Let's start right away with the fact that one of the main criteria for choosing a hotel was the availability of beach volleyball. The hotel met this criterion - in the photo and in the description there is an excellent volleyball court. And that was the first bummer. Further, when choosing, be sure to have the first coastline - here it is partially fair, the presence of coral - here 5 stars, normal rooms - here it is ambiguous. Now about everything in more detail.
Let's start with check-in. We arrived at the hotel at 11 pm (in theory, a paid overnight stay). At the reception we were greeted rather coldly, they made copies of documents and sent us to our room. There were no conversations about wishes and choice of room. A porter delivered our things to our room - this was a plus, because we were tired from the road and after a long flight.
The number given was 2154 - this is the second building (first digit) and the first floor (second digit). There are 5 buildings in total - 1 is closest to the sea, and so on. Now about the number.
The room was on the first floor, which immediately excluded it from our choice. Returning to the reception and saying that we only needed a room on the second floor, we received a categorical refusal with the wording that it was impossible to change the room in the evening, and this issue would be resolved only at 12-00 tomorrow. No amount of persuasion and explanation that we couldn’t sleep with the doors open (and therefore on the street) had no effect. As stated above, the reception was very cold, which was confirmed later.
Actually about the number. Large in size. The decoration was originally conceived to resemble a medieval castle - forged linings on the doors, forged hinges, a forged chest instead of a cabinet, and so on. But in general, the furniture and plumbing are tired, they haven’t seen repairs for a long time. There was a plate with sliced “plastic” cheese, 2 buns, 2 oranges. There was no water. The bedding was completely missing pillowcases, and the pillows themselves were covered in yellow stains - either sweat or water. Tough.
At the reception we told about the lack of bedding - they replied that everything would be sorted out. But no one showed up with the long-awaited pillowcases. I had to sleep on pillows wearing my own CLEAN T-shirts. And on that very first night we felt all the mosquito horror of Egypt). There were a lot of them, and mosquito spray only helped for a couple of hours. This is how the five-star Sharm Plaza hotel greeted us.
The next day, after meeting with the guide, at the reception they also coldly offered to look at room 2240. It suited us quite well - the second floor, smaller in size, but quite spacious, the same style, side sea view, main view of the garden in the courtyard. In this room, all the bedding and pillowcases were new and neat. So we stopped here.
Now about nutrition.
Well, the fact that bottled water can only be found in one bar at the reception is of course a minus. So lovers of clean water should remember this road well).
The food in the canteen is, of course, very meager, and there can be no talk of any kind of top five. Breakfast is standard - eggs, omelettes (both are given out individually at the counter next to the buffet), tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, milk soup, local sausages, grilled vegetables, fruits (in April these are tangerines, oranges, melons) and absolutely some greenery. The lack of greenery, of course, was very surprising - in 10 days they gave arugula once, basil was only on the decorations of the dishes, no spinach, parsley and the like. The standard coffee accompaniments include local buns and toast, croissants, again plastic cheese, butter - although butter is given out individually in the same place as boiled eggs and omelet. The coffee, surprisingly for Egypt, is ground, boiled, filtered - of course there is no aroma, but still not instant, and this is a plus.
There is a little more food for lunch) But again, with a caveat. The fruits are the same, only guava is added.
The selection of fresh products was the same, sometimes boiled beets and salads of tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers appeared. There was always one type of soup - vegetable soup, cream soup, and noodle soup alternated. The main course is always stewed vegetables (cabbage, zucchini, carrots), rice, the rest alternates - either moussaka, then vegetables stewed with minced beef, or asparagus beans (very rarely). Eggplant was also rare, mostly as a garnish in stews. Now about the meat - everything is really bad - chicken bones are again given out individually at the counter described above, and they put in 1-2 pieces, then you have to ask, or come again for the same small 1-2 pieces, but this time to a dissatisfied cook. There was almost always fish, and in 90% of cases it was mackerel, and 90 percent of the time it was tails (it’s difficult to explain why, but it’s a fact). I wrote about beef above - a mixture of minced meat in stewed vegetables, and not every day.
Well, as a condiment to the whole description of the dining room - all the running out of food items on sale are renewed very slowly, sometimes you have to wait 20 minutes after the tomatoes or goulash have run out for new ones to be brought.
Bars. The bar at the reception is apparently open 24 hours a day. When we didn't go there, the bartender was always there. The bartenders here are smiling, open, and not greedy. The bar on the beach is open from 10-00, here, too, they always smiled nicely and greeted you when you met. The bar in the dining room is open during opening hours of the dining room. When working in bars, local alcohol is free, juices like yuppie are also available. More serious alcohol (such as branded whiskey, rakia), cocktails, fresh juices - for an additional fee (from $1 and above).
By the way. There are 3 restaurants on site - Italian, Lebanese, French (the last one is inaccurate). In theory they are free, but again with a caveat. Sign up for restaurants on the day of your visit at 10 am at the reception.
For the Lebanese restaurant they asked for $5 per person, the rest were free. But in the restaurant itself, only the same dishes that are served in the dining room are free; if you order something different, you have to pay for it; alcohol is also paid. Pizza in an Italian restaurant – $5. In short, we were very surprised with the restaurants.
Now about the beach.
The beach is made in the form of terraces - 3 levels in the rock, strewn with sand. At the same levels there are umbrellas and sun loungers. Descent between levels by steps. Entering the sea on a pontoon. There is only one pontoon, small, narrow, and given the wind, it is quite difficult for two people or people with walking impairments to walk through. There is a lifeguard sitting on the pontoon - very cheerful and positive, he always helps with personal belongings (phone, glasses), he also helped the elderly to get along the pontoon to the sun loungers. In short, a good, kind person! From the pontoon you immediately find yourself at a depth of 5-7 meters, and when you swim a couple of meters to the buoys, the bottom is no longer visible and the deep blue sea begins.
In fact, there is no sandy beach. Of course, you can go down from the rocky shore 1 meter high onto the white sand, but this is not for everyone - it is not suitable for children and the elderly. And the shallows to the corals are only 2-3 meters wide, and the depth is up to 0.5 meters. In short, with small children it will be very difficult to find a way to splash in the sea. I will say that the neighboring hotels provide all this and have a beautiful sandy shore and beach.
Beach volleyball. Here, of course, there is game for connoisseurs. The mesh is saggy and frayed. There are no normal markings - strings are stretched on bottles of water. The sand is dirty, with some fragments of stones, sticks, garbage - on which almost everyone who played injured their feet and knees. At the same time, the beach area itself is strewn with a thin layer of sand, under which there is immediately rock - this is painful and traumatic. The site is located on the second level of beach terraces, 5 meters from the cliff into the sea, behind a low fence 1 meter high.
And this was in April, when the air warmed up to 32-34 degrees. But these are minor things, they didn’t freeze for sure).
This is how we remember the Sharm Plaza ***** hotel.

