My vacation didn't start off smoothly, a few days before the flight, my father was in the hospital with a broken ankle, and the vacation was in question. But relatives convinced me that they could manage without me. Yes, and on the day of departure, in a flurry, I left the house in a car, without documents... two hours of communication with traffic cops, a fine-platform... in general, it was an extreme day. But nothing, already at the Boryspil airport, we are quietly waiting for check-in for the flight. We are patiently waiting, in the waiting room we are trying to use free access to the Internet. by wifi. Inet does not go. It's a pity. Either a lot of people have connected, or, as always with us, it’s like there, but it doesn’t work, although I myself saw hanging routers under the ceiling.
Finally announced the registration. As always, our people will be able to create a crowd from scratch. . . Never mind, we'll survive. Check-in went quickly enough, the people around began to undress, preparing for the flight... but this is in vain! Well, Borispol is not equipped with direct access to the plane! On the shuttle-bass, they will slowly bring you to the gangway. . . and the crowd of those who are thirsty for the Egyptian sun, shivering from the cold, runs along the slippery gangway to the plane. The plane is the most common, Airbus, Windrose. Or Donbas Aero, as you like. By the way, those who have flown with this company before will be pleasantly surprised at how the aircraft fleet has been updated! Okay, let's drop the flight. . .
And so, we are in Sinai! Vacation can be said went straight!

At the entrance to the airport, you will immediately be directed to the cash desks of your tour operator... to buy a visa. Moreover, the cost of a visa varies from the greed of the operator. Well, nothing, we were not born today. Knowing that we will not leave Sinai, we put a Sinai stamp, indicating "sinai only" in the emigration card. Those wishing to visit Israel also do not need to buy a visa, a stamp is enough. Although no, maybe you will have a desire to support the economy of Egypt? Then go for a visa!
And so, all the formalities are resolved, we leave the airport, we are looking for our guide, he will tell us the bus number in the parking lot. We smile at everyone! but we do not look into the eyes! Treat people the way you want to be treated!
And so, shortly plying the bus around Sharm, we got to our TIRAN Island. First impressions? Not greasy, although with its own charm. At the reception, after submitting the documents, filling out the guest card, with the smiles of the manager (and ours), we receive the keys to the room. It's strange, the time is far from 14-00, but we are settled. Without any money and tips. Commendable.
And so, in the room. Not big and not small, 20-inch TV, which is not uncommon in hotels, central air conditioning. We used the air conditioner a little, both for heating and for cooling! . Have worked.
The room has a bath, which is very convenient, because in most hotels there is just a shower. Standard minibar, ie our empty refrigerator. In general, you can live. Approximately half an hour after the settlement, there is a knock on the door: the manager is on the threshold, wondering if everything is in order, if everything was pleasant... Praise!
Soon, we just dropped out of life. . . sleeping quietly in our room, skipping dinner. Affected difficult departure and night crossings before departure. Well, nothing, we visited dinner, and again to sleep.
And so, morning, alarm clock at 7-00. It's time to get ready for the holidays! Let's go to breakfast and eat. Eggs, sausages, croissants. . . in general, nothing interesting. As well as at home.

After breakfast, go to the pool, as the sea will be cold. Windy! As the Egyptians themselves said, the weather is not typical for Egypt, but what can you do... after basking in the sun, we decided to go around the hotel. Small, clean as possible in the off-season. The water in the pool is cold, in the sea too. kind of boring. We decided to wait for the evening, the show program. By the way, the show programs every evening, and for the entire holiday, have never been repeated.
Having managed to swim in the pool, I caught a cold! Strongly cold! But nothing, we are taught, we always take antibiotics and cold teas on vacation. Like other medicines, I do not trust them.
We smoothly join the unhurried rhythm of the Tirana. Meet the animation team. By the way, the team is international: ours, the British, the Italian. Very cleverly thought out, since only your own can amuse and interest your people! Music? With a bias towards the Italians a little, but nothing, having opened the bins of the homeland, he took out an external hard drive with music, and gave it to Mr BIG (an animator, an Englishman, a big one, he was always in charge of the mixer). In general, background music is now to our taste! The first few days the weather was not good, so we decided to explore the area! But it wasn't here! I’m used to everything with my legs, and here the hotel is located in a bay where minibuses simply don’t want to call in... Taxi, only taxis, and buses from the reception... But nothing, having examined the Internet, we found more interesting options for moving around Sinai. By the way, there is no Internet in the hotel, therefore, it was decided to buy an Egyptian modem with a number. We went to the Old Town (or OLD MARKET, as they call it), went to the Vodafone store, bought a modem, activated it in front of us, checked the balance. Bargained of course, as without it! The price should be reduced by at least two, and then look at the seller's reaction! By price? Yes, like in Ukraine Kyivstar modem, about 200 UAH, but they also include 800 megabytes of traffic. It's strange, but 320 megabytes was enough for me for the whole vacation, very strange. Well, okay, I advise you to visit the METRO store near the old bazaar, this is not the metro for us, but there are fixed prices, and the Egyptians themselves are there to hang around. Quite acceptable prices. By the way, look at the sausage there, and you will understand why it is so nasty there. Well, they don’t eat it, but for us, they cook it, as they understand. Well, it's time to go to the hotel, it's already late.
Again morning, breakfast, beach. Although the hotel is on the second line, this does not affect visiting the beach at all, and it is even more interesting to walk under the cool sun and breathe fresh air. Who does not like it, wait for the beads on the beach, the benefit goes often.

