Hi all! Rested from 11/12/2011 to 11/24/2011. We are a married couple of 29 and 33 years old. In Egypt 4th time in Sharm 3rd. The hotel was chosen based on reviews, so we leave our own.
FLIGHT: we flew with Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), the planes are excellent, the pilots are professionals, the takeoff and landing went flawlessly.
ACCOMMODATION:
Settled very quickly, at our request they gave a room on the second floor with a sea view. NUMBERS:
The rooms are spacious, well furnished, everything works, but not new, but we did not notice the ruins (as you can read in some reviews). They didn’t crawl under the washbasin with a camera in search of rust, they didn’t look for cracks in the ceiling, at night you can find something more interesting in the room))). Cleaning every day, qualitatively and thoroughly, the mini-bar is replenished, there is a kettle, tea, coffee and sugar. There are no slippers and bathrobes, but it didn’t bother, we didn’t go for free slippers. For us, the only negative in the rooms was very poor soundproofing, and when your neighbors bring young ladies at night or at the beginning of the third night they wake up under a bottle of vodka with a feeling of burning patriotism and pour along with vodka a conversation about the Motherland and for some reason about Berezovsky, it seems that this is all going on in your room. Soundproofing needs to be strengthened, because. sleep is very difficult.
TERRITORY:
Just huge, although very confusing (we heard that on the first day, many "enjoyed" guests find their rooms only with the help of security). Everything is green, blooming and fragrant, there is an artificial waterfall, a fountain and slides. 5 points!
NUTRITION:
I was very pleased as for Egypt, there are a lot of really tasty dishes, there is a variety, on a fish day they give crabs, shrimps, octopuses, both poultry and meat are deliciously cooked, and there were no poisonings. There are 3 main restaurants - Main, Grill-bar and Sea cuisine. Those who rest up to 10 days are entitled to 1 free visit to the alacarte to choose from, those who rest more than 10 days - 2 visits. We took 1 time Chinese restaurant and 1 time Italian. I liked the cuisine more in the Italian restaurant, it is closer to us, the service in both restaurants is excellent, if possible, we advise you to try both. In addition, on both beaches you can constantly snack: french fries, hamburgers, fish, cauliflower, mini pizza, rolls (I especially liked it), near the main pool a woman makes gozleme (like pasties with different fillings, delicious). Were very satisfied with the food. There is free ice cream.
ALCOHOL:
There are no frills in the form of very interesting cocktails, but quite edible: beer with the taste of beer, gin and tonic (tonic from a can, not from the tap), vodka, whiskey, cognac, rum. They also make various cocktails based on juices from UPI (did not drink). Hookah bar included, quality hookah.
STAFF:
Responsive, polite and helpful. We didn't have any problems. They react well to baksheesh and a smile, badly to rudeness, keep in mind. SEA:
2 beaches - Main and Relax. On the main music and animation, on Relax it is quieter.
The sea itself, alas....We were disappointed. The reef is almost dead and poor for living creatures. We have seen much richer, if you are a snorkeler you will be bored. We went specifically for viewing marine life, it didn’t happen....However, for those who are in Sharm for the first time, or this issue is not important, it will do.
HOW TO SPEND THE EVENING:
1.2 km. from the hotel there is SOHO Square (near the Savoy Hotel), you can take a taxi for 5 dollars. one way or walk 20-25 minutes. We advise you, there is something to see: a skating rink, a musical fountain, statues, bars, restaurants, shops. Very beautiful.
2. At the lobby bar in the hotel every other day live music is performed by the Turkish duo ISTANBUL. Very pleased with excellent voices and a selection of songs: Nikolsky, "Time Machine", "Earthlings" and well-known world hits are performed almost without an accent and with soul. The audience is delighted, many dance with pleasure, the “moon path” danced by a Russian tourist under Michael Jackson performed by a Turkish duet was very pleased))). THANK YOU!!!

ANIMATION:
Daytime animation is not bad, although "without a twinkle" (we saw better). I was surprised by the appearance of the girls-animators, the skirts were simply shocking (not only us, we also talked with other guests), priests and other parts of the body falling out from under the skirts do not look appropriate for everyone (there are people with children, elderly couples, they said FU even very young guys). But in general, the animators individually are not bad guys, they are interested in the work. During the day, darts, boccia, shuffleboard, dancing on the beach, games by the pool, water polo, dance lessons are held.
Evening animation caused a SHOCK: the number with a pissing armless man was not understood by many intelligent people, they began to whistle, in response the animator with the words “SHUT UP” began to throw slippers at the guests. What was that?! ! Is this the level of a 5* hotel? In our homeland, you can deserve to get punched in the face for this. Many simply left the hall after five minutes.
The second show of the "Miss Hotel" "pleased" even more, in one of the contests the skirt was lifted up to the level of the belt, what they saw was commented on, causing a laugh (if it was funny to someone) and a chicken egg was inserted between the legs with the Turk's hands. Very funny (((. It's a pity that the animation administrator Serkan thinks that such a cattle rests in this hotel, which should be entertained only with “outhouse” jokes, if you don’t like hotel guests so much and have such a low opinion of them, then change your job ! ! But the salary of the animators is paid from our vouchers. . . I don't want to overpay for such a dull town.
It's a shame for such a chic hotel to have such poor animation.
