Hotel ratings by criteria:
The tour was 10 days. Hotel – SonestaClub, 4+.

The hotel is decent, however, there are a few “buts”, which, I’m sure, can be found in other hotels…

1. Construction?
Yes, she is. During our stay at the SonestaClub, a swimming pool was built ...Huge, shallow on one side, deep on the other, with three slides ...A feast for the eyes. They promised that it will open by the New Year or Christmas. This construction did not tire us, although the bungalow was nearby ...In addition, I noticed that almost all hotels are building something. Sharm el-Sheikh is a young resort, so nothing surprising ...

2. As for the star rating of the hotel…
Yes, it’s quite decent for a 4-star… On the beach, we met people from other equivalent hotels, they said that they had worse… For example, drinking water in bottles is strictly limited, there are no refrigerators in the rooms, air conditioners break down… Everything is fine with us, we have everything, what was promised in the prospectus...

3. Tour operator. Sad fact #1.
In general, I realized that the choice of a tour operator should be approached VERY seriously. We planned to go from the Tez-tour, but since everything was decided in a matter of days and there was a huge demand for tours to Egypt, we didn’t have to choose a tour operator ...Anix-tour became the sending party. The plane was excellent, one tour operator, the plane was well fed, well met, transported to hotels for a short time ...

This is where the positive impressions ended. Further horror! We arrived at the hotel at 9 am local time, they didn’t check us in right away, they told us to come by 12 o’clock ...It’s hot (+35), we’re tired from the road, we should take a shower ...By the way, I read reviews on the net, they say, Russians are being evicted to the backyards, take a number only up to 1000, and in general, to be given such a number, pay extra ...So I was already ready for this ...But!
Another method also worked… I went up to the reception, smiled, moved her eyes coquettishly… It was not difficult))) Well, she sighed again, showed with gestures that she was tired and thirsty… (hell, that’s where English would have come in handy if I had known before) . The administrator, or whatever it was, said that there was one room ...And he offered to check in right now ...No. 951. I did not pay extra dollars ...As a result, we immediately went to the room, took a shower, rested ...

4. Tour operator. Sad fact #2.
Guide Rezida is generally incompetent as a specialist, although she boasted in front of our group that she worked in Turkey for 11 years before Egypt ...In short, she finally doesn’t give a damn about tourists ...On the first evening, we had a small scandal. As expected, she gave us general information and offered to sign up for excursions RIGHT NOW. in principle, we were not against it, the whole company was going to go on three excursions, this was already discussed in advance.

Then a friend comes up to me and quietly says that the Tez tour has cheaper excursions ...Well, for example, the pyramids cost $ 10 per person ...We Rezite, they say, we’ll think about it, today is the first day in Egypt ...She began to literally RUN! ! ! Like, I have no time to bother with you, I have a lot of groups, if you don’t buy excursions now, then don’t buy them later ...I told her: Why should we be rude? You are our guide, you have to work with us every day ...In general, there was something ...And for the whole tour we saw her three times! Moreover, a couple of times in a restaurant - she ate herself, poor thing.

Excursions (two) were still bought from her, even they were afraid to go with another travel agency, but in vain ...I express admiration for the staff of the Tez tour - their representative was at the reception both in the morning and in the evening, by the way, many Aniksturovites approached him with questions, a paradox simply.
And before leaving, the joke came out in general ...I learned from tourists that they had come with the Tez tour, that I had the right to two dinners with shish kebab (however, they were fed for slaughter, but still! ). When I asked Rezida, she shrugged, saying, I’ll find out ...There was a day left before departure ...In short, we spat on her ...but she spoiled our mood ...

5. Prices for excursions.
Well, very different. We visited the pyramids in Giza for 80 dollars, but it was possible for 70, and even 50 (from some Moscow tour operator). They drove quad bikes for $25 per person, bought them on the beach - everything was organized normally (at the Anix-tour, which, by the way, is already called the Anus-tour in the common people, this pleasure cost $35).

