Two months have passed and finally got around to write a review about the Sonesta Club hotel.
I'll start in order. We rested at the Sonesta Club Hotel from December 7 to December 14.2013, 2 adults and 2 children (a girl 7 years old and a boy 11 years old).
Flight to Sharm "Kolavia" was delayed for 1 hour, back "Ural Airlines" without delay. Flight as usual, with a bang, it makes no sense to describe. We arrived at 8:30 am.
Upon arrival, everything is standard, then we were met by guides and taken to all the hotels, we rode for about an hour.

We were at the hotel at about 10 am, came with a guide to the reception, put on bracelets and we were told that we had no time for breakfast at the restaurant, but we could eat at the pool bar while the room was being prepared. We sat like this until 14-30... Neither money, nor persuasion, nor requests, nothing helped, the only answer was "There are no available rooms, the rooms are being prepared. " So, fairy tales, about early check-in or $ 20 turned out to be a "bullet" in this hotel, although we were with 2 children. As it turned out later, the numbers were... But, God be their judge.
Room 1063 was at the very end of the territory, in building 1000, opposite the children's slides. Quiet, calm, next to a large adult heated pool, we were satisfied. The truth is far from the restaurant (he is alone in the hotel), but walking is useful. Standard room, on the 2nd floor, with access to the garden, the view is awesome. Cleaning in the room at your request, every other day they left $ 1, but it didn’t get any cleaner.
Meals in one single restaurant. The food is standard for Egypt, every day they cook something like this (dish of the day), kebab and kofta or seafood or something else. You can have a bite to eat at the bars by the pools, there are 2 of them, pastries, etc. . There is also a bar in the building where the reception is. We really liked the octopuses, I advise you to try. Water is given in the restaurant for free, 1 bottle of 0.5 liters per person, given only for breakfast and dinner. In the room, water is only upon check-in, then carry it yourself.
Alcohol is all local, I did not like it. Beer is normal, bottled, draft has never seen. They said good wine, I didn’t drink, I don’t know. Juice like everywhere else, Cola, Sprite, Fanta. The children and we really liked the ice cream, it tastes like ice cream in Soviet times, I tried it and declare responsibly, take it, you won’t regret it, $ 2 a large glass. If you drink at a bar, then they pour it into glass, and if you go to the pool or a room, then into plastic, but these are not disposable glasses.

The beach is across the road at Sonesta Beach. The beach is not big, packed to capacity, as if in Sochi at the height of the season. You can’t find free sunbeds, many lie down right on the sand near the water. Guests from Sonesta Beach take the sunbeds early in the morning, putting their towel on them. In our hotel, the towels are striped, by the way, they are given out on the beach, take only a card on the towel with you, it’s very convenient, and in the Beach the towels are orange, plain, so it immediately becomes clear who took all the places.
On the territory of the Sonesta Club hotel there are 3 slides for adults, it makes no sense to describe ordinary slides, a special person monitors safety on them. Standard children's pool, heated, with a slide, and something else. There are also shops at the reception and on site. Sellers are not as arrogant and annoying as in Naama.
Good children's and not bad adult animation in this hotel. But it was not at the highest level, due to the workload of the animators. The animators were preparing a program for the meeting of the Catholic Christmas, and were busy with rehearsals for a long time.
The hotel is located near Naama Bay, walk 15 minutes, taxi $3. There are many shops near the hotel. Dollars and euros can be exchanged at the exchange rate at an ATM without commission (at the entrance to the hotel on the right), or at a bank representative, a window next to the ATM.
The hotel guide is a normal guy, he does not impose tours on anyone. An Arab walks around the hotel, his name is Alex, he offers the same tours, but a little cheaper.
Summing up, I can say that this hotel is not very suitable for families. Corresponds to its 4 * by Egyptian standards. Not expensive, not pretentious, the territory is green, clean and well-groomed, no one from the staff asks for tips, there are not even glasses for tips in the bars. You can thank with a tip in a restaurant, there at the exit, on the right, there is a box on a leg, especially for this purpose. The staff is mostly young people.
