We rested in this hotel from August 12 to 23.2012. Just before departure, representatives of the tour operator contacted us and offered to replace it with a 5-ku (Concord Sport) without additional payment, but after reading a lot of “positive” reviews, we politely refused . Flight – Windrose, normal except for a delay of 1.5 hours both there and back. Upon check-in, they offered a better room (with a sea view and a balcony), we paid $ 40 for it for 11 nights.
Staff: polite and attentive. In some reviews they write that they run after the Italians, and ignore the rest, but the principle works here - as you are with people, so they are with you. We have not experienced any discrimination. Cleaning is normal, except that tips were left every day, and different figures were played to us only 3 times, but we did not come there for the figures. There is a free safe in the room, which we once forgot to close and nothing was missing.
Animation, I won’t argue here, there are really more Italian animators, and they are more active (they try to speak both Russian and English), but our girl Anya also tries very hard. After check-out at check-out (we had a late flight), no one cut off our bracelets, we could use the entire infrastructure of the hotel. They offer a free room so that you can take a shower and change clothes before departure.

The territory is green, everything is neat. Additional bars on the beach and near the pool, there is a gym, a diving center. We went for a walk to Il Mercato (Italian style street), 1000 and one night, went to Naama Bay (every evening a free shuttle bus from the hotel). Everything is quiet and calm in Sharm, except for the merchants))). On the beach, beach volleyball, tennis, football, a playground, and the mysterious Italian game of Bocce for us.
Food is excellent. True breakfasts are monotonous, but lunches and dinners are super.
There was always meat and fish and seafood, something different on the grill every day, and you can write a separate review for baking (positive). Snacks at the pool bar and beach bar (french fries, pizza, pasta, salads, soft drinks). Alcohol is free only for bottling beer and wine for lunch and dinner (beer - nothing, but wine - not impressed). But we did not go there to drink. During the rest, all vacationers can sign up for dinner at 2 of the 4 A la carte restaurants that are in Shores Aloha 4 *, Shores Golden 3 *, Shores Amphoras 5 *. We went to fish in Shores Amphoras 5 * - not particularly impressed. The only drawback in the food system is water only from the cooler and into cups, but we solved this problem by buying 6-liter bottles from a store near Shores Golden for 6 liters. - $ 1 (in the same place, by the way, they bought coral slippers 2 times cheaper than on the beach).
Tours. Hotel guide - Mohammed.
After reading various reviews, we were preparing that we would be almost forced to buy excursions by force. We were very pleasantly surprised, the guide first told us everything about the hotel, then about Sharm, left his phone number and only at the end politely asked if we were interested in excursions. We looked at the list he gave us and took the following:
Diving on the island of Tiran ($ 50 here and further prices per person) - I was not particularly impressed, near the hotel the marine diversity is much cooler, we were explained this by the fact that beginners are specially immersed in those places where it is safer.
Ras Mohammed by bus ($40) - beautiful reefs, an interesting terrestrial part of the reserve, but the underwater world, again, is more diverse near the hotel.

Lost Land Safari ($ 85) - Travel (under heavy security) to the north of Egypt to Taba, a panorama view from a point from which you can see the territory of Jordan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, walking along 4 canyons (Narrow, Coral, caramel, chocolate). Then a boat trip around the island of the Pharaohs with the fortress of Salah ad Dina.
Meeting the dawn in the desert on ATVs ($ 18) - this was the only excursion that we took not from a hotel guide, but from an office on the beach. The result - among the entire crowd, we were the only representatives of foreign states, all the rest (40 people) were Egyptians. But everything went well, I liked the tour.
And finally, about the main attraction of Egypt - the sea. It is incomparable! ! ! On the beach of the hotel there is a wonderful coral reef (a small pontoon, 15 meters). We swam with a camera in an underwater box. First, we took pictures of everything (parrot fish, surgeons, butterflies, angels, hedgehog fish, etc. ).
etc. ), then they began to look for something unusual, the result: 2 moray eels, a stingray, octopuses, Napoleon fish, barracuda, lionfish. Near the island of the Pharaohs there are still many sea urchins, clown fish, sea cucumbers.
In the end, about the sad: the only thing that I didn’t like was the harassment of Arab merchants in the city, and tourists (not all, but quite a lot) from among our Slavic brothers, rude to staff, drinking on the beach, etc.
Brief conclusion: we will recommend the hotel to our friends, and if we decide to return to Sharm El Sheikh again, we will choose it.

P. S. Thanks to all the members of the forum who previously answered our questions and especially to Nadin65 for posting the maps of Sharm (very useful when walking around Sharm)! ! !
