We arrived on January 5.2014 from Estonia with my wife for a 2-week all-inclusive vacation. We chose this hotel because it was recommended to us by a friend of our family who has been resting in it constantly for 4 years. We do not regret our choice a bit and as time has shown, our positive expectations were justified in full. The service at the hotel was really good and we were very pleased with our stay.

We arrived around 18:00. While settled, they brought us delicious cocktails - a trifle, but nice. We immediately noticed that there are small shops in the lobby where you can buy Egyptian souvenirs, aromatic oils and other rubbish. They also sell sun cream, beach coral slippers, masks, snorkels and fins, and without them, just swimming on the beaches, you will not be able to see and enjoy the beauty of corals and fish to the fullest.
Wi-Fi is free, but only in the lobby / reception of the hotel (this is normal, because in most hotels in Egypt Wi-Fi is paid, even at the reception).


The rooms are spacious and clean with a shower, a bath, a set of towels, a hairdryer, satellite TV (2 programs, even Russian ones, on the first channel they also constantly play an introductory demo about the hotel itself - how to use the safe, additional services, opportunities, etc. ). All rooms with balconies, also of course there is air conditioning, safe, refrigerator! , telephone and other necessary things. Everything worked and there were no problems. They cleaned and changed linen constantly - well done. They make various swans and elephants from towels. They left the cleaners a dollar each, and also threw up "for good service" and bartenders, because their salaries are low and they really need every "penny". They did it voluntarily, they themselves did not ask and did not beg. The staff is polite and friendly.
They always say hello first and ask if everything is in order, if you need anything. Everyone speaks English. and Russian - no problem. Then we learned that more than half of this hotel is usually filled with tourists from Russia and Ukraine, the rest - from Poland, the Baltic states and Western Europe. We have never heard of the employees stealing anything in this hotel, they are OK with that.

Food "for slaughter" and everything is delicious, a lot of different dishes, especially pastries. There is always fish or some kind of meat - beef, lamb, chicken, duck, turkey or tongue). Pork will not wait, you understand - the East, Islam. Although there are Copts in Sharm el-Sheikh - Egyptian Christians. So, the food is "buffet" and the good thing is that the choice of dishes is quite large and it changes every day.
For breakfast, they always offer several types of omelettes, boiled eggs, and if you want, the chef will quickly prepare a personal scrambled egg in a frying pan in front of your eyes (fried eggs, or with tomatoes, or with onions, or with herbs). In the restaurant you can eat both in the inner hall of the restaurant and on the outdoor restaurant terrace with a beautiful view of the shopping and entertainment center / Naama Bay area (where there are various cafes, restaurants, discos, market trade, shops, etc. ) View from the terrace stunning - on the right is the sea bay, just below the hotel is the beautiful center of Naama Bay and in the distance outside the city there are big mountains! We can say that the food at the hotel is even five meals a day: breakfast in the main restaurant from 7:00 - 10:00, then a morning snack at the pool bar from 10:30 - 11:30 (pastries / cheese / cold snacks), then lunch at the main restaurant from 13:00 - 15:00, then another snack at the pool bar (pizza / snacks) and in the evening from 19:00 - 22:00 dinner at the restaurant.

In addition to the main meal for dinner, they always do something on the grill on the restaurant terrace (burgers, kebabs, fish or liver - we recommend, very tasty! ). If during your stay at the hotel someone’s birthday falls out, then at dinner, with “all honest people”, the hotel employees will dance or sing to the birthday man and present a surprise cake from the hotel (only you need to notify the hotel administration about your birthday ).

If you came on the "all inclusive" system, then there will be no problems with drinks. Tea (good), cocoa (good), coffee (granulated, not very... ) cola, sprite, juices or drinking water from coolers can be obtained without problems and without restrictions from 7:00 to 23:00. In restaurants and bars, you can also order freshly squeezed juice for $2. Alcohol is also free - draft beer, vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, but only locally produced (less strong and only taste like these drinks).
Good alcohol should be taken with you. Pour without restriction during lunch and dinner in the restaurant, also in the lobby bar or pool bar from 10:00 - 23:00.

There are two swimming pools on the inside of the hotel. One is heated (water is about +28C), the other is with chilled water. Around the pools are sun loungers with mattresses for sunbathing, there were enough places for everyone. Large beach towels will be given to you on a card (get it upon arrival at the reception), then they will be constantly changed at your first request. If you go to other yarns of the hotel in Naama Bay or to the beach in Hadaba, do not forget to take this towel with you. The hotel has a good animation team working daily, which conducts various recreational activities with hotel residents on the territory of the hotel and in the pools - yoga, aqua aerobics, water polo, mini-bowling, darts, table tennis, volleyball, etc.
Every evening at 21:30 there are performances of some artists - fakirs, oriental dances, snake shows, quizzes, competitions, etc. There is a playground on the territory of the hotel and the animation team constantly spends time and games with children as well - it was very nice to see. The interior is cleaned quickly and thoroughly, everywhere is always clean and tidy. Near the pools and the bar there is a Bedouin tent (hookah, coffee), massage + manicure, pedicure and hairdressers. services (all this for an additional fee). Behind the hotel there is a mini green garden.


