We rested in Stella Di Mare 5 * from October 24 to November 3.2012, my family, my husband and daughter 10 years old. Through the tour operator Coral-Travel. Departure from Sheremetyevo-F, by Transaero airline at 10-40.
And now in more detail and in order.
1. SETTLEMENT. We reached the hotel quickly enough for 20 minutes. Our hotel was 3 in a row. The young man from the reception showed us to the sofas at the lobby bar, they brought us welcome cocktails and wet-warm hand towels. Then they took the passports and literally 10 minutes later. brought the key to the room. We had a 4-digit number and I immediately realized that it was in a bungalow, my husband was very upset by this fact and immediately, without seeing the number, asked to change it to a room in the main building, to which the young man from the reception said that our the room is very good and it is not worth changing it, and there are no free rooms in the main building now.

2. NUMBER. Room 1096 was really good, firstly it is on the 2nd floor in a bungalow, plus this location is that in the mornings, and throughout our rest, neither screams, nor noise, nor children's running along the corridor disturbed our peace. The view from the room was on 3 sides, the sea and the beach, the main building and the tennis courts. And secondly our bungalow was 3rd from the sea. Considering that the bungalows are located on a slope and after the beach you have to climb uphill to get into the room, then this is certainly great. The room is not fancy, but has everything you need a minibar (replenished daily 2 cans of Stella beer, 2 cans of Heineken beer, 4 cans of cola, fanta or sprite, 3 bottles of still water, and 2 bottles of sparkling water, 2 small bags of juice and 2 chocolates) because we had ALL, then all this was free of charge except for Stella beer - 31 pounds, Heineken - 36 pounds, Chocolates - 15 pounds, a kettle, 2 cups, and a tea and coffee set, safe, LCD TV (3 Russian channels), air conditioning, 2 beds (large 1.5 sleeping), a bed for a child and a dressing room . . The furniture in the rooms is new and "not killed". In the bathroom there are shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner, shower cap, soap, liquid soap, etc. paper, bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer and scales. Bathtub, sink and bidet toilet, pt. good quality (faucets, if someone says the name of the company Grohe). There is a drying facility above the bathroom. They cleaned the room well, we put $ 2 every day (although the amount of money did not affect the quality of the cleaning). Everything in the room worked and there were no problems. And more VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION in the hotel room and on the street, in the evenings by the pool, there were mosquitoes (maybe because we were in October? ), so take FUMITOX and mosquito spray with you. Even if we take into account that every evening the hotel staff walk around the territory with a "chimney" and spray plants from all kinds of insects, mosquitoes in the rooms and ants on the balcony in the main building, there is still.
3. FOOD. The hotel on the 3rd floor, 1 main restaurant and 2 a la carte restaurants. The food for breakfast is more varied scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, poached eggs, scrambled eggs (sorry that from the package) with all kinds of additives, pancakes, waffles, sausages, chopped vegetables, croissants, all kinds of buns, pizza, fried cheese, sausage, all kinds of cereal with milk. From drinks tea, instant coffee, pseudo juices (instant UPI). But for lunch and dinner, the food, to put it mildly, is not very much according to 1 type of meat, chicken, fish, from the side dish, too, one type of rice, pasta and potatoes (no fries) and, of course, chopped vegetables. Ready salads are generally not possible. Of the fruits, there were only apples, oranges, pears, pomegranates, dates, and several times there were grapes. There seems to be a lot of desserts, but this is deceptive, there are 5-6 cakes that are absolutely the same, but with different "roses" decorations. There are enough tables in the restaurant and the waiters for orders for drinks and then with drinks came very quickly. At the end of lunch or dinner, a waiter comes up with a bill and asks to sign (check what would be on the bill, what you drank and the bill was "zero"). There is a cafe on the beach where you can have a bite, eat ice cream, drink coffee from 12 to 16 . In the cafe, as in all bars, there is a "double" menu, for "All inclusive" and for a fee. Once we decided to eat there and then very regretted. We ordered Caesar salad and chicken nuggets, so the cheese in the salad was not Parmesan, but ordinary and very dry, we almost broke our teeth. The sauce was sour and the nuggets were overcooked and burnt. We didn’t eat it, but unknowingly tried the salad. After such a dinner, by the evening my daughter and I vomited and then had a stomachache for 3 days. But thanks to the ENTEROSGEL and ENTEROPHORIL taken with me, my stomach ached for only 3 days, without medicines it would have been much worse.
4. BARS. There are 3 bars and cafes in the hotel and on the territory. Lobby bar at the reception on the 7th floor, beach bar and pool bar on the 3rd floor. The lobby bar makes delicious non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails; beer and other drinks are always served with nuts or chips. There is no discrimination in the hotel in the bars everyone serves drinks in glass, on the beach juices and water in stylish plastic glasses, and beer in plastic beer mugs.
5. ENTERTAINMENT. There is free Wi-Fi in the central part of the main building. On the 4th floor there is a playroom for children, a SPA center, a gym, and on the terrace there is a swimming pool with a jacuzzi. There are also 2 tennis courts (ball and racket rental for a fee). At the entrance to the hotel there is a diving center.

