from calmly gathering. Also, when leaving the hotel in the early morning, they squeezed dry. rations for the road, only in the round-the-clock lobby bar it was possible to take only a couple of sandwiches, but no one offered this on their own. Although we missed 2 days from our stay at the hotel, there were 6 days out of 8 nights at the hotel, since on the first day we arrived late and settled around 9 pm, and the departure was early in the morning (about 4-30). Of course, there are many more advantages. A hotel with a large green area, everything you need is there: swimming pools (including a children's one for very little ones), a spa, a fitness area, yoga in the morning, a football field, 2 volleyball courts on the beach, archery, table tennis in indoors, a children's room or as they call it - a kids club (from 4 years old you can leave a child under the supervision of educators), every evening children's entertainment, animators during the day by the pool, in the evening after the children, programs for adults, live music, arrobatic dances. The hotel rooms are ordinary, everything is quite comfortable, except for the entrance doors and the noise of the conder. What does not work is quickly repaired, cleaned every day, although we were always clean, towels were changed.
There seems to be enough of everything from food, but there was not enough natural food. Salads are not very good, the meat is also some kind of low-grade (they took only chicken), sausages are completely tasteless. They don’t know how to cook liquid at all, first courses suck. Either puree soup, or tomato soup, or beef broth. Fruit enough, sweet too. Always fresh baked goods. Algogol and cocktails at the bars are always available. There are several feeding chairs for small children. The main restaurant where food is served is divided into smoking and non-smoking areas. Sun loungers on the beach and by the pools are always in excess. The sea is only from the pontoon, from the shore they went up to the knee at most, but they met a moray eel a couple of times, they didn’t roam there with a child. The reef is not the best, it will be better from the neighboring pontoon, but they don’t let strangers in during the day, the fish are equally beautiful everywhere. Not far from the hotel there is a market with fruits and other goods. They also bought very tasty mango fruits home. It is worth noting the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff (if asked). They even did a poll with us on what to improve, and you really feel how our opinion is very important to them (just kidding). According to my impressions, to recommend if you go to hang out with a company, then yes, if a family with children, most likely not. And advice, in no case do not buy a tour from the annex, it will be = how to buy a Mercedes without wheels.

For the most part, we were relaxing by the pool, because. we love silence, and besides us - one or two people, or even no one! ) All bars work: by the pools, on the beach, a snack bar by the beach, next to the reception. BEACH:

This is something. . . We tasted about 30% of the entire range! )) VERY TASTY AND VARIOUS! For breakfast: scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, salads, vegetables, yoghurts, various muesli (with nuts! ), Nutella, a large selection of delicious cheeses, sausages, pastries, fruits. For lunch and dinner: soups, fish, chicken, beef (all in different variations) french fries, pizza, burgers, pasta, seafood: every day squid, there were mussels, the chef cooked pasta with octopus! You can’t list everything... The waiters bring drinks, keep clean, just finished eating - they take the plate. Wine in glasses, other drinks in unbreakable glasses. For dinner, tables are served with tablecloths. A la carte was not even visited, we had enough food in the main restaurant)
ANIMATION:
Every day water polo, volleyball, archery. You can play table tennis, tennis or darts. Yoga and Pilates are held near the beach. Every evening a variety of evening shows! The guys from the animation team are not intrusive, friendly.
However, the daily tradition remains incomprehensible: every day before dinner, the animation team is lined up near the main restaurant for 45 minutes! Managers. waiters, bartenders, cleaners: each of you is a professional and a very nice person! They regularly asked if everything was fine with us, if we needed anything. Then there was lunch in Downtown, of course, it was tastier than breakfast, but while the lunches were in this cafe, they were not bad, but monotonous, the dishes rarely changed. 1 type of meat, fish and poultry. As a side dish, as a rule, rice or pasta and fries. Pieces of 6 salads, 2 types of cakes and pizza. But don't go hungry! And dinner was at Magico...it was something...a mega delicious dish from a Turkish chef, a variety of dishes, side dishes, soups, salads, sweets and more. Dinner completely crossed out the impression of breakfast + lunch! Thank you. By the way, later, when both breakfasts and lunches were in the main Magico restaurant, they became more varied and even tastier somewhere. Delicious cocoa, but very sweet!

please be careful on the steps leading from the pontoon to the sea: the wife on the growths on them in the form of mini corals and shells - she cut her leg, I had a toe, there was a man who got a wound on his chest, again because of the stairs. Be careful, corals may save you from cuts.

