The sea has pronounced low tides, from the pontoon the sea is of course clean and beautiful, on the shore if you are with a child, everyone flounders in one small lagoon, and that’s it. If you pay attention to the animation, there is none all day, you had to turn on music on your phone, in the evening there is a show program and that’s all. I can’t say that the vacation was ruined, we didn’t stay at the hotel, we took excursions for the last 4 days and went to the city. I definitely won’t recommend this hotel, draw your own conclusions.
Super hotel! Everything was very good!!!
Food - octopus, crab, shrimp and squid!!!
Super clean! Everyone is welcome!!!
Everyone asks if everything is in order!!!!
Hotel 100%!!!! !
Well, we decided to leave a review about the rest this year (9 nights 20.10-29.10)!
We rested in Egypt with children 9 and 15 years old not for the first time, there is something to compare.
PROS: The territory is very clean, well-groomed, lots of greenery. A magnificent lagoon, a large beach, there are always free sunbeds, the main restaurant is not only for visiting with children, but also without. In the second, there are never queues, it is quiet and calm. Juices from packages, other drinks not diluted, there are smoothies, ice cream. The food is good, every other day the sea food, the waiter brings drinks in the restaurant, you need to wait a bit.
MINUSES:
Check-in at 14.00, it was possible to agree at 12.00, they wanted of course earlier.
From 4 am tried to sleep in the lobby. The rooms are ordinary, old, the air conditioning unit is located in the hallway under a false ceiling, it makes a lot of noise. It didn't get cold for a couple of days. Cards from the number are constantly demagnetized. At the reception went sometimes 2 times a day to magnetize.
MAIN MINUS: the pontoon at the hotel does not work, you can see the sunken ship on the coral line. They were not allowed to go to the reef on the neighboring pontoon, as our hotel is not served. The pontoon from which you can go down to the reef through the hotel (the pontoon of the Jazz hotel chain, 30 minutes walk, the declared transport to the pontoon was not seen.
MEGA MINUS, you haven’t seen anything like this anywhere: you didn’t have time to come to dinner before 18:30 you will stand in line for 40-50 minutes and after the seat is vacated you will be escorted to the table, after 19:30 you can go to the main restaurant without a queue, but the seats are fresh air - if you're lucky.
As a rule, they tried to come to clean 17:30-18:00 when the bath procedures after the sea. Replacement of beach towels in rooms after 18.00. Never been replaced. The service personnel of our building were caught and changed manually.
Outcome:
Accommodation: 7.8
Power: 8.2
Sea: lagoon 9.5, pontoon 5
Average score: 7.6
Globally, you need to know 2 things:
1) This is the Nabh area where it is always windy. We were comfortable in October, heat + wind, but in winter it’s definitely not worth going here
2) this hotel does not have a bridge to enter the sea, and this is a real problem. Especially when the tide is out, swimming is almost impossible, the depth of the sea is waist-deep.
Otherwise, typical Egyptian 5 stars. Spacious rooms, 2 pools, a lot of monotonous food, terrible alcohol, bad wi-fi.
At the same time, it is clear that they are trying to do everything they can for the guests.
A wonderful holiday if you are familiar with the specifics of Egypt)
About the room: the number of rooms, like everything around, is already tired, shabby. We had a family room on the first floor - we liked it. The view from the "balcony" (it's more like a small terrace with a table and two chairs and no railings) - was quite normal: we observed running oduds and green spaces.
The number itself consists of:
1. the corridor in which there is a closet - creaky, there is a safe, free of charge;
2. bathroom (in the bathroom, consider a non-working hair dryer - for whom you need it, take your own, toothbrushes, pastes, washcloths - no (although on the third or fourth day they still brought shower gel in a separate container). Shower gel and he the shampoo is poured into the dispenser that hangs in the shower). From bath accessories: body lotion, hair balm, shower cap, 1 bar of soap and a bag.
There were three of us (two adults and a child), but for two days we were diligently given only two towels - they began to leave three, only after the request of the worker, who actually put the room in order and changed the towels. Water in the shower with poor pressure, especially in the evening (it was often almost impossible to adjust the temperature of the water: either boiling water or cold flowing, but not warm).
3. rooms with two sofas. Tiles are laid throughout the room and the sofas are quite high - we put pillows in case the child rolls out of bed out of habit.
4. rooms with a large bed: there is a TV, the remote control for which did not work. Sockets are a separate issue - we charged all our appliances in the bathroom - there it was the safest in appearance. From the same room, access to the balcony through a sliding door - always double-check that it is exactly closed when you leave.
The interior is a kind of beige-brown unobtrusive design. The smell of the room either gives dampness, or "smells like grandmothers. "
For us, a big minus is the central air conditioner - very noisy and almost not adjustable.
In terms of cleanliness: room cleaning is mediocre, there was rubbish in the guides of the sliding door, and when we arrived and all the time we were there, the floor - maybe someone was pulling a broom. The curtain has some stains and stains, the bedding seems to be clean, but somehow worn out, or something. There are a lot of birds on the territory - that's why the balcony is a little constantly polluted.