6. Excursions.
In addition to the above, we also visited the Abu Galum Marine Reserve. I personally chose it due to the fact that among the entertainment was a 40-minute camel ride.
And, as it turned out, it was the most exciting, the rest - a trip in jeeps and the reserve itself - was sucked from the finger. Well… it’s hard to ride camels… There’s no stirrup like a horse’s, a thin neck dangles in front, the height is great… But in general I like such things. True, the pictures practically did not work out - it was difficult to take a picture.

I also want to say about the pyramids… Some say that you shouldn’t go there… Of course, the road is long and hard (for God’s sake, don’t believe the guides who say that the whole journey will take 6 hours, well, that’s not true! At least 8 hours if you won't be driving around the hotels for a long time). But to visit, I assure you, it's worth it ...The sensations are indescribable. By the way, the prices there are reasonable, for example, I bought a hookah (height is about a meter) for only 22 dollars.
And all sorts of other souvenirs ...I'm not so superstitious, so I went inside one of the pyramids ...In general, there are a lot of impressions from this trip, True, we drove the driver back, sorry, obscene - kind Anus-tour gave us a bus for such a trip, where the seats are not laid out ...Everyone was furious (((

7. Nutrition.
Well, there’s nothing to complain about ...They fed, as I said, excellent, they didn’t go hungry, there were heaps of alcohol, however, I drank the last weakly, not a fan ...And our men were addicted))). It was disappointing that the wine was only dry (it’s impossible to drink red wine at all, white will still do). The rest is normal.

8. Arabs.
Well, they stick, of course ...In general, they are the same people as we are. Therefore, you should not treat the attendants as slaves. They say they don't like Russians...Nothing like that! Our whole company communicated with them normally, not only girls, but also guys.
They especially stick to Nayama Bay, it’s better for girls not to go there alone ...

Here is an example of a walk, one Arab jumps up, begins to explain in broken Russian that he wants to make a “gift”, grabs his hand, pulls him into his shop . . good to know), and give him a gift! ”, and he suddenly gives out: “ My husband overate pears! ". Well, we all rolled with laughter))). In general, they know a lot of Russian proverbs and sayings. Or, for example, I go, and he follows me “Marina? Natasha? Oksana? Lena? "))) I was laughing))).

There was another incident. We went into one shop together, picked up tobacco for a hookah, and there the owner turned out to be. He spun around me this way and that, he tried to treat me with tea, and then he says to my companion: “How many camels? ". I step on that foot, and he himself realized that it is priceless, they say))).
This Arab invited “tomorrow to Arab hospitality”, as they understood, to sit at the table ...Of course, we didn’t go ...You never know ...Another country ...

9. Dutifree.

Be sure to take a look. Moreover, it is better in the one that is located on the territory of the resort where you are relaxing. I bought a martini Bianca - 1 liter = 300 rubles. Before departure, I had to buy another bottle in the Duty Free at the airport, but it already cost more than 400 rubles. Chocolate in Dutifree is 30-40 percent more expensive than in regular stores.

10. New Year - all year round! Literally at every step, the Arabs congratulate the New Year))) Be prepared for this)))

11. Souvenirs.
Well, personally, I brought a hookah from Egypt, all sorts of magnets, papyrus (I ordered at the factory, they entered the name in ancient Egyptian there), figurines (cool - the pharaoh with, sorry, a standing member), and so, on the little things ...And decoration for myself - cartouche...I still don't take it off, I really like it...Silver, and the name in gold letters.

12.
My MAIN advice))) People, how I suffered there! In general, I am indifferent to alcohol, but in good company and with a good snack I will drink beer with pleasure ...So there was no snack at all! Cheese was taken out of the restaurant a couple of times… We bought local chips several times (the average package is 150 rubles). But there is no salted fish anywhere. squid, peanuts… They don't sell them! There was only one man with us, Uncle Kolya from Togliatti, and so, this is not the first time he brought bream, all kinds of fish with him ...He treated me, for which many thanks))).

So take a snack with you, but more! (By the way, I took 5 chocolate bars with me, I thought I would die without it, but there were so many sweets ...I gave Russian chocolate to the Arabs))) In general, I had a great rest))) Next year I plan to go to Turkey in September. In general, I realized that this is exactly how the rest should be - abroad and exotic.
Two years before that, I was vacationing in our south - in Anapa, in Adler ...So, they were not even close to Egypt!