Staff. I wrote about the would-be cleaner of the rooms above, this is a fly in the ointment. The rest of the staff is friendly, welcoming and willing to help if needed. This applies to everyone! Bartenders, guys who clean up in restaurants (hello to a young guy Mohammed, Said from Magico, Bartender Mohammed from a relax bar, lifeguard again Mohammed). It's too long to list them all. All really good guys + of course the guys from the reception, who quickly settled us at 8 in the morning. On our previous trips to Sharm, we always settled near Magic World, and walking along the line of hotels in the evening, we always noted the greenness of its territory. … More ▾ In Egypt, we are not the first time. First of all, for us it is an opportunity to disconnect from worries and troubles, an opportunity not to think about work. We value peace and quiet. Therefore, choosing a hotel as a priority for us is the territory, staff and overall comfort of the stay. On our previous trips to Sharm, we always settled near Magic World, and walking along the line of hotels in the evening, we always noted the greenness of its territory. We looked at the terrace of the restaurant and were surprised at the calm atmosphere that reigned there (now we know that it was the Flavor restaurant).
This time we decided to go to Magic World (now the hotel is part of the JAZ network). Everything in order:
1) Settlement. We arrived at the hotel at 7 o'clock in the morning, a small bus took us from the airport, in which we were the only guests of the hotel. At the reception we were offered a welcome drink and were immediately given the keys to the room.
2) Number. The room itself is not very big, but everything is neat. Furniture and plumbing did not raise any questions, although it is clear that they are not exactly new. At first it seemed that the air conditioner did not work very well, but as it turned out later, he just needed to cool the room. Definitely loved the bed and mattress. The dream was just great.
3) Territory. It's just fantastic. The hotel is huge. The whole territory is green, a huge number of palms, and a variety of trees. We tried to choose routes in the shade and I can say that we succeeded quite well.
4) Sea. Those who have previously rested in Nabq know that entering the sea here is possible only from a pontoon, with rare exceptions. For example, at the JAZ Mirabelle hotel, there is an excellent entry into the sea and a beautiful "lagoon" near the coast, but a very, very long pontoon (at the end of which lies a sunken ship). There is also a pontoon of medium length (240 meters) and a good reef with a lot of living creatures. (In a week we saw moray eels, stingrays, lionfish and a huge number of other bright fish). But there is no entry into the sea as such. Consider this when choosing a hotel for families with children.
What remains for last, and in the end, I would like to tell you about what made our vacation truly amazing and unique. These are the two most important components of any hotel in Egypt. It's the food and the staff! And I'll start with the staff.
5) Whatever the hotel is in terms of material and technical base, only the staff can form a general impression of the hotel. So here with this full order! Yes, I understand that we were lucky that there were not many guests in the hotel, and in connection with this, we were fed in Ala Cart restaurants throughout our vacation, but it was a real pleasure! The most beautiful restaurants Flavor, Sofra, Stake House. Attention from the staff - every dinner is something new and incredibly tasty. Every dish! Absolutely everyone! And Bob didn't want to let us go until we had at least a little bit of dessert : ). It is simply impossible to refuse him.
And yes, I almost forgot - animation. It would seem that what can be expected from animation in a hotel designed for 500 people, when there are at most three dozen guests in it? But trust me, it's here! Every evening live saxophonist performance, dance show, Hawaiian party! Everything is very nice, professional, unobtrusive. The guest is always in the spotlight!
I understand that our review turned out to be too laudatory. But believe me, when reality exceeds your expectations so much, it cannot be otherwise!