The hotel has two beaches, one in Naama Bay right next to the Wind beach hotel (small, few fish and corals), it is better to go to another distant beautiful beach of the hotel - Hadaba beach, where we spent all our time sunbathing and swimming among the abundance of beautiful corals and fish. This beach is considered one of the best in Charles El Sheikh.
There, while snorkeling (swimming with masks, snorkels and fins), we managed to take underwater photos and videos not only of the beauty of the underwater world of the Red Sea (beautiful fish, a variety of corals, coral hollows, pits), but also to see and photograph stingrays and moray eels, which are not unusual on this beach. There is sand on the beach and when entering the sea, but then corals immediately begin, so it’s better not to go barefoot into the sea (better in corral slippers or flippers). They themselves saw how tourists in the water cut their feet on corals or stepped on sea urchins, after which they needed medical help. On both beaches of the hotel, special minibuses constantly carry their clients back and forth (free of charge). To the nearest beach in Naama Bay from 9:00 - 17:00 (with an interval of 30 minutes, travel time 7 minutes), to a distant beautiful beach in Hadaba from 8:30 - 17:00 (interval 1-1.5 hours, time on the way 15-17 minutes). On the beaches of the hotel, the all-inclusive system does not work.
Canned beer, cola, sprite - $ 3, tea, coffee - $ 1.5. Pizza, burger - about 10 dollars. Fins and mask rental - $ 3 / day. Massage on the beach 20 - 25 dollars.
The weather from 5 to 19 January was clear (only one day was cloudy). The air temperature was +25…+29С (at night +14…+17С), sea water +23…+24С. This is good, warm weather for their winter. There were no winds, on the contrary - when the breeze blew a little on the beach, we were only glad (the sun did not feel that way).

The good thing is that the hotel stands at the top of the cliff, and from it you can directly go down the stairs and immediately get to the Naama Bay shopping and entertainment center. There is everything you need for entertainment. You can sit in cafes, drink coffee, smoke hookah or try the national hot milk drink sahlab (Middle Eastern style pudding drink, very tasty).

In the same place, in Naama Bay, you can dance in discos or sing karaoke - it's not a problem, there's a lot of it all there. It is in Naama Bay that you can and should do shopping, but you must be able to bargain, because usually the first price announced by the merchant exceeds the real value of the goods by about two, sometimes three times. And the Egyptians are still those merchants who are taught this skill from childhood. Therefore, it is initially wiser to find a store with fixed prices (and this is a rarity there), take a closer look at the goods and prices, and only then “go into battle” and bargain with market traders. One of these shops with low fixed prices in Naama Bay is called Pamorama Star, which is located 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel, walk down the stairs to Naama Bay, then turn right and walk about 200-300m meters (souvenirs, knitwear , bags, beach accessories, shoes, etc. ).
They have the lowest prices we have seen in Naama Bay. In any case, if you manage to get a better price from a merchant on the market for the same product than a fixer. the price in the store - it will be a feat, but we have not heard anything about this. But at the same time, the markets have a wider choice and sell a lot of things that are simply not available in stores. It is also better to buy food and drinks in stores with fixed prices, for example, in the center of Naama Bay, this is the market Carrefour store (food, drinks, cigarettes, cosmetics, fruits, vegetables, sweets, canned food, etc. ). There are ATMs both inside the Carrefour market and in Naama Bay itself (there are really few of them) - there were no problems when withdrawing money (money is issued in local currency - Egyptian pounds). It is more profitable to pay in local currency, and it is best to change it in official exchangers, we do not recommend doing it on the street (you can lose up to 20% in exchange rates). Lots of praise for Mahony seafood specialty restaurant (10 min.
walk from the hotel, visible from the restaurant terrace), although you can also order seafood dishes at the hotel on the a La Carte menu for an additional fee (prices are normal) or in numerous other cafes / restaurants on Naama Bay.

As for excursions, it is generally better to purchase them from representatives of your tour operators upon arrival in Sharm, or from local excursion companies (there are a lot of them in Naama Bay, every 200 meters). Here, as they say, there is a “double-edged sword”: on the one hand, local prices for the same excursion can be 30-40% less, on the other hand, there is a risk of receiving a poor-quality service. Here, everyone must decide on their own at their own peril and risk (or better experience). We personally used the services of our tour operator and all our excursions were well organized and conducted. At the same time, many old-timers buy from trusted locals.

In conclusion, we can say that we really liked this hotel and if someone wants to have a calm and comfortable rest at a good price-quality ratio, then Sharm Cliff Resort will be the right and good choice. We ourselves will be happy to come to this hotel again and recommend it to our friends and acquaintances for a holiday in Sharm El Sheikh.