The sea and the beach: at high tide at the deepest point, with a height of 165 cm, I was somewhere up to the chest, at low tide - up to the waist. That is, the sea here is just a children's option, if you want the child to learn to swim - there are no waves, relatively not deep, salty water.
There is no reef here (there is a place where literally 10-15 small fish swim and that's it, but there are moray eels and a lot of mollusks in shells - I don’t advise touching them). The bottom is strewn with fragments of dead corals, it is not very pleasant to move barefoot, in some places, perhaps even traumatic.
The beach itself is huge - you can completely choose a place for yourself and there will be no people within a radius of 5 meters - this is a plus, but at the same time there is no great need for this, because it is very hot and we literally sat in the water from morning to afternoon.
I recommend taking corals with you (we didn’t have them, we bought them there. The price in the Arcade (these are shops inside the hotel) is $ 4 a pair, but if you strongly bargain, you can take three pairs for 10. Their quality is mediocre, but they do their job).
There are two bars on the beach (one is just with juices and alcohol, the second is a snack bar) In the snack bars, if you are a decent person and ask if you can take a plate to your room to eat, you will not be allowed, but those who are more impudent just took and carried where they need.
Territory of the hotel: quite large, green, many beautiful flowering plants. On the territory there are two children's pools with a depth of 45 cm (one indoor with a slide), 4 pools with a depth of about 140 cm, with a gentle entry, the pool is open from 8 am to, it seems, 18 or 19:00 (the rules indicate: until sunset) . The territory is treated from mosquitoes with some kind of smoke screen (a car drives and smokes) and something is puffed into the irrigation hatches. We were bitten only once, and then not much.
There are water slides, but only children from 10 years old are allowed there!
Animation didn't really bother us - whether it exists or not, we basically don't care. Our child liked the live music in the evenings.
Food: for 7 days of stay they gave shrimp 2 times, since there were squids, fish almost every day. The food is not the peak of culinary skills, but in principle it is delicious. Is it varied? I wouldn't say. I really liked the desserts, although I'm not a sweet tooth at all.
We always ate at the same table and our hands constantly stuck to it at the end - those tables were wiped very mediocrely. Incidentally entrance and stay in the restaurant and throughout without a mask.
Now about the day of departure: we had an early check-out, the transfer was indicated at 1:10 at night, after asking the staff if they would deliver our luggage - they said that the staff would pick it up 20 minutes before the transfer, in the end we waited almost an hour and drove it themselves (somehow throwing things under the number is not a very idea). At 1:10 the transfer bus did not arrive, we asked the reception - we were told to expect that, like, being late here is almost the norm.
Well, ok, we waited 15 minutes (this is the time indicated on the Join UP departure information sheet) and started calling the company representative (here I would like to mention our GUIDE - which, as it turned out, was of no use at all - he did not warn that our flight delayed for an hour and, as a result, the transfer too).
As a result, the transfer arrived at 2 am. All this time we were sitting in the hall where the reception is located. And not only did the conder work there so that I wanted to put on a jacket, it was also smoky so that there was nothing to breathe. By the way, it was a culture shock for me that people there smoke on the beach, on the terrace of the restaurant and, as it turned out, indoors - it's just awful.
On the way, the hotel gave us "breakfasts": a bottle of water, juice and a couple of sandwiches - thanks, of course, but what's the point, if liquid in such a container cannot be carried to the airport, and eating it in half an hour while going to the airport in the middle of the night is still a gamble .
Summing up about the hotel: the staff is quite friendly, makes contact and tries to solve the questions posed to them, the number of rooms leaves much to be desired, the food, in principle, is delicious. We did not expect anything fantastic from visiting this hotel and, in principle, we were satisfied with the hotel.
And now I recommend reading to those who have not been to Egypt and are thinking whether it is worth flying there:
Flight: we arrived in Sharm local time around 3 am and went through customs until 5 am!! ! One window!! ! 2 hours! 3 or 4 flights flew in at once, almost 200 people each, and this whole crowd with small children stood (it is not provided to sit down there) for TWO hours (we were in many places and there was no such schizophrenia anywhere).
During this time, you need to present a PCR test (they look at it in general without even checking what is written there, just a person looks so that you have a piece of paper), then you fill out the migration card, then you go to the queue, which almost does not move because everyone is photographed , scan passports and fingers, if you didn’t fill out the migration card correctly, then you stand and rewrite. And after 2 hours you can still get out of there.
But the most interesting thing is when you take off! This is generally tinny: in order to get to the check-in desk, you need to present tickets or boarding passes, passports, go through the frame, shine your luggage, you are groped (it doesn’t matter whether the frame squeaks or not), even our 5 year old child was deceived.
Next, the check-in desk where it’s just some kind of bazaar and a farce (the man behind the counter issued tickets, then got up, went to another one who issued tickets - he got distracted and started laughing together - it lasted about 5 minutes - just trash). Next, you need to fill out an exit migration card, then stand in the passport control queue, and scan your fingers again.
