I stayed with my wife at the end of November.
arrival:
we flew to the airport (not the best and rather small), where we were waiting in line for check-in. I was surprised that some airport workers were praying on rugs right in the building. having stood in line and having difficulty finding our things, we got into the bus that was waiting for us, by which we were taken to the hotel. the guide did not try very hard to accommodate us as quickly as possible. tourists were waiting for him on the bus going to other hotels. so we had to accommodate ourselves. no one wanted to pay attention to us until money was invested in passports. but after that we were given a room near the sea.
on this, in principle, the cons are almost over.
the hotel is quite large and well maintained. There are, of course, people who are impossible to please, but personally I liked it. no mosquitoes, very friendly staff. Most of the guests were foreigners.
I would like to say a special thank you for cleaning the room.

this procedure went like this: first, the man who cleaned the rooms knocked on the door and asked when he could come to clean the room, and then at the appointed time he came and put things in such order that from the second day I began to leave him a tip of $ 2 per day. gratitude. the cleaning was so thorough that even the socks I threw under the bed were taken out and neatly folded. For example, in Turkey, in a 5-star hotel, the maid burst into the room like a hurricane, not paying attention to the fact that I was lying naked on the bed and pretended that I did not understand either Russian or English. dog, in a word.
nutrition.
caused no complaints. everything is quite tasty and satisfying. not to compare, of course, with what our mothers cook, but still very dignified and friendly.
On the territory there are cafes and bars where you can have a drink and a snack at any time.
I won’t say anything about alcohol, because. I don’t drink alcohol, but everything else is fine. My wife ate herself to death at breakfast and said that she wouldn’t go to lunch (so as not to get better), then there was lunch (supposedly to drink tea), she ate at dinner under the guise of refusing dinner, but on dinner was repeated.
the only thing to remember is that how people treat us can depend on how we treat them.
and if from the first day you behave like a bestial, then you can get the same attitude in return.
sea!!!!!!!!!
this is a separate, and not even a story, but a song !!!
I have never seen such beauty in my life. plunging into the Red Sea, you understand that land is only a small part of earthly nature and that another, extraordinarily beautiful world reigns under water! although it is forbidden, but one day I took a couple of buns from a restaurant and decided to feed the fish underwater, so many of them flew that I was afraid that they would eat me! I started to swim to the side and felt that a fish was swimming right into the shorts, after which I felt a little uncomfortable (men will understand me). but everything worked out.
when there was a strong wind (40 percent of the daylight hours in November), the rescuers hung out a red flag, which indicated that diving on the reef was not allowed.

By the way, I completely forgot. the entrance to the sea in this hotel passes through the panton 800m long. some people really like it, but for me personally, walking in the fresh air was not a problem and I even liked to take a walk. but when the red flag is posted, you can dive in the bay, where the depth is 8-10 meters in some places, which is enough for amateur diving. By the way, I once dived in this bay and I see two black hoses at the bottom...
strange, I think, everywhere is clean and no debris, but here are the hoses. I dive deeper to look, and one hose starts to move and looks at me...
in short, I swam out quickly! a lifeguard sits near the pantone, who makes sure that no one swims onto the reef during the wind. I tell him about two snakes. he says, they are not poisonous, so small, 50 cm each ???
I say: "no, more than a meter. "
he: "and these are poisonous, but they themselves rarely attack, only if they are disturbed! "
I didn't go to the sea that day.
staff.
some Arabs, which is typical for Egypt. not everyone understands Russian, so learn English better. characteristic for Arabs - scratching in the groin with a hand and, of course, molesting girls, especially blondes, but this is not as pronounced in the hotel as outside it.
the hotel has everything you need to relax: sun loungers, umbrellas near the pools and by the sea, gym, volleyball court (medium quality), football field (good! ), sauna, etc.
a little upset by the animation, which is clearly weaker than the Turkish one.
we didn’t go on excursions, we were only in the city at the bazaar, after which there was no longer any desire to leave the hotel territory.
the bazaar is a cluster of Georgian-Armenians with the skin of African-Americans.
from every store they shout: "hello, brother! where are you from? from ukraine? i'm from ukraine too! my wife is in ukraine! "
got tired of it after 10 minutes!
the trip back is another story altogether. caught a taxi. the car could crumble at any moment and in motion it was difficult to determine where the vibration was coming from: either from the car, or from me and my wife. On the way we crossed ourselves 100 times! perhaps this helped us to get there alive. then the taxi driver tried to... beat us for $ 5, but here it was a matter of principle for me and after a few phrases in "expressive, almost literary Russian" and the taxi driver, who had not understood English before, realized everything and found change!

I can say that I was very pleased with the rest! so in two weeks, at the end of October 2008, I'm going to the same hotel, but with my three-year-old daughter, wife and friends.
py. sy. if you have a yacht in Spain and you can’t decide whether to go on it to Monte Carlo or to Italy, if you didn’t like the service in Dubai, and the beaches of the Maldivian archipelago didn’t seem beautiful enough to you, then you might not like it in Egypt.
For everyone else, I highly recommend!