After such a "rest" in Egypt, not a foot!
From the pros: the first line, a good beach and reefs, a huge green area, a Moorish-style hotel, It was once built with chic.
That's all!

The whole concept of the hotel is extortion! Each hotel employee is trying to make money on vacationers, starting with the reception, ending with the cleaner of the premises.
$15 for early check-in, $15 for changing from a standard room to a comfortable one. Wi Fi $15 catches from time to time. There is a pot-bellied TV in the room, a refrigerator yellowed from time ...The rooms are thoughtful ...
You can close your eyes to all this, if not for the most important thing - food.
The worst thing is the food! The dining room, otherwise you can’t call it, is dirty, tables, chairs do not correspond to five stars, a maximum of two. crockery gray, chipped. Complete unsanitary conditions in the dining room! Waiters in their dirty clothes, who is wearing what.
An exorbitant huge number of staff who eat with vacationers! Coffee is poured from the boiler. Tea is cheap in bags, and it is always out of the basket, the worker reports at the request of vacationers: either he will bring several bags in his palm, or he will get it out of his jeans pocket ...
There is no meat from the word at all, in 9 days there was beef twice, which cannot be chewed. Once there was a so-called chicken, but these were pieces of soup sets, only ridges ...
A couple of times under the beef label there were meatballs in which the smell of meat was very distant! The quality of food leaves much to be desired, not tasty, not edible, disgusting smell, sometimes you just had to spit out food on a plate. There is no choice of food, especially the buffet and does not smell. I took the fish once: it is small and bony, with a disgusting smell, cooked with scales! Cooking is not for people!
The chef enters the hall with an angry expression, yelling at people when people are outraged by the quality of food or its absence.
Bar. Low quality alcohol, drinking water in 0.5 liter bottles is given when you ask. There is no drinking water in the rooms. Bring if you order delivery to the room for $ 2.
They don’t let you relax on the beach, all sorts of sticky people constantly impose their services: from the spa, waiters and other employees of cafes, bars ...They constantly impose their services for an additional fee. If you don't pay, they treat you rudely. I took beer a couple of times, they don’t want to give anything for free, as if you’re not asking for your paid.