Further more interesting: a chain of queues for the "frame", where (literally 10 meters from passport control) there is again a person who just looks at the passport, then a queue for the frame and (!!! ) for women separately for men separately. Everything is taken off here, as usual, and everyone's SHOES!
After the frame (it doesn’t matter if you squeak or not), they are again clapped from head to toe, by the way, at this moment, a 50-gram minzurka of whiskey was taken away from my husband (you can carry this at all airports - you see, you can’t here), if you are carrying a laptop, they will open it, turn it on , some kind of crap is driven around it, then you need to fill in your name and passport number in some tattered, shabby magazine (hygiene and anti-epidemiological standards, of course, are "observed" in the form of one pen for all! ) and only after THIS is all the same you can go down and wait for the landing.
I’ll honestly say that after such procedures for arrival and departure, there is no desire at all to visit this country anymore.
We have been to many places and have seen and experienced this for the first time.
I will describe in more detail about our vacation. My family and I are in Sharm for the third time, and we chose a new hotel in the Nabq area. Who knows and who doesn't, in this area it is very difficult to find a normal beach where one could swim, only solid corals, shallow water and long pontoons.
But there are exceptions:
1) the Barcelo hotel, the furthest of all, there is a natural lagoon with a gentle entrance
2) the Jaz Mirabel hotel, which has an artificial swimming lagoon. At high tide, the depth of the sea is 1.5 m (tides are twice a day). The beach is wide, from the rooms to the beach PLAIN, no need to jump up the stairs. Sunbeds are more than enough for everyone, unlike Barcelo. The Jaz network, it must be said, did a good job of overcoming the usual shortcomings of Egyptian hotels, service and food were at the proper level for the top five.
So the PROS:
1) Sea. Beach with the opportunity to swim not only from the pontoon.
2) Territory. Green, well-groomed, beautiful.
3) Restaurant. Great waiter service, delicious(! ) food, average variety. Covid-19 restrictions are observed and this is even a plus when you yourself cannot paw what anyone wants.
4) Live music in the evenings.
5) An ideal kids club and the best animator Masha from Ukraine!
6) Water park - class.
7) Do not bother to buy an elephant
8) High-quality animation team - fire!
9) It is comfortable to relax with a child, there is always a free sunbed under a canopy near the pools
10) Chic bars and food courts, great beer and drinks.
11) We were given a number more abruptly than our Standard for FREE.
12) No problems with luggage, check-in / check-out, everything is comfortable.
13) Wi-Fi (free) is surprisingly tolerable, even finished off the beach!
14) We can continue indefinitely, the best hotel we have ever been in this class.
MINUSES:
1) Sound quality could be better. Sound engineer needed for live music and amphitheater!
2) Food to go to the airport could have been put better!
Good animation, there are always some activities (exercise, water aerobics, dancing, volleyball, etc. ), which is bad - it's all after 10.00 and under the sun. For children there is a children's room (even during this period it worked), in the evening there is a disco.
The only negative is the shallow sea, the pontoon at the hotel does not work, but the length of the pontoon itself is about 1 km, which is not very good. Therefore, the hotel is more for those who have children or who do not like to swim.
We lived in a family room. The renovation is not new, but everything is clean and tidy. 2 rooms, one of them is walk-through. We lived on the 1st floor. Terrace overlooking the pool, table and chairs.
Internet sometimes catches in the room sometimes not, if you need a reliable connection you need to go either to the Reception or to one of the bars. By the way, there are a lot of them. 2 on the beach, 3 near the pools. There you can have breakfast and lunch overlooking the sea. A pond adjoins the terrace of the main restaurant, around which white herons walk, it is interesting to watch them. The beach is very big. Plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. The entrance to the sea is gentle, coarse sand. Very petty. There are few fish, for those who like to watch the underwater world of the Red Sea it will be boring. The maximum depth of a meter is 1.5.
On the beach there is a club for renting and teaching windsurfing. Very good instructors, I tried it for the first time - they taught me in 30 minutes)!
Minuses. The reef is far from the coast. Meters 500-600. In order to get to it you need to go along a long pontoon. The hotel's own pontoon is closed for renovations. You need to go along the embankment to the pontoon of the neighboring hotel. Approximately 1 km. Electric cars ride for free. The pontoon opens for swimming at 9 am. Too late. Closes at 17.
Apparently the hotel is in a very windy area. Strong wind almost all the time. The pontoon is closed. Red flag. Out of 8 days, there was no wind for one day. He allowed me to swim off the pontoon a couple of times. Reef is so-so.
A ping pong table stands in the sun and wind. When the sun sets and the wind subsides a little, it closes. Is it really impossible to think over some kind of pavilion that protects from the wind with lighting?
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Mr. the director of the hotel, Mr. Emad. At our request, given the windy weather, several trips were organized to a magnificent windless beach with an excellent coral reef and a rich underwater world! Thanks )!
