We were lucky to meet the New Year 2011 in Sharm, in the former "SOLYMAR SHARMING INN". This New Year's trip did not cost much money, since they flew from Samara using the TEZ Express system. FREEBIE!!!
They did not pay anything extra for the room, although it was possible to move to a bungalow and a room with a more beautiful view. But we were fine with it.
I liked the food, everything is very tasty, especially the "Italian corner" and buns! There were enough fruits, there were no problems with "drinks" either. Unless periodically the queue at the bar was annoying, but this is the result of the fact that the hotel was filled with our tourists.
And how friendly the hotel staff - it's generally just SUPER! We have been to Egypt many times, but we have never seen such hospitality anywhere else! You just need to be able to communicate normally with people working in the hotel, without "quirks" and show off.

Separate fiery greetings to the bartenders Kamil and Abdo. The tourists who rested with us together expressed their sympathy and gratitude in solidarity, lovingly calling them bar-magicians. Well done guys for sure!
The beach of the hotel, which was taken by bus (8-10 minutes), with us, alas, was closed almost all the time. But rescued a very warm heated pool on site and two so-called "PUBLIC BEACH". One is located nearby, in the same Hadaba, next to the Beach Albatros Hotel, the other is in Naama Bay. We are experienced people, we know how great everything is in Naama, so we went there several times. We got great pleasure from "communication" with the sea! . .
By the way, in this regard, the position of the TEZ hotel guides was very surprising. They could not really give any information about the state of the beaches, offering as an alternative to the hotel beach only... paid trips to Dahab and Tiran Island. In general, they were most concerned about the "vaporization" of excursions. It is clear that everyone wants to make money. But we must also take into account that many are in Sharm for the first time, such tourists need to be explained where you can really swim, where beaches are open, where not. This is especially true in the current, rather difficult situation after the "shark crisis"...
Now about animation. She was exactly to our taste: calm, unobtrusive, quiet. What you need! All the guys are very friendly and sociable. And how brilliantly they danced at the NG dinner! Especially warm greetings from Samara to a young man named Imat and a girl Olga from Tyumen, who work as part of the animation team.

Separately, I want to say about the New Year's dinner. Everything was just wonderful, very beautiful and stylish. A beautifully decorated tent, an interesting program, delicious dishes. . . A little let down, however, by a DJ who was overly carried away by "club motives" (the people in general wanted more universal music), but this is a trifle. But what really upset me a lot was the behavior of our compatriots, for whom it was a shame not only to us, who had already seen a lot, but even to young people from Yekaterinburg and Rostov-on-Don, who were sitting at our table. It is precisely the abundance of our compatriots and, especially, representatives of Ukraine in the hotel - the most unpleasant impression of the rest. If you do not want to see these "specials" nearby, you should not choose this hotel. At least during "peak periods". Well, we just tried not to notice them, although, I confess, it was difficult to do this... : )
But let's not talk about sad things. Let's also say that a 5-minute walk from the hotel is the center "El Mercato". A kind of corner of Italy in Sharm. Very cute and even romantic place! We often went there for a walk. And a little further, about 200 meters away, there are the 1001 Nights complex and the largest disco in Sharm, Dolce Vita. This is about entertainment. However, we preferred to go to Naama. Fortunately, every day at 8 pm there is a free bus from the hotel to Naama. Very comfortably! We managed to take a walk along our beloved Naama, and visit the new walking area of Sharm - SOHO, which is next to the SAVOY hotel. There is a color-musical fountain in the evenings. A very beautiful sight!
In general, the New Year's tour to Sharm was a success. Have a great rest! The third day in Samara, outside the window is snow and frost, and, of course, we already remember "SOLYMAR SHARMING INN". It was great and, most importantly, WARM. In every way! . .
