The decision to go once again in the winter to Egypt matured unexpectedly: "puzzling" over the New Year's gift, I decided to monitor the prices for holidays. The result was purchased "under the Christmas tree" vouchers to "SHARM PLAZA 5*". There were three such "Santa Claus" of us. Having captured our "Snow Maidens", on January 24, six of us went to the YuBSh (the southern coast of Sharma). Upon arrival, we were met by a representative of the host country and happily informed that our hotel had closed... Immediately he promised to send us "to an even better hotel - Continental Plaza. " But in this "best" hotel we already rested in 2012, so after a short "trade in Arabic" by mutual agreement we went to "SUNRISE DIAMOND 5 *".
The meeting at the reception was on the level - a glass of cool "Yupi" and a damp towel cooled our ardor, and the bracelets allowed us to have time to finish breakfast. After eating, we issued cards for the settlement, signed papers stating that there were no claims to change the hotel and went to the rooms without waiting for 14-00 (probably the change of the hotel affected the issuance of the keys). We were settled in a building on the same level as the reception building. We can say that in the "golden mean" between the distant building and the sea. 2nd floor, sea view. The furniture is “tired”, the bathroom is in a similar condition, but the bed is clean, the plumbing is in good condition, and everything else is outside the room - the sea, the sun, the rest. I would give 3 points for the numbers. Cleaning was carried out every day - there was no dust under the beds, but taking out the garbage, making the bed and replenishing water and detergents was always on time. Instead of “van dollar”, he thanked the person with chocolate, the stocks of which he replenished at home in advance (since he did not have time to exchange 1 USD).
The territory of the hotel is beautiful - neatly trimmed lawns, flowers, palm trees. Pleases the eye. Located on a small slope. Cascading streams blend harmoniously into the overall landscape. Score 5 points.

The beach has a kind of "sector" - quite comfortable. Entry into the sea along the pontoon is 25 meters long, and there is traditionally depth and marine life. For the beach and the sea, you can safely put 5 points.
Pools. There are three of them on the territory of the hotel. The largest one is closest to the sea. It is not heated in winter, so we did not swim. The middle one (in terms of location) is located below the reception building - with heating and sofas around. This is where we relaxed after lunch. Children and people in clothes are not allowed to swim in this pool. The so-called "relaxation pool". The third pool is located near the farthest building - children and Arab women in their robes were there.
Meals were held in the main restaurant - I won’t note any special frills, but sometimes I came across seafood more often than in Sharma’s budget fives. Gourmets who prefer "Burgundy meat and trout in their own juice" will be disappointed - this is not in this hotel. For all other tourists - you can safely eat - everyone will find something for himself to maintain strength. A small present at the bar in the form of 0.5 "Khortytsia" made it possible to enjoy privileges for extraordinary service during the rest. At breakfast, somewhere in the middle of our vacation, fresh juices began to be made free of charge - with guava and melon. As a disadvantage, one can note a small area for distributing dishes, as a result of which there were often queues. We especially felt it during the arrival of local vacationers for the weekend. The most interesting thing is that all the tourists are standing in the queues, except for the Arab ones... A funny incident happened to me. Having endured the long-suffering line for breakfast for an omelet and garnished this dish with local sausages, I went up to get some bread. There was no sliced ​ ​ u200bu200band I, placing a plate with provisions next to it, started cutting the loaf. Turning after 30 seconds to my dish, I had the honor to see a “pale young man with burning eyes” of Arab blood, who enthusiastically shifted from my plate to his “daily bread”. To my remark “You are wrong”, he was embarrassed, began to apologize “Sorry, sorry! ” and… kept putting food on his plate… Had to share? .
Animation in the winter was provided by a small team, whose services I did not resort to. Our girls went dancing a couple of times near the pool and in the evening we watched the "show time". Basically, they organized their leisure time themselves. In the daytime, we went several times to the shopping arcade "1001 Nights" - 7-10 minutes walk from the hotel. We took a taxi to the "Old Market" ($ 3), and once even walked on foot (probably 30 minutes walked). We visited the Fares fish restaurant. In the evenings, they had fun playing "uno" at the reception, and after 22 they went to bed. The week flew by unnoticed, and on January 31, with the help of a time machine in the form of a Boeing 737, we safely “landed” at the airport of our Motherland.

Summing up, I can say that the hotel is quite suitable for recreation. Good location in relation to the city and excellent sea are the undoubted advantages of this hotel. The management of Sunrise hotels remains at a good level. I recommend the hotel for a holiday.
