Even if it is open, then a strong current will not allow those who are not very good swimmers to swim normally. From the shore, the entrance is only in corals, and at the same time, if the tide is high, then the depth is 1-1.2 m, if the low tide is 0.5 m. Consolation is that even near the shore there are many fish swimming. The wind in summer helps to endure the heat, but in other seasons it can be uncomfortable. The reef itself is very beautiful, with a pontoon of 30m depth, a lot of fish. The beach is large, there were no problems with sunbeds.
Now about the hotel itself.

It is very close to the airport, but takeoffs and landings are not annoying. Distance to Soho - 5 minutes by taxi or minibus, to Naama Bay - 20 minutes. The area is very well maintained and beautiful. You can walk around the territory of all 3 hotels, swim in all pools and use the bars. The pools are good.
You can only eat in the restaurant of your hotel. There is a restaurant a la carte - pre-registration of 7 nights - fish, Japanese, French, Lebanese. Were in the fish (it is right on the shore) - very tasty and good service. Alcohol - no, you can only drink beer. Meals in the main restaurant - you will not be hungry, but the choice is small in all respects. Perhaps these are the consequences of Covid quarantine and they are saving. At first, there were no comments on spices, but at the end there was discomfort from their overabundance. There is delicious coffee at the 24-hour bar near the main restaurant. Ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn for money.
There is animation, in the top five it is more active, but they work in all areas - sports, children and evening programs.
The contingent is half of the Arabs, then Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Belarusians, Russians, a little Europeans. The behavior of some Arabs was annoying - they interfered with the passage on the stairs when entering and descending from the pier. Rooms - a slight deterioration of furniture and repairs is visible, but without critical remarks. There were problems with the air conditioning, they fixed it on the second attempt.
