From the rest we strongly recommend to refrain.
PLUSES: beach, sea, corals.
MINUSES:
- check-in and check-out is horribly organized
- C grade food (for delicious food - definitely not here)
- the rooms are very tired
- the territory is poorly maintained, and in some places it hurts to look ...
- no one cares about the guests, everything has to be knocked out ...
- management is a solid deuce - the organization of all processes is sad (.
If you have ever rested in good hotels - not a foot here!
- Hotel. Located in the “northern corner” of the Domina complex, it consists of one building No. 65 in the form of the letter O. Inside the “letter” there is a pool only for its own, sun loungers with mattresses, calm music. The place is quiet, remote from the animation and the center of evening entertainment. They settled before 14.00 without money, but at the check-out they cut off the bracelets at 12.00, they didn’t give lunch, okay, it was only a couple of hours before the transfer. This is strange, previous times the bracelets were not cut off at all. Wi-Fi is so-so, weak and “not regular”, but I had enough for mail and messages.
- Rooms.
The rooms are spacious, there are bathrobes, slippers, four-poster beds, a real bath (not a shower), a toilet with a bidet is a separate room (not a shared bathroom), a dressing room (not a closet in the corridor), mosquito net on balcony door, replenished mini-bar of drinks (there is a replenished bar in the Sultan, not in the Oasis and Aquamarine, there are drinks once, upon check-in). Everything is not new, but in good condition, all appliances and plumbing worked. Cleaning every day, the dollar to the cleaner either put it, or didn’t put it - he cleaned it the same way.
I did not like the blankets - artificial, shaggy, like "plush". They are heavy and parky. It is also inconvenient to hide with bedspreads - large, and not square, with cutouts.
Mosquitoes are poisoned, in the room and by the pool they are seen in very small quantities, singly.
- Nutrition. In any Domina restaurants (except paid A la Carte), almost around the clock (there is no food for only a couple of hours, see the attached scanned copies).
One of the affordable restaurants "El Wady" right on the beach. The restaurant "El Sultan" organized a "children's corner", with special. food: potatoes, cereals, soups, fish and meat. Everything is steamed, stewed, something in milk, without excess spices. Restaurant "Spices" refers to the hotel Harem, there is upholstered furniture, oriental style. The food in all these restaurants, in my opinion, is the same or with minimal differences.
The set of fruits is always standard: guava, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, banana, melon, dates, fresh apples in some kind of syrup. Oranges, tangerines, bananas - whole, not cut, you can take with you to the beach. They feed for slaughter, breakfast is standard, always 99% the same (scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausages, sliced sausages and cheeses, vegetables, fruits, pancakes (tasteless), sweets - in assortment, + several hot dishes and all sorts of other little things). Lunch and dinner - changing menu, with some repetitions. Fish, meat, chicken, duck. There were squids on skewers. You can't remember everything.
Side dishes and vegetables fresh and cooked variety. Every dinner something on the grill. Lots of sweets, desserts in vases. Previously, tea in the restaurant was only in the morning (the rest of the time - in bars) now - there is always. I didn't drink coffee, so I can't speak for the quality. There are coffee machines, it says: Nescafe, options: black, espresso, americano, latte. Domina has noticeably improved in terms of nutrition over the past year, but there are still no juices, more precisely, there are 3-4 types of draft drinkers, but they are somehow “not real”. : -)
In the bars "snacks": between breakfast and lunch - pizza, between lunch and dinner - hot dogs and burgers. In time, they lay out more fruits, muffins, ice cream (ice cream is rubbish), and so on. Cocktails in bars are minimal and primitive.
- Beach. You can use the common beach and the beach of the Sultan Hotel. The latter is located on the edge of the complex, a small floating pontoon, there are usually few people on it, there is no animation on this beach.
On this beach for children, a “paddling pool” near the shore is fenced off with buoys. From the room to the Sultan beach, I walked in 5 minutes. There are always free places on both beaches and on a large floating pontoon (which is located on the main beach). The weather was super, the water is clean and warm, there are many different beautiful fish, the corals are not bad.
