Not a bad hotel, but there are some issues

We vacationed at Sunrise Remal Resort from October 9 to October 16.2023.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were given a welcome drink and sent for a snack, which was very useful, since on the Sky up plane they not only don’t provide food, but they don’t even give us water. It was 16-30, and dinner at the hotel is from 19-00, so French fries and a hot dog were very welcome. We finished off our snack with an ice cream from the machine at the pool bar. Thanks to the hotel. It should be noted that all hotel staff were very attentive to our requests and satisfied all of them.
Number
There are Russian-speaking employees at the reception, so there were no problems with check-in. As we requested, we were given a room on the second floor No. 1145 MV, the type of which we booked. From the balcony you could even see a piece of the sea in the distance.
The room is spacious, renovated with new plumbing and fairly soft beds.

For some reason, 6 small pillows were included, which we put in the chair and therefore did not use it. The bed linen is clean and almost new. The room has an electric kettle with a set for making coffee/tea. Upon arrival in the refrigerator (it was faulty, but a day later they replaced it with a new one) 6 bottles of soda: Cola, Sprite, Fanta + 2 bottles of water. Water was replenished daily.
The television panel had 5 Russian-language channels: two from Germany, a religious one, it is unclear whose channel 8 was, and the TNT channel, which was broadcast with interference.
Quite spacious balcony with a table and 3 chairs. There is no drying rack for swimming trunks on the balcony, so take a rope with you. There is no remote control for the air conditioner - inconvenient.
Hotel
It has a fairly large but densely built-up area. There is not enough greenery, in my opinion. During our trip the hotel was about 30-40% occupied. Contingent: Italians, a certain number of Europeans, quite a few Kazakhs.
There were also Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Uzbeks and Moldovans.
The hotel does not control insects on its premises. On the second day, in the morning, a hotel employee came to our room, sprayed the curtains with a spray can and left us with a hotel fumigator. There were no mosquitoes for 3 days - then they appeared, flying into the bathroom through the ventilation, and from there into the room. We put the Raid liquid fumigator we brought with us into the bathroom - it helped a little.
Animation
She is at a low level. I liked the fire show by the pool. The other shows at the amphitheater weren't great. In addition, we were bitten by mosquitoes there. Although the presence of a bar open until 23-50 near the amphitheater is very convenient.
In the evening, a singer performs at the lobby bar.
Beach
The beach is two-level - raised at the entrance to the pontoon and lower in its left and right parts. To take a seat near the pontoon you must arrive before 8:30.
But one time we couldn’t find a place in this part of the beach even in the evening - there was a massive arrival of Italians. In general, there are not enough sunbeds in the shade, although there is space for installing both additional umbrellas and sunbeds.

Entrance to the water from the pontoon. Previous reviews complained that there was only one ladder leading into the water. They added a 2nd staircase and for some reason a closed 3rd. But still there is a crowd on the pontoon and in the water. One pontoon for two hotels is not enough. Clearly we need another pontoon.
To the right of the pontoon (if you look at the sea), at high tide you can walk along the coral table and find a depression where you can swim a little - the water there is almost waist-deep. At low tide, ancient fossils are visible off the shore.
I didn't like the very fine sticky sand on the beach. The small annoying flies on the beach were annoying.
Thanks to the presence of fences on the beach, you feel more comfortable - the illusion of privacy is created, rather than being in a crowd of vacationers.
The hotel is on the second line (500 m from the beach), but thanks to the hotel bus, which runs very often, you feel like you are in a hotel on the 1st line.
Boats with divers constantly moor in the sea around the hotel pontoon. They even have ropes specially embedded in the coral for mooring. Due to the large number of divers, we were unable to see any large fish. Lots of different small fish. The coral itself is very beautiful with coves, pillars, etc. - it’s not for nothing that so many divers come here. If you swim to the left from the pontoon towards the Albatross Hotel (this hotel has access to the water from the shore), you can end up in muddy water due to the sandy beach of the hotel, especially when the sea is rough.
There is a hotel bar near the entrance to the pontoon, and across the road from the beach there is a bar at the Sunrise Remal Beach Hotel where you can also get drinks - very convenient.
Nutrition
Good. There is fish almost every day, sometimes several options. There are always several types of chicken and beef for lunch and dinner.
1 time there were large shrimps with squid - boiled and grilled. There are always 2 types of soup. A lot of variously prepared vegetables. There is a station with Italian cuisine, there was also pizza. Alcohol is so-so. Beer is tolerable. White wine – didn’t like it, haven’t tried the other wines. Of the strong drinks, I really didn’t like whiskey and brandy; vodka and gin were somewhat better.

The restaurant has 4 low children's tables with children's chairs for 3 people each. The problem is that even when the hotel is not fully occupied, there are not enough tables in the restaurant. This is especially felt at lunchtime, when the open area of the restaurant is very hot and no one goes there. As a result, we arrived for lunch and dinner no earlier than 1 hour after they started. Lunch lasts only 2 hours - this is not enough.
In the main restaurant and in the lobby bar, drinks are poured into glass containers, in other bars either into plastic or disposable cups.
In addition to drinks, you can also get chips at the lobby bar.
A la carte restaurants
There are 5 of them, but the fish one is paid, and the Mediterranean one did not work all 7 days of our stay at the hotel. They didn’t want to go to the Indian, Mexican and Egyptian restaurants - most of the dishes offered there were in the main restaurant, and besides, they didn’t have very good reviews.
Evening pastime
From the hotel towards the Albatross Hotel there is an embankment about 1.8 km long along which it is pleasant to walk. Near the Baron Hotel there is a shopping street with a lot of shops. But the prices are higher than in the shopping gallery opposite the Concorde El Salam Hotel, which we visited on the way to Soho Square.
We walked to Soho Square – it took 25 minutes. at a leisurely pace. The only caveat is that you have to walk not only along the illuminated asphalt, but also through the desert about 200 meters from the villas to the Siva Hotel. Landmark in the desert - 3 mobile towers. We must go between them.
Hotel advantages:
1. Good nutrition.
2.
Spacious renovated room.
3. Responsive, helpful staff. There is no extortion of money.
4. Thanks to the presence of fences on the beach you feel comfortable.
5. Thanks to the hotel bus, you feel like you are in a 1st line hotel.
Flaws:
1. Small annoying flies on the beach and mosquitoes in the room and near the amphitheater.
2. Insufficient number of sun loungers on the beach in the shade.
3. Crowd on the pontoon. We need another pontoon.
4. For lunch and dinner you must arrive either at the very beginning, or an hour after they start - otherwise there will be no free tables.
5. There is no drying place for swimsuits on the balcony - you need to take a rope with you.
