We returned from this hotel on June 25th. In general, the hotel is good. Great food - lots of choice and delicious. Nice staff who really help with issues. At the reception there is a Russian-speaking woman who helps in resolving issues. The hotel rested a lot of Europeans (mostly Germans and Italians) and you can see the hotel holds the level, as for Europeans. But there is one unpleasant nuance that you need to pay attention to. And these are the rooms. If you care what room you will live in, then when buying a tour, be sure to ask the tour agent what type of room will be indicated on your ticket. If they tell you that this is a Double/single saver (these are the numbers we usually sell), then know that the number is very small. For 16 times in Egypt, I have not seen such small numbers, even in triplets. The size of the room is like half of the usual standard. And this is not an exaggeration - 2 single beds stand side by side and there is simply nowhere to push them apart. These rooms are available with and without balconies. In principle, this room would be quite suitable for 1 person, but it’s crowded there for two, there is nowhere to put things. A single saver is even smaller in size. The rooms are well equipped. There is everything but a kettle. As far as I understand, all these small rooms are located on 2 floors in the part of the hotel called Jaz Fanara Residence. This part is located further from the sea and has its own entrance, at the very end of the hotel, which, in principle, no one uses (except for the guard, we never saw anyone there). The territory is common, there is only one restaurant. And although the ticket says Jaz Fanara Resort, ours are usually settled in the Residence. Of course, there are good rooms in the hotel, next to the pool and reception, but mostly foreigners live there.
We were brought to the hotel around 10 am. The bracelets were put on immediately, and the number was given somewhere at one in the afternoon. By the way, when renting a room at 12, the bracelets were not cut off from us (we had a late flight) and it was possible to agree on a beach towel to leave it before leaving the hotel. First, we were given a saver with no balcony. After negotiations at the reception, they gave the same room, but with a balcony. Asked for a larger room, they told me to come the next day. But at the beginning of the night, our air conditioner stopped working, and we were immediately moved to the family room - a 2-room suite with a spacious bathroom. They moved for free. True, we lived at the very end of the hotel and the normal step was 10 minutes to the sea. (the hotel is long and narrow, has the shape of a sausage), but we were satisfied with this room. There were no mosquitoes in our room, but for this we observed one simple rule - do not open windows and doors at sunset and at night. You can ventilate the room only in the morning and afternoon.
There is free Wi-Fi at the reception. It works with varying success, but in principle not bad, better than in the neighboring Reef Oasis Beach. You can buy a local SIM card with the Internet in Il Mercato (Vodafone. 10-15 min walk from the hotel, official point, you need a passport). Opposite Vodafone there is an Orange store.

The beach is located in a bay under the rocks. If you find it difficult to walk up the stairs, then you are not here. There are enough steps. And do not forget that beach towels are issued only at the pool, there are none on the beach. But this bay is perfect for winter and spring, because. almost completely protected from wind and waves. I have vacationed in this bay many times and have never seen the beach closed for swimming. The entrance to the sea is sandy. Great for kids. There is no Pantone and at low tide it can be difficult to get to the depths. The corals in front of the hotel are almost all dead, to see a more beautiful picture, you need to swim to the left to the wooden pantone. There are fish, although every year they become less and less. The beach is not very big, but there was enough space for everyone. There is a nice changing room on the beach. There is no toilet, you have to go up to the pool.
As I said, the food is excellent. The bars make delicious cappuccino and the juice was from packages - guava and tomato.
The hotel has an ATM where you can exchange money. We exchanged at the Old Market. By the way, this is the only exchange we saw. In Naama, there is not a single exchange office left, only ATMs. From the hotel you can walk to the complex 1001 nights (about 10 minutes) and to the shopping street Il Mercato. It was about 40 minutes walk to the market, we took a taxi for 30 pounds 3 people ($ 1 = 17.5 pounds). They went to Naama for 60 pounds.
The tour was bought from TPG, UIA air carrier. Everything was clear, without delay. The weather was hot (we were even a little afraid to go at the end of June). But the heat is dry, easier to bear than a humid climate. In the evening and at night the temp. It was about + 30C, we slept with air conditioning. In the beginning, it was hard during the day, in the heat to climb the stairs from the beach, and then we got used to it.