Housekeeping: At 8 am, he knocks insistently and offers cleaning for $1. Poor quality shampoo, household soap! There are absolutely none of those washing accessories that are in the advertising photos. Cleaning is not done properly, so for the sake of appearance, the cleaner openly extorts money!
Spa only paid!
If you talk to the staff in a friendly way, they try to violate personal space, climb up to hug, and some characters openly offer sex.
The last straw was that in the a la carte restaurant I was simply kicked out rudely collecting cutlery from the table. They said: - you already ate everything for free. At first they put a menu with meat dishes for a fee. When she refused, they began to openly be rude. Free menu: tomato soup, coleslaw, fried pasta with garlic and herbs.
You feel like a low-class person, despite the fact that you paid a lot of money for the rest of $ 1300 per person!
Vacation ruined, vacation and birthday present failed! For the first time in my life, I fly away from the so-called vacation with a feeling of dissatisfaction, humiliation and misunderstanding: what was the money spent for, why such an open boorish attitude!?
Avoid this hotel!
The all inclusive includes disgusting food, dirty rooms and an openly boorish attitude!

Horror. Disappointing and a waste of money. If you want to spoil your vacation, the impression about Egypt as a country, so that you never want to come back here again, then you definitely need to visit Sharm Plaza, which, by the way, has one pathetic name from the plaza. In order.
1. It was expected to see a 5-star hotel, as stated, but in fact it turned out to be so frail 3 that even it should have been demolished and forgotten a long time ago. The hotel experienced its best times 30 years ago. I'm not kidding. Old. Filthy. Dusty. Gloomy. Dilapidated. No one invested in the reconstruction and even minor repairs. A feeling of melancholy, sadness, complete despondency from the interior and exterior, a feeling of where I ended up and where my things are.

Hotel entrance and reception. The first thing that caught my eye was unwashed, patched windows, a layer of dust at the reception, a sticky wooden counter, no air conditioning, dusty broken sofa chairs and exhausted reception staff.
Early check-in (and this is at 9 am) - plus 15 dollars. Checking into a room with a balcony (otherwise they will be settled in a box without windows and doors) cost another $ 50 to the manager. The staff is in dirty T-shirts, sloppy, constantly sweating due to the lack of air conditioning and in the eyes of everything there is one dumb answer - dollars, dollars, dollars ...

Number. From what I see, I want to stand up ...There is no central light - only a lonely bedside lamp gives a sad meager light. The air conditioner rumbles like a herd of elephants. It hums and howls all the time. Turning it off is not an option - you can die from the heat. Rusty broken plumbing, dirty toilet, ruined sink, shower running on its last legs. There is almost never hot water, and cold water disappears every other day. Surprised that there is not even such a trifle as a toilet brush. Exactly like the hoods in the "bathroom". Gray towels. Bed linen was not changed even once in 10 days. There is no kettle, coffee and tea, as usual in 5 star hotels.
At my request for an additional fee to bring a kettle and a cup into the room, they said it was not provided. But for $15 they'll bring me coffee in my room. What coffee? the one in the canteen (the language would not dare to call it a restaurant) - gray slops, which have one name from coffee. An old TV from my grandmother's time. There is no dryer - the laundry had to be dried on a wooden balcony, having previously washed it from dust and dirt on its own and risking every time that it would fall to the ground. Ruined almost all white things, as there were stains from the tree.

