Hello! They returned from the Tiran Island Hotel on January 23.2011, as it turned out, they fled from there in time due to the latest revolutionary actions unfolding there, although, as always, they did not want to fly away. We bought a ticket in October, we were looking forward to it, at first the sharks were misled, but we decided to go and did not regret it at all, we never saw them there. The hotel corresponds to its price, even more, the cost is very reasonable for this class of hotel, maybe because we had an early booking, but a standard double room cost 22500 rubles (~$ 750) for 7 days / 8 nights. It would be possible to put 5 stars if it were not for the distance to the beach at 500m, but it didn’t bother me a bit. I rested with my boyfriend. We flew from Kharkov from Pegas, so there were no delays with departure and arrival. They settled into the room quickly, though with a view of the road, they wanted to move to the pool view, but we were told $ 10 per day for each day of the surcharge, i. e. for 7 days we had to pay $ 70, we refused. Therefore, if you want a good room right away, put money in your passport when you check in right away, then it will be at the rate of the hotel, and not in their pocket. We had a hotel guide from Pegasus, Yuri, a very pleasant young man, polite, tactful, speaks good Russian, he lives in this hotel, so it will not be difficult to find him there, but basically you can always find him at the reception and he will give you any advice.
As for the hotel, the hotel is wonderful, new, chic. I was in Sharm for the fourth time, so I have something to compare. The only negative of the hotel is its far location from the city center of Naama Bay and all the entertainment, but more on that later.
We had food - breakfast, dinner, ie. purple bracelets. We had enough of everything. What they write in the reviews, the men remained hungry, do not believe it, my man loves to eat, preferably meat, put himself large portions and the problem was solved. There is a lot of variety of food, we put plates only for half an hour, and then we ate for an hour. And all inclusive would be generally superfluous for us, with the exception of alcohol, of course, but my boyfriend got out of the situation - our brothers Slavs treated him to alcohol. I didn’t want to eat on the beach at lunchtime, we took sandwiches and fruits from breakfast, we had enough and, again, the Slav brothers helped out with drinks. The food is monotonous: chicken daily, beef sticks were once, fish was often, and on the last day of our stay there were squids. You definitely won't leave hungry. And pastries, sweet, it’s impossible to put into words, everything is fresh, varied, tasty, there were definitely 15 kinds of different cakes and pastries. Of the fruits were oranges, tangerines, melon, guava, bananas. We went to the Old Town for strawberries.

I did not notice the difference between the colors of the bracelets in terms of attitude and service of the staff, everyone was treated equally. For Europeans with red bracelets, the staff occupied the tables, but you could always find a place.
Now about cleaning the room. She is none. They cleaned the room without enthusiasm, probably never even wiped the floor, not to mention the dust on the bedside tables, it remained untouched from the beginning of the arrival to the end, we didn’t care, because. we did not sit in the room, we only slept and washed, so everything suited us. Once I left $ 1, so they blinded us from the pillows of an elephant, and the next day a swan. We had two beds in the room, it was possible to ask to replace the room with one large one, we did not. A very beautiful bath with a large mirror and a bath, not a tray like in other hotels, a hair dryer, a magnifying mirror, and most importantly, there are no interruptions in hot water and very strong pressure at any time of the day. There is a free safe in the room, we kept all the valuables there, but in view of recent events, it probably needs to be guarded in the room, since it will not be difficult to take it away.
Now about trips outside the hotel. As I wrote above, the only disadvantage of this hotel is its remoteness from the city center and all entertainment. And it’s expensive to travel to different entertainment centers every day. The hotel had its own animation every day in the evenings, but it takes about 40 minutes in total and during the day on the beach belly dance and Latino. Tatu huge hello! Cool animator. He teaches belly dance very well and moves great, he will teach any dance with a bang!! ! Master of his craft. So, I got distracted, if you prefer to have fun on the territory of the hotel, then it will not be boring in the evening. I’m not used to sitting in a hotel in the evenings, so every evening we went somewhere by taxi to walk and shop: in Soho Square, in Naama Bay, in the Old Market. These taxi rides are expensive. For souvenirs on the last day we went to the Old Market, because. on the territory of the hotel there is a shop with T-shirts and towels ($ 25 broke) in three ways, and there is also a very arrogant and touchy seller, he saw Arafat and a T-shirt I bought not from him and began to be rude to us all the time, we didn’t visit him again. Bargain with taxi drivers, do not get into their car right away, bring down the price, they will still follow you and give way. In Soho - $ 5 for two one way, Naama Bay we managed for $ 6 for two one way, Old Town (Old Market) - we went for $ 6 to Naama, and then changed to their local blue bass and for 1 pound we drove to the old market, their local one, where everything is cheaper and inferior. A taxi to the Old Market costs $25, so the difference is noticeable.
There is a free bus from the hotel to the sea, but you can cross the road and walk 500 meters in just 5 minutes along the beautiful territory of the Melia Sinai hotel, there are wonderful backgrounds for photos. We entered the territory of this hotel without any problems and climbed onto the lighthouse to take pictures. The sea is wonderful, warm, the pontoon is not long, because of the danger of sharks, I swam with caution, snorkeled a little, the beauty is indescribable. The depth from the pontoon is immediately decent - 20 meters. We fenced off a meter wide from the pontoon in the sea, so we swam near the pontoon, and under the pontoon all the beauty and a huge variety of fish.

Of the excursions were in Cairo, on the pyramids, in the museum, which the Moraders had already plundered, I can’t believe it. You get very tired on the bus and you come to yourself from the excursion for another day. Very little time is allotted for the pyramids, crowds, thousands of tourists, everything is compressed, you don’t even have time to take pictures properly. We drove ATVs through the desert, they recorded a CD with a video for $20. I liked this more than Cairo, although the pyramids are worth seeing at least once. We also went to the popular Dolche Vita disco, waited for a guide at the reception, and a heavy downpour with a thunderstorm began, the lights in the entire hotel went out, streams flowed over the lobby bar. For Egypt, rain is nonsense, it happens once a year, although it was in December 2010. This year it might not be. So we found a miracle of nature. Even then, the desire to go to the disco disappeared, because. it was in the open air, and we were all in summer sandals, we called the sleepy guide Yura from the room, but no one was going to return the money to us, so we had to go. We liked the disco, but it was a bit chilly. The next day it got colder, we did not have a chance to sunbathe, but the next day the weather recovered.
In general, I liked the rest, the hotel is wonderful, they understand Russian at the reception,
the staff is not intrusive, maybe because I was with a young man. When I went alone (3 times) I felt like a queen, self-esteem went off scale, the Arabs showered me with gifts. And so the elementary rules of good manners, a smile and the Arabs will answer you the same.
I wish you all a pleasant holiday. Although in the near future, I do not think that someone will dare to fly there in the midst of the Revolution.
