We really liked the hotel, because we got a rare pleasure to live in a hotel that is filled with local flavor (which is very lacking in Egyptian hotels). Arabic style and intricate architecture, surrounded by greenery, flowers and pools, give the hotel its zest and charm.
Of course, the hotel is not new, but somehow you don’t notice it - it is not badly preserved and very pleasant. Of course they save (on dishes, napkins, promotional trinkets that should be in the room, but the cleaners do not distribute them), but this is also excusable, because it is very nice here. The hotel is simply created for photo shoots, although it is poorly filled. As they wrote in some review, it’s a pity that few people come here, because for sure, this would bring additional bonuses to vacationers (for example, in 2015 they took them to Farana Reef for free and there were identical bracelets, the owner is one, and now everything is in some desolation).
Location.

The hotel is located on the outskirts (extreme - next to the reserve). District - Nabq. So far to go to "civilization". By minibus - 5 pounds to the Old City. Taxi to Soho $4-5. I’ll note right away - NABC, the windiest bay of Sharma, in winter it is very, very unpleasant, but tolerable. Therefore, the hotel is better for summer holidays - it will be cool here.
Rooms.
The entire hotel is made up of 2-storey buildings. Very nice rooms with steps. On the 1st floor down and a large mirror to the floor next to it, the ceiling is a minimalist arch, there are lamps all around. On the second floor there is a ladder up, there is no mirror to the floor and the ceiling is ordinary. Everything is painted in the pleasant colors of the desert. And all around Arabic tiles. And the bathroom is all made of tiles, just class. Some complained that the water was barely warm, but you need to practice with a shower (it is not standard, turn it to the right) and everything will be as it should - boiling water will go.
Water.
Upon arrival, they don’t give it, and if you don’t have empty bottles, then there will be some difficulties - you need to type in a cooler in a restaurant. We always have empty bottles with us, so there were no problems getting drinking water.
There were also juices (apple juice is especially good) and other sprites and cola, but this is not for everybody. I care about water.
Food.
We liked. Breakfast is basically the same (standard), but hearty: sausages, cheese, feta, feta-based spreads, eggs (boiled and scrambled eggs), vegetables, rice porridge, mashed potatoes, sweets, breakfast cereals, etc. soup, but thin, mostly onion, which without lime (were) not very tasty. For dinner, there are always 3 types of meat: fish, chicken, and meat. Two main side dishes (besides beans and pasta): rice and fried potatoes. There was a very tasty lasagne with cheese and pancakes with cheese. Appetizers and salads, just vegetables. And of course sweets! From fruits: guava, bananas, oranges, melon, apples. So everything is great.
Staff.

Very friendly and cheerful. They try to speak Russian, but. . . At the reception, one guy speaks English, but he is very, very chalky and all in himself (well, the work is nervous : ). The second curly Tony understands everything, but pretends not to understand (the work is nervous : ). They fulfill their minimum (for example, they lodge without delay at any time - a bunch of empty rooms) and without extortion. They quickly screwed in the bulbs at the request, but the toilet still leaks : ). In general, it is difficult to solve a non-standard problem with them.
Cleaners seem to cope (I'm not picky), but for a van dollar, you will get a sculpture of towels (and hence towels on the floor : ).
Animation.
There are - at the pools from 10 to 17 some activities (yoga, darts, ping pog) and music (there is nothing on the beach in winter - it blows away). In the evening there is also something (standard - fakir show, hotel bowl, etc. ). At the request of the guests from the theater (it was cold), the program was moved to the bar. They say that they are well guarded at discos (a trip like $ 5), they even fought for a girl whom a local tried to touch. In general, who wants - will find a good company.
Wi-Fi.
Well, yes…. 2 dollars for the first day? . So buy a SIM card at the airport. Although, our phones did not support Egyptian 4 and were useless. Kyivsvrov Internet did not work? .
Sea and beach.

And now for the saddest part : ). The hotel has a beautiful sandy beach... but... it is blown by all the winds, the waves are gigantic! On the left and right, they seem to be smaller, but there are some difficulties about which no one has written normally. There are no corals, and even if there are 50-70 meters away, it is almost impossible to enter the water because of the waves. Yes, they wrote that there is something on the left and right, but again a big BUT! On the left is the "city" beach and they drive there (and there are no corals). Behind him are the possessions of the Bedouins, they control entry into the sea. Without chocolate or money, it’s better not to go there. This is a real gypsy camp, where they want something from you. In addition, it is difficult to enter, strong surf (sausages between corals decently), and there is nothing special to see. Not many fish either. The receptionist told (Tony) that there are also corals on the right. We went, but there is the beach of the Barcello hotel and the guards are chasing. If you have time to jump into the water with equipment, your happiness - do not go out longer. It is more interesting here, and even a lot of fish on the sandy part (baited). Although even here you need to swim carefully so that you don’t hit the coral with the surf. In general, we found, probably, the only place in Sharm where there are no corals ? . And it was not possible to break out somewhere where there is. So this place is not for weak swimmers (waves) and not for snorkeling (nothing to see).
The main bonus of the hotel.
This is one good person! ? The owner of the “fragrant” shop is Kemal (he works alone, all other shops are closed). It is very easy to get to know him, he meets hotel guests at the restaurant. He rescued us and many others many times, because the hotel neglects this. He delivered everything you need (the hotel is out of the way! ) - strawberries and limes (1 kg = $ 1), nuts and melons, cigarettes, bags and even seafood soup from the Farez restaurant ($ 3), exchanged dollars for pounds (at the reception rate worse). He also did cosmetic procedures for women for free so that they could evaluate his product (cheaper than in a factory). He gave useful advice on what and how (including prices). And most importantly, he shared his Wi-Fi for free (don't chat at the reception, it's a secret!!! ). Gold, not man! Everyone crowded into his shop, was it like a ritual? . Without him, the holiday would have been worse.
Conclusion: in general, I liked the hotel, if it weren’t for mosquitoes (take funds, because they don’t poison them here and they are completely brutal) and there would be coral (or they would be taken to Farana), everything would be perfect. They settled where I wanted, and for all the trips, it was the best settlement (building 2 in flowers and close to the reception and restaurant, overlooking the pools and the sea) and completely free (i. e. they didn’t give a bribe). It is very calm and pleasant, there is where to walk and sunbathe. So for a hot summer, this is not a very bad choice. Please consider this option.