Internet. Separate pain and nightmare. It just DOES NOT exist!! ! Keep in mind - not just "does not work well": really NO. There is Wi-Fi at the reception, but the managers turn it off and every time they brazenly make a surprised face that they have technical problems. There is a dude in the hotel who sells Vodafone SIM cards. DO NOT BUY! There is not even half of the declared gigabytes.
My son and I bought one SIM card for $ 25 for 10 GB, which disappeared somewhere in a very tight economy mode ...in two days. Buy a card at the airport, and not vodafone, but orange or etisalat. Or you just need to go to the city for it. It costs 2 times cheaper and there is a real Internet, and not a swindler for all the money in the world. Then we were surprised to learn that you can simply top up your account for 6 bucks and get the same 10 GB, which at least does not go down the drain.

Food. Poor, monotonous, tasteless. There is no feeling that you are full, even if you eat three additional servings. Poorly made with poor quality ingredients. Terrible serving - sticky dirty wooden tables, to which elbows stick (still disgusting, as I recall), a lot of unpleasant kitchen smells - there is no air conditioning in the "restaurant" either, no napkins on the table - a knife and a fork, that's all the serving for you. Everything smells bad.
I don’t want to touch anything, coffee is slop from a tank with a faucet (they didn’t hear about a coffee machine here). And the hit of the season - NO CUPS! Pour yourself into plastic cups and burn your fingers as you carry it to the table. The "restaurant" itself is nasty, dirty, smelly, with stains on the walls and wooden panels, staff in dirty clothes and with sweaty foreheads. Never had an appetite. They doused themselves with an antiseptic three times per meal.

Bar and drinks. There is no "inclusive" here from the word at all! If you thought there, mojito, Pina collada, whiskey or dry wine - forget it. At the most, they will pour you beer into a small plastic cup at the bar on the beach, and over time, when you do not leave a tip, they will each time say that you need to wait for the beer - the car has broken down !! ! By the way, I don’t want to leave a tip there, it’s just fundamental.
At the bar of free beer, coke, sprite and type of juice (filled in nonsense): paid drinks start at $3 for a non-alcoholic mojito. Once I took my son ice coffee for 3 bucks - rare slops. Don't buy - they are not worth it. The wine in the type bar is dry free, but it tastes like young calf piss from the same sad plastic cup. Warm, nasty, tasteless. Like the rum that I was once offered to pour - just a bunch of ice and 2 ml of rum.

Service and courtesy. Haven't heard of this service. Hotel management don't give a shit about tourists. There is not a single pleasant little thing that you usually get in 5 stars when you want to smile at the staff and leave a tip. Arrogant, rude, often intrusive. Honestly, I just wanted to go to the beach, not see anyone and not talk to anyone. Poor and very primitive animation with their eternal "aram zam zam guli-guli"...
once we went with my son to an evening "performance" - melancholy and sadness, just sitting and drinking water will not work, and they won't bring you beer for free. A glass of normal wine costs 8 bucks. By the way, about water - they give it to the lobby at the rate of ...one bottle per person !! ! In Egypt. Water. One bottle of 0.5 per person...I had to argue with the staff and demand water.

The general impression is to howl from anguish. There is no feeling that you are rested. That I visited a 5 star hotel - no. Never before have I been so happy to pack my things and run away from a hotel. I won’t go to Egypt anymore - I know there are good hotels (last year we were in Albatros Palace - a sea of u200bu200bpositive! ), but the impression has already been spoiled forever. Of the good only the sea and a beautiful rich reef. No matter how I tried to think positively and console myself with the sea and fish, the gloomy mood returned every time I encountered staff, lack of service and basic amenities.
For aesthetes, in general, death, honestly ...If you are already there and see this whole nightmare, change the hotel. Contact the tour operator, spend more time, yes, but at least DON'T ruin your vacation.

The hotel is NOT 5 stars. Three maximum and with a stretch, but they fight like from 5 matches. It is high time to close or demolish, or sell to the owner who loves his job and will do for people and with love. Spoiled vacation and the nasty impression that you were stupidly scammed for money .. .

