In EGYPT 7th time and we can compare. From 11/25/13 to 12/9/13 we rested in this hotel. Departure at 9 oo from Kyiv (Borispol) - back from Sharm at 14 oo. The flight was operated by Kharkiv Airlines, tour operator PEGAS TOURISTIK. Everything was very clearly on schedule - worked out on "5". I also liked the Borispol airport - unlike the Moscow airports - it is very free, there are no queues at passport control, etc. In the Sharma airport, they issued the "SINAI STAMP" - without problems and persuasion (or even threats) buy a VISA.
Now about the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 14:30 local time, which coincides with Kievsky. Filled out a form and asked for a quiet room. We were taken to see No. 2511, where we stayed. The room is very spacious, 1st floor, very large terrace. Everything in the room worked. We dismantled things, decomposed, changed clothes and went to explore the territory. The room is a 3-minute walk from the "reception" and the main restaurant. Since we didn’t really want to get to lunch, we weren’t in a hurry to go anywhere, but had a bite of “buters” in the lobby bar. We walked around a fairly large area. The territory is very picturesque and the emphasis is on stone, water, waterfalls, cascades, etc. I was very pleased with the funicular and numerous pools - there are only 7 of them.
The next day there was a meeting with the hotel guides Olga and Dasha. Excursions were not imposed on anyone, some excursion tours were described in detail, they did not tell any “horror stories” about “left” excursions and recommended not to leave the hotel area on their own. Dasha and Olga were at the hotel almost all the time and were always ready to help. They have enough work to do and there are still fights with some of our brothers - the Slavs, who occasionally deign to "eat" vodka not for a kilogram of brain, but for a kilogram of weight and can sleep in the lobby at the bar. In general, the hotel is dominated by Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians. There are also English, Germans, Poles, Italians and a relatively large number of Arab families.

Service. Room cleaning, linen change, etc. EXCELLENT. Cleaner MAHMUD, well done at a meeting, was always interested in whether everything was in order with the cleaning, and what would be the wishes, he twisted all kinds of animals out of towels, regardless of whether we left something for him or not. In general, all the staff are very friendly and throughout the whole time there is no negativity, which, I can assure you, does not always happen.
Nutrition. Regulars say that it used to be better here, but now everyone is trying to save money on everything. Breakfast, as in all hotels in Egypt, is traditional - sausages, eggs in various forms, sliced sausage, cheese (very salty), cheese, vegetables. Guava fruits, oranges (when whole, when sliced), bananas, dates. 2-4 types of yogurt, mousses, “Fresh” (free of charge), juices in large containers, but not “powdered”, but poured from packages - I myself have repeatedly witnessed, because came to the opening - it's a pity to lose hours of short daylight hours. Tea and coffee are delivered by the waiters, and quite quickly. Everyone talks and writes a lot about baking, I join the laudatory reviews.
Dinner and supper. There were no special frills and a wide assortment, but everything was cooked very tasty. Very good for lunch and dinner was beef with stewed vegetables.
Alcoholic drinks are locally produced and a lot has been written about them more or less. In bars, bartenders pour, and at lunch and dinner they order from the waiters and usually you don’t have to wait long. But it should be noted that either the waiters do not know what and how much to pour, or our compatriots have already spoiled them - wine and strong drinks like ROMA are brought in almost the same amount (100-130g). From 11 o'clock you can have a good meal on the beach in the restaurant, which becomes fish in the evening. Served by waiters during the day and in the evening. They remembered me there and brought more wine, but I didn’t take strong during the day. Of course, you need to smile and at least occasionally give “baksheesh” and not be rude in the hope that they will not understand you anyway - they will understand. We visited a Bedouin restaurant with pleasure, everything is fine, but sitting “in Turkish” is somehow not customary. In general, we must pay tribute to the bars, there are a lot of them, there are no queues, some bars work from 8-00 in summer and from 9-00 in winter, which is quite rare - usually from 10-00 to 11-00 (there are such hotels).

In general, there are lines in the main restaurant for lunch and dinner, although the restaurant is quite large and usually 2 distributions are made in such restaurants - this is not here, but the stewards quickly find places and seat everyone at the CLEARED and SERVED tables - a big plus for them for this. And these are RESTAURANTS, not "canteens" - only cotton napkins in all restaurants, as well as cutlery, knives and forks for meat, for fish, i. e. full equipment, which is not always seen in Egypt.
Beaches. There are enough places for everyone and sunbeds too, but those who want to take a place where you can go directly into the sea need to take places early in the morning. There, they mainly try to take places with kids or those who are afraid of depth and the "population density" there is quite high. Since the beach is, as it were, divided into several zones, lying on the beach does not feel like sunbathing on the football field. From the pontoon, and there are 2 of them and a depth of about 11 meters, it is good to swim, but in the morning there is a rather strong current and this must be taken into account. The reef and living creatures are not very diverse, but there is something to see. In general, there was a feeling that some of the corals are gradually dying.
We can’t say anything about the animation - we didn’t participate. They went to bed early and met the dawn in the fresh air. We can't say anything about the pools either. Only a couple of times, for fun, we "dipped" in the "hot pool" near the FITNESS center. Fans of MANGO, etc. exotic, all sorts of oriental sweets, can walk from the hotel to the shopping arcade for about 1001 nights (300 meters to the right). In the same place, if you turn left and walk along the stretching shopping malls to the end, on the opposite side of the street you will see the METRO store, with FIXED PRICES, but only Egyptian money is accepted there. There, of course, they can be exchanged at the “changers” at the rate of 1 to 6, and the official rate is 1 to 7.
Summarizing the above, I can say that the rest was a success in all respects, and we were also lucky with the weather, which cannot be said about today. Despite everything, "HILTON" is "HILTON" in whatever part of the world he would not be. WE RECOMMEND