People - mostly scoop and Italy (20-30% I think). Other languages - singularly.
- Services and entertainment. For guests of the Elisir Hotel, free access to the SPA center: you can use the Turkish bath (hammam), jacuzzi baths with heated sea water and swimming pools. All other spa treatments are discounted. It's still cool, the sun set at 16.45, after that it's nice to spend an hour or two in the jacuzzi and sauna.
In the diving center there is a free rental of fins-masks-snorkels, as it is written, I did not use it myself, everything was with me.
It says one special dinner is free.
Guest relation girls said that only pizza dinner on Fridays is free, no choice, other options are paid.
A visit to the gym is also included in the price.
Animation and evening entertainment is. During the day - around the pool and on the central beach, evening program - in the center of the complex. I'll post the schedule so I don't have to paint.
They are building a common minigolf field, while at the stage of concrete mixers. : -)
Liked the hotel. However, I liked all the Domina Coral Bay hotels I visited.
First. This is not a hotel but a waste of money! If you want to go here because, as you were told, it is youthful, cheerful, with a large territory - break off!! ! As our guide told us, travel agencies tell stories!! ! Yes, the territory is really huge, green, but being far from your hotel you won’t even be able to drink free water, and don’t lick on the beach of your hotel either, and you won’t swim in the water “not yours”... Elizir is Elizir. And the beach near Elizir is small, and the places for swimming are a square 3x3, you start to swim to the side somewhere - they kick you out. (I went here for the sake of the sea, since this is not the first time in Egypt and I love it precisely for the sea, I climbed in and got hit on the head a couple of times from neighbors swimming in this square and got out... (((, , ) In the reviews I read that they say "you can go to another beach" - bullshit !!
The food is worse than ever!! ! I want to say right away that I’m not picky at all, I’ve been in fours, but so be it !!!! ! Everything is not fresh, but the choice - the breakfast left hungry. When I read other people's negative reviews, I thought "ah, bores, they want to eat and not rest, " well, forgive me to feed like that ???!!!!
So my husband sleeps next to me, and I cry and write, because he is here for the first time, and I chose a hotel. I wanted a youth, but here there are only pensioners !! ! Cheerful - and he is tediously stretched !!! ! Comfortable, but here....I advise his grandparents!! ! And if you want to have fun and relax in a larger complex, then - Golen Five City - there you can go to all the bars and restaurants and the beach strip is wide and the food is excellent !! !
the first thing I would like to write
VISA-uv. travelers recently adopted a law in Egypt that if you do not leave the Sinay zone, then you don’t have to pay 15 dollars - just say at customs - Sinay Only - and they put a stamp on you - say the same on departure ! ! !
it is clear that our brother, having drunk whiskey on the plane, is already ready to pay 20 dollars each, supposedly Let them earn! -my same opinion -Why pay more!
HOTEL - uv. travelers who have chosen this particular hotel - remember this is a huge complex consisting of several hotels - which are located at a short distance from each other - you can move around by buses that operate 24 hours and run every 2 minutes - so at the moment the AQUAMARIN hotel is which is located along the entire coastline is CLOSED for reconstruction - everyone who comes to this hotel is accommodated in SULTAN-Sultan - has an old number of rooms and less privileges than Aquamarine - Be careful! !
I can also accommodate you in the HAREM hotel - it is located far from the center of the complex and far from the beach!
we were in ELIZIR - very conveniently located and close to the beach and restaurants + the warmest heated pool! True, the Elizir restaurant is closed and we ate in the Sultan (the restaurant is a bit old, but if you eat on the street, then. . not bad)
FOOD - monotony, but. . not bad - if you don’t overeat, then you can just change dishes - there is nothing boiled for children - but we asked the chefs - they cooked everything quickly and without problems. The service in the restaurant is bad, they just clean the plates and that. . among Italians, you can not pay attention because the process of eating is not so long. We left for tea only the cook who cooked vegetables for us (by the way, maybe they did it on purpose, they didn’t cook vegetables for everyone, but cooked on request, hoping for tea, I don’t know)
NUMBERS-not bad-but. .