6. ANIMATION. In the morning at 11 in the pool on the 1st floor, aqua aerobics, and then around 11-30 volleyball, at 12-00 on the grass by the pool, gymnastics or a belly dance lesson. In the evening in the amphitheater by the pool on the 3rd floor from 21-30 to 22-30 , after the mini disco, not a big show or live music. Now for the kids. There is a kids club next to the pool. Every day, 2 animators (Russian-speaking girls) gather children in the kids club, play all kinds of games with children, watch cartoons. In the evening from 20-30 to 21-00 in the main building on the 3rd floor, mini-disco. Because October 30 was Halloween, then the animators handed out masks to all the kids, and candy to adults, and the kids ran around the hotel shouting "life or candy. "
7. BEACH AND SEA. The beach is multi-level, the sand is bulk, the sea is warm (25-28 degrees), clean and of an unusual turquoise-blue color, there are enough sunbeds, you can’t lie on each other’s heads. We came to the beach at 10 o’clock and a young man immediately ran up to us with towels, spread them on sunbeds and tore off an umbrella, free sunbeds were always in advance to come by 6 in the morning and you don’t need to take them. Entry into the sea from pantone, there are 2 of them. Immediately the depth is 6 meters, or maybe all 10, but because the sea is very clean, you won't understand the depth. There are a lot of fish there is a small reef just between the pantones. Those who do not know how to swim can look at the fish sitting on the steps to the right of the right pantone. Be careful under pantone lives lionfish. Also, the kids can splash in the water on the shore, there is a descent to the sea and a small area with sand (the water is really knee-deep, further coral and it is forbidden to walk on it). During the day, hotel employees walk along the beach and by the pool and offer grapes or melon slices, drinks and water, wipe glasses, splash fragrant refreshing water on the body.
8. STAFF. The hotel staff is very polite, the service is not intrusive. There is no such thing as constantly approaching and offering to braid pigtails, do a manicure or massage, which pleases. There are always Russian-speaking girls at the reception who will always help and solve any issue. We had to contact the guide and clarify the time of departure from the hotel for a trip on an excursion, so we were told to go to the concierge (his desk is opposite the reception), take the folder of our tour operator and the concierge himself (from the hotel phone) dialed the guide's number and we decided everything questions.
9. TERRITORY. The hotel area is small and very cozy, a lot of greenery and flowers, grottoes and waterfalls. There is perhaps only one minus, because the hotel is located on a mountain, then there are a lot of steps on its territory, and it will be difficult for older people and mothers with strollers to often climb up the hill. On the 1st floor of the hotel, there are souvenir shops and shops, so you can buy souvenirs there, although the prices are much higher than in Naama or in the Old City.

10. EXCURSIONS. We took excursions from the hotel guide to Cleo Park ($110 - 2 adults and 1 child) and to the Ras Mohammed Nature Reserve ($120 - 2 adults and 1 child).
In Cleo Park, the price includes lunch, which, to put it mildly, is not edible, the water slides are mediocre, our 10-year-old daughter rode everyone, so if you are extreme, I think you will be bored. The only white slide, which is a sheer wall along which you need to slide in a circle, deserves praise. Men roll off it once, apparently they don’t have enough spirit for more (my husband refused at all), but I’m a risky girl and for the sake of shots for the family archive I swept twice.
In Ras Mohammed I liked it much more, for which special thanks to the Odeon Tour guide, Michael, for simplicity, he asked to be called himself (I forgot his name in Arabic). I won’t list all the charms, I just advise you to go.
P. S. Because the hotel territory is small, there is not much animation and entertainment, then the hotel is of course more suitable for relaxation and a relaxing holiday for couples and families with small children. I think it will be boring for everyone else, and especially young people, and I would advise hotels in a more fun way. And for myself, as before, I again draw a conclusion. If you have a choice of holidays in Turkey or Egypt, then only Egypt, in Hurghada only in the PeakAlbatros hotel chain... all the same, service and food (for Egypt) are at a high level, and in Sharm, of course, Stella Di Mare.