The territory is large and beautiful, but ...There are so many "buts" that, unfortunately, the territory and the sea do not cover all the shortcomings.

Starting from the beginning. Luggage delivery to the room from the receptionist costs $1. This is a must! To "thank you" or a chocolate bar, the guy aggressively insists on getting money. The room is not a rest room, but a horror room! Very dirty from the word. The bed is dirty with hair and mascara on the pillow from a previous vacationer. Dust everywhere in four fingers!! ! The shower is red, rusty, smelly. It can be seen that I have never seen detergents in my life. Washed in slippers because it was scary to step into the booth. For a room with a track or a balcony, they refused to pay extra $ 75, so swimwear was dried on a palm tree under the window!
The room is cleaned daily, but this is not cleaning, but making your bed)) No one washed or changed anything even for the left reward.
Kitchen. If you are on a protein diet - bingo! For breakfast, lunch and dinner you will have rice, cabbage and eggs...Eggs fried, boiled, steamed... )) There is very little food, it is always empty and everything is insipid. Vegetables are not peeled and raw. Tablecloths are dirty and torn. The plates were broken and were often poorly washed. It’s good that they didn’t sit on the “pots” from this food. By the way, "pots" is another story. All toilets in the hotel are leaking, very dirty, paper and soap for the holiday.

Alcohol. Beer on the beach and in the lobby bar was like water, in small plastic glasses and always ran out. Getting cold beer is another challenge! Cocktails for $3 disgusting from local alcohol made of plastic. Alcohol is better not to try at all. From 50 grams of local brandy, enterosgel was soldered for a day. Service. Well, this! There are normal guys.
There are very arrogant people waiting for a dollar reward! Internet. Only at the reception. And then barely.

Beach. There were free sun loungers, there was enough space, but everything was broken and old. The beds are torn, the tables are broken. The pool is one heated, but dirty, the toilet knows where. The rest of the pools are cold. The slides are non-working. The children's pool is cold and by the way there is no baby food here either. If I went here with a child, I don’t even know what kind of offer in the dining room could be given to the child. All inclusive is so-so. Pay for everything!! ! In general, if it were not for our big cheerful company, the rest would have been spoiled for sure! Sharm Plaza would not recommend for sure! The trouble here is complete! (this is me softly).

The room in the third building is decent. The disadvantage is an ancient TV without the ability to connect peripherals. Room cleaning daily is excellent. Good soundproofing from neighbors. But it does not save you from a disco with crappy equipment.
The hotel guide is an undercover tour salesman. All problems are solved at the reception.
The reef is lively and interesting.
The device of the beach is good, with the possibility of choosing a place “according to interests”. You can hide from wheezing speakers if you like silence.
The organization of entry - exit to the sea is weak, with congestion and traffic jams.
Sunbeds, umbrellas - working. From time to time, citizens slaughter them for future use, creating an artificial shortage.
The dining room (two years ago - a restaurant with waiters) offers good food (greens are forbidden from the word "absolutely"? ). The spirit of the St. Petersburg gateway hovers in it. Exhausted by the sanctions, citizens are fighting for resources (cutlets, plates, forks, tables), rendering some of the products unusable. Women try sauces from a ladle, men squeeze rolls. Pockets are stuffed with food. Aggression is on the rise. Germans, Ukrainians, Kazakhs and other weaklings huddle in amazement in the corners. The attendants move in dashes, bending down. The solution is not to eat. Dine in restaurants on site or on the go.
The hotel is located at the "leg" of the letter "T". Old Town and Naomi - in the left console of the crossbar. Taxi - 4... 5$ car one way. Soho - right console. Will offer "there - back" - do not agree. This is an easy form of divorce. You find yourself in a web of agreement between the taxi driver and the seller, depriving you of the freedom of choice. And in general, here you are a game. Tip: more cynicism.
Bar. Given to the concession "Owner". Bartenders are afraid of him: “The owner allowed me to pour 2x100 bira in one hand. Rugait. He doesn't care about the rating of the hotel. Attitude towards customers is the attitude of a huckster to junkies. Citizens generally take it for granted. (Pancakes on a shovel). There are three non-faithful bartenders in the main bar with the skills of a pro. A pack of cigarettes would be helpful. Beer is excellent. But the beach quickly runs out - savings... Solution - beer is bought in the market. This is "ALL INCLUSIVE".
Bring with you: a fumigator, unbreakable glasses, new dollars (banknotes of past issues or with blots are not accepted), original swimming accessories (fakes are sold here).
What to buy: drugs. The price in all pharmacies is the same, very attractive. The quality is high. For falsification - kirdyk. Pharmacists are professionals. Payment cards roll. In the hotel pharmacy a little more expensive, but taking into account transport costs - not critical.
Conclusions: The hotel is organizationally tailored for well-fed people. Buffet, tips, waiters for citizens of camp training are contraindicated in the absence of orderlies.
If we are up to 10% of the contingent, CHARM PLAZA is 5 Egyptian stars.
30% - shakes him, 2 stars fall into the drooping grass.
50% - OUR CHARM!