Life is getting better, the cold passes slowly. By the way, having rummaged through the Internet, I found out that guava, which is served for lunch and dinner, turns out to be the first remedy for a cold! Cooler than a lemon... In general, take a guavka, but not with a matte surface of the pulp, but with a shiny one, this one is riper, and therefore tastier. Cut out the seeds with a knife, and burst like a banana! Tasty. By the way, guava juice with vodka is nothing like that, delicious. One condition: take our vodka! Yes, if you need something not from the hotel's diet, or a toothbrush-shampoo, you can buy it in a nearby market. Come out of the main gate of the hotel, and to the right, about fifteen minutes at a leisurely pace. Remember the Egyptian shark hype? So, to the right of the hotel is the same BARON hotel, from which these very hungry fish started their show. On the way to the market, take a look. . . Leaving the hotel, be sure to take the documents, in a foreign country, after all! Near the market, visit Vova, travel agency ONE TOUR. You will not regret. Do you want to Israel? Then just to him, we took advantage, did not regret it. In addition, take the phone from him, if you need to go to NAAMA BAY or OLD MARKET, then he organizes a bus every evening at 21-00.2 bucks per person in both directions. No, well, you can take a taxi, but a big company on a bus is more interesting!
The weather is getting better, and winter is taking on the appearance of our summer. We spend more time on the beach, play darts with animators, boccia on the beach. In general, rest to the fullest! After a couple of days of staying at the hotel, it was noticed that the food had changed slightly, apparently the chef had changed. The food is generally good, you won’t see crabs here, but you won’t be hungry here for sure! The quality of food is also on top, there were no poisonings for the entire vacation. Just follow the rules of hygiene, the country is hot, with its own rules. Only bottled water, and even brush her teeth. Technical water from the tap!
The hotel's beach is small, but there are enough sunbeds, because the British prefer the pool, the Italians, of course, strive more towards the sea, but not all. If you stand facing the sea, then there is a wild beach on the right, that is, the same as the hotel, but without sun loungers. Beach for children, by the way, not very. In the water from the shore only in shoes, dead corals are very sharp in places, and the Egyptians scream terribly when someone enters the corals. Ie swim only from the pontoon. For children, inflatable sleeves are very useful. or inflatable life jackets. On the beach of the hotel MELIA SINAI there is a rental of masks and fins, but for that price... go to the old market, a mask with a snorkel and fins from $ 10, regardless of quality. Price is not an indicator of quality. In Ukraine, the same ones are sold for 230 UAH. If you don’t feel sorry for the money for professional fins of the mask, if you are professionally immortalized by diving, then buy it in advance, of course. If you do not favor cool sea water, a wetsuit will not hurt, C marks will be enough in January.
Tours? Israel! Monastery of St. Catherine? Interesting, but leave it for the second half of the vacation. It will be cool on the mountain of Moses, warm clothes will not interfere. Warm things - our warm ones, sweater, jacket. . . To the desert on ATVs? It's not impressive, I drive a jeep every day, and the roads in Ukraine are not better. . . To the island of Tiran? The sea is like the sea, the same fish. It is interesting on the bathyscaphe, well, in extreme cases, in a boat with a transparent bottom. Going on excursions, do not forget the documents, and think about your safety! By the way, about safety, for the first time I saw how the Egyptians took care of the safety of the guests of TIRAN ISLAND! The fire extinguishing system, exit signs, evacuation plans, fire extinguishers hang quite often... It was cleverly done, this sign is not by hearsay. Access to the room with a key card, like a credit card, is also very convenient, it does not take up space in your pocket, the risk of losing is small. Is there a safe in the room? A toy. For me, it is no secret, but for most, it is quite a useful thing. Use, do not tempt the staff. By the way, from all the staff, only a couple of waiters were very intrusive, but get used to it. The staff is generally pleasant and not intrusive. The main thing is not to be rude to anyone. Say hello, ask how you are, talk about something, and you will notice how your attitude will improve. Arabs are like children, they need attention and respect, and remember, you are their guest! Treat the locals well and you'll feel right at home!

In general, the hotel is certainly tired, but not because they don’t look after it, but because the operating conditions are like that. The heat does its job all year round. Streamline repairs are carried out imperceptibly for vacationers.
In general, the rest was a success, and this is the merit of the animators, hotel staff, tour operator, air carrier. I didn’t want to fly away from there at all, the weather in Egypt is getting better and better, but in Ukraine it’s cold... In general, I decided for myself that in January the Egyptian weather is not for me, just like in July-August.