you can see the old rooms - the water in the sink did not go away - they cleaned it normally (they stole children's slippers of size 22 - I wonder who needs them? )
GENERAL - the general impression is not bad - the Italian management makes itself felt, that is, no one is rude, everyone smiles, tries to help, suggest. The attitude towards Italians is better. . but this is almost imperceptible. Yes, by the way, a huge number of discos and concerts, for those who want to hang out, just right, because almost from all over the coast come to discos in this hotel. There is a children's club-classes from 9 am, in the evening the children even showed a disco performance! ! very cool
Local alcohol, cola and sprite drinks and jars and water are constantly brought to the room.
The food in the Sultan restaurant is good (except mixed salads)
For the new year, they took tickets to the Coral restaurant for a Latin party. There were Russian dancers, a magician. People also wanted to dance, but there was no special place and there was a flea market in front of the stage, which did not accommodate everyone. The New Year's table was without frills, it's good that there were juices in bags and bottled wine. After one in the morning, people began to disperse.
The beach was also a sultan-large, with sun loungers with a sun canopy, but without mattresses (mesh) as in Italy. But in winter it blows. Last year we were in Continental Plaza, where the bay is more closed from the wind, the reef is richer, but the food is poorer.
We escaped to the spa center where there is no wind and there is a jacuzzi with heated sea water - you can buy a child 32 and 37 degrees.
I didn’t like getting to the playground with a transfer on 2 buses and to the clinic. But if you settle closer to it, then on the central beach it blows even more and the sunbeds are older and the restaurant
the coral is worse than the sultan, no tables by the pool, more hustle. And the food is exactly the same. And there is no bus to naama bay from the hotel. And now in the Sultan they give tea for lunch and dinner for free.
It is beautiful in Coral Bay, and in Domina, in order to emphasize this beauty, they came up with a complex of pontoons - the distance between them is 700 meters, perhaps. The most interesting is the central one: with 2 pools inside, you can not only dive into the water from it, but also sunbathe on it, like on a floating island.
We saw a flock of zebra lionfish, a huge Napoleon fish, a million parrots, tuna, etc. etc. - myriads of fish that surround you from all sides, sometimes even crash, but, surprisingly, they never let you touch them with your hands))) In general, looking at all this splendor, I even dared to scuba dive. My ears hurt during and after, but it's worth it! (A trial dive for 20 minutes cost 40 bucks. By the way, Domin has its own diving center. They say it's not bad).
The food at the hotel was not something out of the ordinary, but I gained 5 kilograms in 12 days. After swimming, I really want to eat. But the most insidious are the desserts. And for dinner - kebabs... + desserts... I confess)))
Our room was nice with a view of the pool. Room service is very unobtrusive (we have never encountered a cleaner), but decent - all linen, towels and even bathrobes were changed every day. Wet cleaning, shampoos, shower gels - delivered as we spent them. One nuance. God forbid you put any things on the floor! On the first day, while laying out cosmetics in the bathroom, I managed to drop a bag with some jars-bottles on the floor in the corner and forgot about it. The cleaner disposed of it, so to speak. I didn’t even get angry - it was my own fault. Everything that is lying on the floor (except for shoes) is either rubbish or a laundress. Law)
Territory - do not walk too far. A couple of times they rode taf-tuff, but mostly they preferred walking - they burned calories. Fortunately, there is where to wander. There is even a shopping and entertainment center, so to speak: several streets on the territory of the resort, where shops, cafes, Internet cafes, and a casino are concentrated. It even has its own farm, which, according to legend, provides the resort with environmentally friendly products. In fact, the farm is nice, but tiny, and able to provide, if not the resort's publicity needs, to become another place to walk and instill in tourists the idea that they are eating healthy food.
The animation was good, but we are not amateurs, we watched from the side or from the sea.
What else? One of the features of the resort is that they live according to Italian time. One hour ahead of Egyptian. This is important when planning trips to the city, for example, on excursions.
In general, we are satisfied: me and my husband and our 8-year-old snorkeler.
