I always approach the choice of a hotel scrupulously: I choose for a long time, read reviews, write off tourists. But I fell in love with this hotel at first sight.
After an active honeymoon in Thailand a year ago, this time my husband and I decided to just lazily relax on the beach. The choice fell on Egypt because of the extremely beautiful sea, and on the hotel, first of all, because of the extremely beautiful photographs. It is worth saying that neither the first nor the second disappointed us.
Location. The hotel is literally 10 minutes drive from the airport. When you drive up to the main entrance, you see a one-story building and the sea in the background. In fact, there are 8 floors near the main building, but they do not go up, but down. Thus, you arrive immediately on the 7th floor)
Stella Di Mare looks like it was carved into the petrified coral. Throughout the territory there are stone formations with particles of shells, shells and corals.

Territory. In my opinion it's gorgeous. I am not a fan of the ubiquitous Turkish-style rose/white bushes. Therefore, a smooth green lawn and a few palm trees were pleasing to the eye. With all this, the territory looks very green and fresh. There are, of course, flowers, bushes, and even conifers. Everywhere is clean and tidy.
Beach. Italian sand. Yellow, small, insanely pleasant. I was especially pleased with the evening on the beach with dancing, hookah and wine) The beach is clean, every evening and morning the sand is leveled with a special rake. There are plenty of places on the beach. Best of all, you don't have to carry towels! They will bring them to you, and change them, and remove them.
Sea. Indescribable. I recommend to lovers of fauna to swim after 15.00, when dinner starts for fish. It is very interesting to watch how they swim up to the coral to feast on. Be sure to take an underwater camera (by the way, in supermarkets, an underwater kodak costs only 75 LE (Egyptian pounds). Near the pontoon there is a "hostel" - a coral pillar - in which a lot of fish live. You look like a picture, very beautiful and exciting. We also saw a stingray and an octopus, stars and hedgehogs, but I was more interested in fish. There is an opportunity to swim over the coral "bushes" along the way and other fish are found.
Number. It is best to live in the main building, because it has access to all the pools and restaurants, in general, the entire infrastructure around it. The spa pool can only be accessed from the main one, for example. But, living in villas, you can afford to lie on the lawn with a bottle of wine in the evening, enjoying solitude. We spent our first night in a villa room. Standard rooms there do not have balconies, so the next day, having asked for relocation to the main building, they moved to room 413 without any problems and surcharges. The room overlooked the SPA area with a partial sea view. Very quiet and comfortable, just like we wanted. I won't go into detail about the number. I can only say that linen and towels were changed every day without reminders, everything is clean and ironed. Pleased with natural cosmetics Stella Di Mare. The mini-bar was free for us. Only tea and coffee are free. But we did not suffer much, having previously purchased in Duty Free and supermarkets. For comparison, a can of Stella 0.5 beer costs £.35 in a hotel and £.11 in a supermarket. This information is for tourists who prefer HB. Also pleased with the free internet in the room and WiFi in the lobby. Since my husband had to be in touch every day at work, we saved a lot of money.

Nutrition. There is always a lot of controversy at this point, because it tastes and color. We liked everything. The food is basically the same. There were no tasteless dishes, they were unusual for us. So we did not learn the salad of melon, grapes and shrimp, for example. But there were always plenty of other dishes. They didn't leave hungry. Juices are delicious, not UPI. From fruits - grapes, watermelon, melon, dates, figs, pomelo, oranges, apples, bananas.
When choosing the HB system, we were a little worried, and our friends dissuaded me. In the end, everything turned out much better than we expected. Breakfast and dinner are quite enough, especially since, due to the time difference, breakfast goes for lunch. A couple of times we ordered dinner in the room, drank beer at the bar and wine at dinner, ate ice cream. As a result, we ended up much cheaper than if we had bought All Inc. So I can say for sure to the doubters, take half board, you will not regret it. In the bar you still won’t get good whiskey for free, and you shouldn’t overpay only for unlimited access to local beer and cocktails (which, according to the stories, don’t include a Russian person).
Water. Only in Egypt do you begin to appreciate this resource. You drink there a lot. And only water truly quenches thirst. Every day they put 0.5 liters per person in the room. In the restaurant at dinner, they pour unlimited. On the beach and near the pool, water is offered during hot hours along with chopped melon. Tap water cannot be drunk. It is not recommended to even open your mouth while taking a shower. Personally, I paid for my carelessness by taking a couple of sips from the pool in the Albatros water park)) Only Bedouin tea, which my Arab friends used to drink, saved me from a wild pain in my stomach. I recommend taking note.
Service. Pleasantly pleased. The staff is courteous and attentive. They don't smile for tips, but they don't refuse them. Cleaning 2 times a day. At the end of the constant "Hello, how are you? " from the staff began to strain a little. In the main restaurant, the administrator meets and escorts to the table. Half-eaten soup immediately raises questions: “Is something wrong? ”, “Didn’t you like it? ”. Ordering an omelet for the third time, I was pleasantly surprised that the chef remembered my preferences. A couple of times we ran into cases of discrimination by staff trying to serve primarily Arab guests. But there were no outrageous incidents, so they did not complain.

Entertainment. Party lovers can get bored here. Animation is not intrusive, mostly English speaking. There is a club, but mostly children have fun there. Every evening live music in the lobby and by the pool, national evenings in the restaurant and fire show parties on the beach. We specifically chose a quiet hotel for a romantic getaway, so we didn’t suffer much. In addition, a free bus to Naama Bay allows you to hang out at least every day.
Purchases. My husband is not a big fan of shopping, so my shopping was limited. Papyri, bags and hookahs were not even considered, because they did not want to return loaded. What you should pay special attention to is natural oils and extracts. Personally, I, white-skinned from birth, was simply shocked by the properties of natural ambergris, thanks to which I not only did not burn, but also acquired a gorgeous tan. The ointment with sandalwood extract works wonders for problematic skin, and sandalwood extract makes the skin amazingly soft.
Given the fact that prices in Egypt are divided into 2 categories - for our own and for others - we were lucky to meet two cool sellers Mahmud and Semsem. Their shop, named after Lionel Ricci, is located just to the left of the hotel bus stop. I highly recommend their store. And not only because of the nice discounts. The guys are very welcoming, friendly, speak several languages. It's just a pleasure to talk to them. It was thanks to them that I discovered natural cosmetics for myself, and already regretted that I had not bought more. Mahmud was very helpful in the stores, with him we bought at a price “for our own”. For comparison, the Kodak underwater soap dish in the hotel store cost 190 pounds, in the Kodak company store on Naam - 100 pounds, and we bought it with Mahmoud for 70. I'm not talking about the excellent hookah that they treat friends to and regardless of whether they bought you anything or not. We did not smoke the best hookah either in the hotel or in the cafe.
Tour operator. Pegasus once again did not please. I will write briefly, for which I gave them a low rating: 1. The person meeting at the airport blew something into the microphone for a long time on the way to the hotel. Everything would be fine, but we didn’t understand a word from a speech that barely looked like Russian. 2. Meeting with the guide at the hotel was disgusting. The guy replacing our hotel guide Alide limited himself to a few suggestions that on excursions contact the guide, look at the departure in the company's catalog. All. 3. The hotel guide Alide allows customers to use phrases like "for * bali", "would you leave faster. " My husband and I were unpleasantly surprised when she bore us with a tourist from Belarus, who approached us with a question.
