We rested in Sierra with the whole family: my wife and I and our daughter of eleven years. I would like to share my impressions. We took our choice of hotel very seriously. We read a bunch of reviews in turpravda and settled on Sierra. We join those enthusiastic reviews that we read ourselves. I want to say only good and very good things about Sierra.
The ticket was taken at the Athena Pallada travel agency in Novosibirsk, the tour operator Pegas Touristik. Well done Pegasus, everything is clear, everything is on time, there were no problems, thanks to them.
And now everything is in order, starting with the airport. Before we even blinked an eye, everything was done (the procedure for issuing visas and getting luggage took no more than 20 minutes), and now we are sitting on the bus that takes us to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel early at 9 o'clock, and, as you know, in all hotels in Egypt, check-in is at 14-00 (what to do, the European standard). But we were ready for this.

Not particularly bothering, they invested $ 20 in one of the passports, received guest cards and sat down to fill them out. The concierge immediately approached us and offered us a cold hibiscus. After filling out the guest cards, they gave them to the reception, for which they received an offer to wait. We left our things in the luggage room and decided to walk around the hotel and the famous Soho Square.
The territory of the hotel is actually very beautiful and well-groomed, everything is thought out to the smallest detail, everything is for the benefit of vacationers. Well, about Soho - this is a separate conversation, the beauty and cleanliness are impressive: all sidewalks are made of polished marble, bronze sculptures, fountains and pools are everywhere. This place abounds with all kinds of cafes and shops. There is a skating rink and an ice bar. There is still one originality: it is called "Kulturama". This is such an auditorium with a semicircular screen, where every day at 20-00 they tell the history of Egypt in pictures in Russian (informatively). Entrance ticket 35 pounds.
Well, in general, the waiting time passed unnoticed and somewhere around 12-15 we were wearing bracelets. The "all inclusive" system began to operate. We refreshed ourselves with cold beer (by the way, very good), and our child with juice, and then it was time for lunch (lunch runs from 13-00 to 15-00). After dinner, we were immediately seated. They gave us a room in the sixth building (that's what the life-giving dollar does). And our holiday in the Sierra began.
A lot has already been written about all the charms of the hotel, but I want more, once again. say kind words to the staff. Well done to everyone: the concierges, and the cooks, and the cleaners, and the bartenders, and everyone else who still works there. They behave courteously, politely, they are constantly interested in whether we are satisfied with the rest. And we were happy. Cleaning was done every day, and thorough, there were bathrobes and slippers. I also liked the fact that nothing never ends there - there is everything (well, what should be) and always. A very varied menu in the main restaurant: a lot of meat dishes (chicken, turkey, veal, beef, lamb) in different types, fish (tuna), squid, all kinds of side dishes: potatoes, pasta, vegetables, salads, pastries, cakes, pastries, ice cream . Fruits: in the morning, citrus fruits are a must, a salad of melon, pomegranate, pear and something else, dried apricots, prunes, bananas, dates, apples, pears, etc. , etc. Drinks: coffee, by the way, is not bad, we liked it, beer is delicious, red and white wine is good (pink is not very good), juices are generally stunned, especially mango and guava. And in the morning they serve strawberry juice, and it's not even juice, but rather strawberry puree, or something, in general, delicious.

Savoy-Sierra beach is very, very even. Everything is neat, clean, plenty of sunbeds. A huge plus is that in the waters of the beach of amazing beauty there is a reef with many beautiful fish. There are a lot of parrots, butterfly fish, we saw both a stingray and a Napoleon. Well, you can not talk about sergeants and other trifles. We went to Tiran Island, and so the reefs there, of course, are beautiful, but we practically didn’t see fish: so maybe a dozen sailed somewhere, no more.
About excursions. We had three of them (it was a pity for more time). They took them in Naama, a travel agency opposite McDolands - it's cheaper there and they give discounts. First, to the water park, but not Cleopark (it's old), but a new, big one. There are a lot of slides there, the child is delighted, and we, by the way, also dashed off to our heart's content. The company from which you buy the excursion organizes a transfer to the place of the excursion and back. When we went to the water park, they were 20 minutes late. So the guide, who later accompanied us all the way, was all “sorry” and “sorry”, and in the end she also returned $ 10 (well, is this possible with us). We went to the island of Tiran on a yacht. We liked it, by the way, this is the cheapest tour we got - only $ 65 for three with lunch and drinks. Well, on the bathyscaphe. This is a great option for those who cannot swim and do not have the opportunity to look at the inhabitants of the deep sea.
About Naama. Of course, you can shop in Soho, but it’s a little more expensive there, and they are almost not traded at all. There is a free bus to Naama from Sierra (schedule at the concierge). Shops and shops there are just a bunch of all sorts, for every taste. The sellers are mostly young people dressed in European style (in T-shirts, jeans or shorts), perfumed with fragrant oils, which are sold in abundance there (on average, 1 pound per 1 gram). No one is forcing you to buy anything, if you have to - take it, but if you don't - well, you don't have to. The only thing, of course, is worth haggling, the price is said, as a rule, from a lantern, but then it goes astray well. Personally, we really liked cotton products, but this is not surprising, because Egyptian cotton is the best quality in the world. On our own behalf, we can recommend the Karkusha House of Cotton. The guy runs it (I don’t know who by position), oriented to the Russian audience, he speaks Russian quite well, probably a Coptic (i. e. a Christian Arab). In general, there are many Christian Arabs there, they themselves say that 25% of the total population.
Very beautiful in Soho at night. The illumination is magnificent, the music plays. And the singing fountain! Beauty is mesmerizing! So, on our last day of stay, we went for a walk in Soho in the evening, and then the fountain sang something like this in Arabic, and the refrain of the song “Soho, Soho... ” brought a tear to the thought that it was time to leave. Well, the holiday is so good that it ends sometime. But we will definitely come back to Sierra!! !
