Good afternoon to everyone who is going to stay in this hotel. I am an experienced tourist, I have already been in Egypt 10 times and in different hotels, so my review should turn out to be objective.

Cataract consists of two hotels: Resort (located across the road from the sea, and to get to the beach you need to walk 300 meters through the territory of the Cataract Layalina hotel, which is really located on the coast) and Layalina (first line). These hotels have a common beach and a beach bar, but you need to take beach towels at your hotel, which is not very convenient and drag them back to your hotel to return in the evening (we rested at the Resort).

Another unpleasant policy of the hotel: the beach opens at 7:00 and closes (specifically kicked out) at 17:00. I understand everything, but also at 17:00 they close the pool in the hotel. Why? There are no dangerous marine reptiles that come out after sunset in the pool. If you didn’t have time to return your towels before 17:00 at your hotel, then in the morning they don’t change them for you.
Hotel policy: I took it in the morning, I passed it in the evening, but I didn’t have time, your problems, you will lie on the salty the next day. We couldn’t change for three days, stupidly didn’t have time to return to the hotel from the beach at 16:55.

A great advantage is the beach (not in terms of the convenience of relaxing on it, but in terms of entering the sea, sandy, gently sloping). The hotel's beach itself (more precisely two) is small, with terrible clumsy, "liquid" umbrellas, which practically do not give shade, so all the bushes near the fence are considered a "VIP zone" and are the first to deal with. Chaise lounges made of "cast iron", not lifting, it is almost impossible to rearrange them on your own, otherwise you will earn a vertebral hernia.

About the territory: Resort is bigger, Layalina is smaller. Separate restaurants, bars, but absolutely free to use both hotels, their infrastructure, because absolutely the same bracelets.

Animation (if you can call it that) is common in the evening at Lailina.
Rooms: we bought 4 *, according to the condition of the rooms, the presence in them (more precisely, without the presence) of the necessary and standard things, this is 3 *. For the first time I have such a room (and as it turned out in all rooms) the absence of an elementary toilet brush. I don’t understand, is it really nice for the cleaner to wash after me? The rooms are very tired. The bed was never changed for 12 days (I never felt that I was going to bed in a clean bed). Towels were also not changed every day, maybe every three days, they were just folded beautifully. Here they are masters of laying out hearts and crocodiles from towels (for tea).

Restaurant: The only good thing about this hotel is their chef. The cuisine is really delicious, every day for lunch and fish and chicken, and for dinner also beef on the grill, pizza ...fruit. I talked with tourists from Layalina, they were less fortunate with the cook, everything is the same, but tasteless. And basically the standard of food.
But they have problems with cleanliness, a catastrophic shortage of glasses, cups, napkins, cutlery.

Drinks are standard, but tea (bags and only black) is handed out individually. I don't understand why, is it a great value? And it’s not very nice when a restaurant worker without gloves takes a bag with his hands and puts it in your fist! Only instant coffee (no machines) You can order Turkish coffee with cardamom from the bartender for $ 1 or Lavatsu from a coffee machine for $ 1.5. So stock up on a kettle and your coffee.

Swimming pool: not big, with a bar and a children's pool. But all the sunbeds are in the sun, so hiding in the shade will not work. There are umbrellas, but there is no shade from them.

This hotel has a problem with drinking water. Upon arrival, they give a 1.5 liter bottle and that's it. There are no coolers, only the bartender behind the counter has access to water. Issued in cups. To get a 0.5L bottle, you have to ask him and humiliate yourself.
Buy a 5-6 l canister of water in your room (1-2$) and you won't depend on the mood of the bartender.

Location: very good, right on the Anamo Bay promenade. I had dinner and went for a walk. And there everything burns, glows, dances. Only ask for rooms overlooking the pool.

Let me summarize. I am not a pretentious tourist, experienced, I don’t need much, I need the necessary. If you prepare well, stock up, a boiler, coffee, soap, a cup, cutlery, a glass, an umbrella from the sun (just kidding), then maybe.

Would I go to this hotel again - no, but directly to this part of Sharm El Sheikh, yes. The sea is suitable for people like me who do not like to dive, but comfortably sour, kids. For lovers of coral and a lot of fish, it will be boring here.