The hotel was closed during the coronacrisis, opened only in September.
The first negative impression is the toilets at the reception. In my opinion, they are simply not washed, dirty black washbasins, toilet paper and soap are missing.
We settled in building 7 - upstairs, room 7105.
The room is old - the safe was buggy, the toilet did not work during check-in, the door lock was buggy every day, the "masters" came every other day, even changed the lock, but it didn't really help. The quest - the door does not come off - was daily.
The room was cleaned maybe 1 time, the rest of the time they only made the bed and threw out the garbage. Gray towels, 1 per person.
The food is quite standard for budget 5, you won’t leave hungry, but you shouldn’t count on super variety either. Cups were sometimes not enough. Why for dinner to cover the tables with dirty rags a la tablecloths is not understood.
At lunch, you can go to a restaurant on the beach, the choice of dishes there is 2 times less, but there is a beautiful view of the sea.
The territory is more or less well-groomed.
The beach is three-tiered, everyone was placed, but the lower tiers must be occupied early in the morning.
The beds are old but not broken.
The pontoon is plastic, short.
The reef is very beautiful, especially to the left of the pontoon, there are a lot of fish.
There is a spa. Masseurs are good. Ignore their prices. For 15-20 dollars for a back massage, you can negotiate.
Despite the tired infrastructure, and all the shortcomings described, for the sake of such a reef, you can fly here again.

The hotel is full. In all restaurants, dirt is everywhere. Going to the toilet is disgusting.
Staff tired, dirty, embittered. Often rude. They act like you owe them.
Eternal shortage of spoons and forks.
Take glasses with you.
Forget drinks. They are often either absent or intermittent.
Who remembers the beautiful colorful reef is in the past.
Food - you won't go hungry. But the choice is very modest. Take food with you.
The rooms are all on the snot.
Restaurants a la carte - the darkness of the service.
I really wish this hotel had 3 stars. The hotel management is trying with all its might to squeeze every penny out of it. Compared to 2016, things got worse. It's a pity.

From half past 5 in the morning until 12:30 we were not fed. Food before lunch was paid. My girlfriend and I were given a room not for a couple, with one bed, but with two separate beds. The reception staff is unfriendly, as if we owe them something to give. We waited a long time to settle in. My girlfriend and I were given a room not for a couple, with one bed, but with two separate beds.
The reception staff is unfriendly, as if we owe them something to give. We waited a long time to settle in. Bed linen has not been changed.
The hotel area has not been cleaned. There are few sunbeds on the beach, 30% of them are broken. There are no complaints about the sea, the coral reef is gorgeous. The bar on the beach worked fine.
The 2 free restaurants we booked into would not recommend at all. The food is terrible, the pizza doesn't taste like pizza. Wine - a complete shmurdyak, beer - normal.
In the main restaurant the food is less than 3 stars and not tasty. There are not enough dishes, no one cleans the tables, you had to run after the staff and ask. Of the fruits, only melon, dates and pomelo.
There are few exercise machines in the gym, 50% are non-working.
The show program is the same.
Overall I didn't like it and wouldn't recommend it.
