I would like to share my impressions of visiting the Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort 5 *, Sharm El Sheikh. I will evaluate according to five criteria:
1) Quality of service, staff attitude;
2) Location of the room and the room itself;
3) Nutrition;
4) Territory;
5) Beach area, sea, animation.
Further, we will go through each item in detail and I consider my opinion to be extremely adequate.
First.
We started our journey in early April with Pegas Touristik, we really wanted to get to this particular hotel, according to numerous reviews, this hotel positioned itself as a strong five-star hotel, but in fact…

And so, let's start with the arrival. We arrived in Sharm at 21:30, we were met at the airport by representatives of the company and provided a transfer to the hotel. At the reception we were not very friendly, compared to the Italians. Italians are greeted with a smile and freshly squeezed orange juice. We arrived at the hotel closer to 23:00, so we were very tired and wanted to lie down as soon as possible. We were issued and the keys to the room were issued quickly enough and fed with a burger and tea, it was quite pleasant and unexpected. After a bite to eat, we and our luggage were picked up by a hotel worker and escorted to the room by Tuk-Tuk. He brought the luggage and began to expect something from us. A little sleepy and tired, we didn’t immediately understand what was happening, but a smart person gave us a clear hint with the words “Is that all? ”. We answered that there were no small dollars, but even here he showed his ingenuity, said that he accepts hryvnias and rubles! It was very funny to us and not so much, because they began to look for small hryvnias as well.

While we were driving to our room, namely 7315, the thought immediately flashed that we were being taken back to the airport, the hotel area is quite large. We were settled in the first house at the entrance to the hotel. Immediately, we began to panic a little, because we wanted to be closer to the sea and went to the reception with a request to settle us closer, to which we received an answer that there were no available rooms, they would be in a day, with an additional payment of $ 12 per day. This option did not suit us, so we put up and enjoyed the rest in the room that was allocated to us. The room itself, rather modest and a little dirty, especially the shower, if you can call it that. The room has a number of shortcomings that could be eliminated. The toilet flush button was broken, the doors of the cabinets were kept on a kind word, the air conditioner practically did not work, the balcony door did not close, the refrigerator did not cool, but heated! On the second day, we noticed that the Italians were accommodated closer to the reception.
The third.
You can talk a lot about nutrition, but I will be brief. The first two days, everything was fine, the food was varied and tasty. On the third day, everything was repeated and almost until the very eviction, everything was the same. For a couple of days, we even skipped lunch. From the exotic, they gave 1 time crabs and octopuses. The restaurant itself is comfortable, but in order to drink tea you need to catch the staff and beg for it, and even then we were not always able to wait for our cup of tea the first time. There was also an unpleasant situation when he approached the employee for tea, in response he received the phrase “What's up? ”.
Fourth.

Here the territory of the hotel and the way it is looked after is worthy of the highest praise. The area itself impressed us a lot. Cleaned daily, there are no yellow leaves on the palm trees, everything is green and very beautiful. Just perfect for beautiful photo shoots! ) Many pools, a mini water park is open from 10-12 and 14-16, a large number of bars. But at this time of the year, the pools are not heated and the water is freezing cold.
Fifth.
Alas, the beach area for such a hotel is not large, but this could be corrected if people did not take up space from five in the morning, covering sunbeds with towels and going to their room to rest. Throughout the rest, more than 50% of the sunbeds were noticed, and were not touched at the moment while we were on the beach from 8 to 12. People, what's the catch?
The reef here is amazing. There is something to see. There are also small sandy beaches for children.
As for the animation, it's practically non-existent. For a week of rest, on the beach, everything came to me only once, a guy came up and invited me to his event. In the evening, too, nothing to see. Children's animation is good, although we do not have children, but we watched children's animation out of boredom.
Let me summarize a little.
The hotel is not bad, if you really want to look at the most beautiful reef, then you will get it. Frankly, the hotel is not aimed at the Slavic audience. The hotel management makes comfortable conditions only for its own, that is, the Italians. I understand that everyone has their own opinion, but I think for $ 1200 it could be a little better.
And I almost forgot, a separate "Thanks" to our guide from Pegasus, Ahmed. We ordered a safari tour from him for $ 50, for two people, not only was the price not adequate, but we also didn’t get on this safari tour. The date was agreed on 04/24/19 at 14:00, we were in a hurry to have lunch in order to catch the transfer, but in vain. After waiting for the first twenty minutes, we wrote to him on Viber, he replied that the time was moved to 15:20. Arriving at the reception again at the agreed time, we still sat for half an hour, wrote to him again, he said that wait 10 minutes. After waiting another 15 minutes, we went to our room, and in the evening we took our money. In a word, spoiled mood and the day went nowhere.