For our family, Egypt has been a place of common rest for a long time. For 16 years we have seen a lot of different places and hotels. Among them were pompous representatives of large chains and small hotels with the ideology of a family business. According to the precepts of the classic proverb “it's good where we are not”, the main requirement for a place of rest is one thing - a low percentage of the post-Soviet ethnic group to the total number of guests. This is the reason why Magic Life Hotel was chosen by us about 8 years ago. Usually we prefer not to leave reviews about the places where we spend our holidays, but the current situation (which will be discussed below) encourages writing a detailed description.
Our family developed a strong attachment to the Magic Life Hotel after the first visit. This was caused by the following factors:
Wonderfully selected and trained hotel staff. For them, a boorish and familiar attitude towards a guest is unacceptable; equally, from the side of the guest, such behavior will be considered unacceptable and incorrect. Each employee is a professional in his field and tries to complete his task with full dedication, most likely this is due to well-built collective traditions and relationships. Such a judgment can be made based on the fact that the main "backbone" of the administration and "middle-level" employees has remained unchanged for 8 years.
Compliance with the previously announced requirement regarding the percentage. Most of the guests are from the South / West of Europe (also a large percentage are British). The number of Russian-speaking tourists is insignificant, which leads to the fact that the Russian mentality is unfamiliar to the hotel staff, which cannot but rejoice. In addition, I would like to note that the main group of the hotel is middle-aged people or families with adult (14-18 years old) children.
A pleasant bonus for us was the fact that the hotel is completely atypical in terms of landscaping. In short, the hotel contains many different representatives of the flora of different parts of the world, we can’t even imagine how much work and effort was spent on creating such “oasis conditions”. For example, at the time of our last vacation, the number of employees involved in landscape design was about 45 people.
After the first visit, the Magic Life Hotel was chosen by us as a guaranteed quality place to stay, and it remains so for us to this day.
A few changes happened a few years ago when Magic Life was bought out by TUI, after which, from the guest's point of view, there were only a few changes. The first is the name change to TUI Magic Life, the second is the appearance of bracelets when checking into a hotel, which is unpleasant, but not essential. The hotel has gone through a change in senior management as all of Magic Life's management and staff have remained in their positions.
Then came 2020 with covid restrictions. TUI was in financial trouble and the Magic Life Hotel was sold to Jaz. After the sale, the hotel closed for rebranding for about a year. According to stories, a year later, the Jaz administration made the right decision to return all the "old" employees, and as a result, a slightly updated hotel was opened around mid-May. As a matter of fact, from this moment our last visit begins.
For a long time we could not understand what was happening with the hotel, and whether it was possible to visit it. Some sources said that the hotel does not work, others that upon arrival the guest is settled in another hotel. We decided to take the risk and test everything for ourselves by booking the hotel in early June 2021.
All the text below can be summarized in one sentence: the hotel was able to survive the change of top management again, the quality of the rest is still at an incredible level, the hotel staff remained in place and continue to maintain and develop the traditions of this hotel. Now a little more
At the moment the hotel is empty, this is due to the fact that the main target group of the hotel does not have the opportunity to fly to Egypt (closed borders), for 7 days only my family was on the territory. Perhaps someone may be frightened by this state of affairs, but I assure you that there are no prerequisites for fear. From an economic and rational point of view, our vacation should have been deprived of most of the functionality of the hotel, but everything happened exactly the opposite. During these 7 days, we received a concentrated dose of attention from the staff (clarification: at times of normal workload of the hotel, attention to each guest is no worse, but it is logical that in the case of a large number of guests, it is somehow “blurred”). In the event that we were active guests (we prefer a beach holiday), a full-fledged group of activities and evening programs were provided for us, in our case we refused them. In the absence of other guests, we managed to fully learn about the undeniable talents of the head chef, which brought us gastronomic pleasure every day. From the point of view of "ordinary employees" there were no changes, we were still given a competent and appropriate reception. The hotel area continues to be at a level unattainable for most Egyptian hotels in terms of cleanliness, tidiness and landscaping.
If, after reading my description, there is a desire to find out more about the territory, available services and other things, you can open any previously written review about the Magic Life / TUI Magic Life hotel and it will turn out to be relevant, there were no changes for the guest after the rebranding (except for the change of plastic bracelets to more comfortable rubber).
As it was written earlier, each employee, from the junior level to the senior administration, is certainly a professional in his field, but I still want to single out some people, because of which each of our holidays becomes warmer and more long-awaited. I would like to mention Mr. Ali, whom we want to see as soon as possible every time we visit. You can't even imagine a friendlier and more pleasant manager. This man is the life-giving fire and soul of the hotel, we believe that thanks to his hard work, the hotel has maintained the highest quality standards all these years. I would also like to mention Mr. Hamada, thanks to his excellent attitude towards guests and professional management skills, every meal will be at the level of the first and upper class. Regarding gastronomic delights, I would like to express my gratitude to the head chef Mehmed, as well as his sous chefs Farid and Saed. These people are certainly excellent chefs who, thanks to impeccable craftsmanship, presentation and knowledge, will make every meal unforgettable.
