Hi all! Rested from 14.04. 2012 to 15.04. 2012 (only 1 day). We are a married couple of 29 and 33 years old. In Egypt 5th time in Sharm 4th. The hotel was chosen based on very good reviews, so we leave our own.
Our vacation ended with a request to move to another hotel, the guide granted the request, for which many thanks to him!
Due to family circumstances, our vacation was in jeopardy, so we waited for it as a miracle. A miracle happened. Before arriving in Egypt, we contacted the hotel's guest relations manager, Ruslana, and asked for a room not on the first floor and with at least some partial or distant sea view. She told us that the request was taken into account. With a joyful heart, we set off.
ACCOMMODATION AND SERVICE:
We arrived late in the evening, the territory was pleasing to the eye, although it was already dark. And then the surprises began. The receptionist promised a very good room (we also remembered that Ruslana took note of our request), they gave the boy 10 dollars.

They settled very quickly, BUT with what surprise we found that they were leading us to one-story bungalows! ! ! Well, we were very tired, we didn’t argue, we gave a “tip” to the porter and settled in. The bungalow was not bad, although small. At the expense of the sea view: it appeared only if you leave the bungalow and walk 10 meters towards this very sea. ))))
We went to dinner, the food was already all cold, because it was quite late. We sat down at the table on the street, the waiter came, asked what we would drink, we ordered. Why he asked, we did not understand, because we did not see him again until the end of dinner. This happened to us for the first time, they were unpleasantly surprised, but they did not “bother”.
Alas, the "surprises" did not end there.
Looking around, we saw a huge number of vacationing local people with their families, they were glad that, despite the revolution, people still have the opportunity to relax. Let's go look for a place to sit down. We went out onto the lawn near the Lobi Bar, where there were tables under the open sky, but all the seats were occupied. We stood for about 5 minutes, until 1 table was free, they came up and sat down. The table was littered with rubbish (seeds, used tea bags, dirty dishes), but while we sat for 20 minutes, no one from the staff came up and cleaned. Moved to another vacated more clean table. Finally, the waiter came, partially removed from us, but did not approach the previous table. We asked him if this is the way it is with them, he answered us that all questions are for the Lobi bar. Strange, this is the first time this has happened to us. People came out, but not finding clean tables, they left.
In other hotels in such situations, the waiter immediately approached, somewhere finds a free table, cleaned it, brought chairs to it and seated it, and all this was done with a smile. The answer to all the surprises was seen in the Lobi-bar. Everything is occupied by the local population, the work of the entire staff is aimed at meeting their needs, everyone is running around them, fussing, even the music is exclusively Arabic. Well, if only 1 out of ten songs were staged in English, do the interests of other guests not count? We also paid money and our money is no worse.

The last bold point: they began to look for a short way to their number. They ran around the territory of their “NUBIAN VILLAGE” - there is no such number, they ran around again - there is no our number, they ran around 5 again - NO, AT ALL CRY! ! ! And it's already night outside. And then they remembered that they read in one of the reviews that there were no places in NUBIAN VILLAGE and people were settled in NUBIAN ISLAND, they ran there, O MIRACLE, FOUND! ! !
Yes, we do not mind that we were settled in another hotel, BUT THEY FORGOT TO TELL US ABOUT THIS!!! ! !

The overall impression was spoiled, we decided not to “rape” ourselves and in the morning asked to be moved to another hotel, we were moved without additional payments, we only paid for a taxi. The hotel was of a much higher standard, and we had no complaints about the service.
Briefly about other aspects that we managed to consider in 1 evening:
TERRITORY: Very beautiful, green and well-groomed, interesting landscape design.
ANIMATION: Great for Egypt, we saw the show of Chinese acrobats, they work great.
IMPRESSIONS: It is possible that the hotel is not bad, but we were just unlucky to get at such a time. For the 5th time in Egypt, the above "surprises" happened to us for the first time.
