My wife and I were traveling with absolutely clear plans for our upcoming holiday in Egypt.
She - diving and snorkeling, I - for objective reasons, only the latter!
The hotel was chosen solely based on the description on the Web and on the reviews of my wife (I recently went with a child and mother-in-law to a hotel of the same chain - Iberotel Makadi Bay), and since we both have a low opinion of Egyptian catering, then, accordingly, the option was chosen "all inclusive" so you don't have to worry about food and drink.
Arrival and check-in happened earlier than predicted, which was a pleasant surprise.
The room had a corridor shape, ie. oblong, but everything you need was there, and (which is important! ) worked properly.
NUTRITION.

There are several places in the hotel, but we, without making a cult out of food, always went to the restaurant of the main building, and for lunch - by the pool. From the variety that was, there was always the food that was to your taste. For some reason, at dinner, as a rule, there were more of them.
ANIMATION.
I went once in the evening, in the so-called. amphitheater.
Some kind of garbage, at the kindergarten level, only instead of children - young sexually mature uncles and aunts!
BEACH.
Figovenky. Small (compared to the neighboring hotel Reef Oasis) and with coarse sand.
In addition, not on the same plane with the hotel, you have to go down and up.
But it was "parallel" to us, because none of us was going to fall on it.
POSSIBILITIES FOR SNORKELING.

Right in the middle between 2 reef options:
on the right (facing the sea) - the beach of the Reef Oasis hotel, with a pontoon.
swim to the reefs, 30-40 meters from the shore or on foot along the coast line 100-150 meters to the pontoon - along it - and flounder, under you 10-15 meters and coral reefs that come to the surface to a depth of 2-3 meters!
on the left - Phanara Beach, with a pier, from which you go into the water.
and here you see a coral wall going 30 and so on. meters deep.
We got to the period of the full moon, when the underwater life is especially active.
As a result, on the very first day we had the pleasure of seeing a huge "toggle" (a triangular stingray with a long and very thin tail) and a 2-meter moray eel, which, like a huge leech, slowly and gracefully moved along the bottom.
By the way, boats with tourists constantly loomed near the indicated areas.
What they paid money for, we are entitled to for free, due to the correct choice of the hotel.

There was a small incident, but in general there were no complaints.
Not ideal, of course, but I will say that this is one of the best 7 Egyptian hotels that I have ever been to.
